Bounty Hunters and The Zillo Beast

While we were dealing with the invasion of Geonosis somebody managed to liberate Felucia and then they left a Medical Station unguarded, hmm I wonder why it is no longer keeping in contact. Of course I'm dragged along with the main trio to see what's happened, I am very against going as it is obvious that there is going to be a Seperatist prescence. I'm told repeatedly through Hyperspace that there are many reasons that the Station might have stopped contacting us so when we arrive and are attacked by Vulture Droids I am very happy to say I told you so. "Dankel now is not the time!" Anakin shouts at me as our plasma conduits get shot out, as we eject my seat malfunctions preventing the protective bubble from deploying however I'm thankfully wearing my wingsuit. I landed gracefully next to everyone as they were discussing our next move, I chuckle as Obi Wan makes fun of Anakin and I can't help but marvel at the Felucian Rancors while Ahsoka gets the two of them heading towards the farming settlement.

When we reach the farm I walk away from the group, they may be three of the strongest and most skilled Jedi the Order has to offer but oh my they aren't perceptive in the slightest. While they were talking about the healing herbs I spotted the glare of a blasters scope, I cheekily wave before following them to the barn. "This ship doesn't belong to farmers at all Master, it probably does belong to the owner of that scoped blaster that has had its sights on us since we arrived." They immediately get defensive as they finally see it, I smirk before activating my wingsuit and flying over to where the Bounty Hunters are hiding. I formally introduce myself while the rest of the party greets the farmers, I proceed to wait outside while everyone discusses the issues at hand. Rumi the Sniper that I'd waved to watched me cautiously, she was about to say something when one of the farmers came through shouting about the pirates coming.

I jumped up onto one of the houses, keeping out of sight as I watched the exchange happen Hondo Ohnaka was by far one of my favourite characters so finally seeing him in the flesh is quite something. Once they leave I nod to my Master before gliding after them, they'll come to the same conclusion with or without me so what is best for me right now is to make a new friend. I wait until daylight before appearing in front of the Pirate Captain, even with all the blasters pointed at me I walk forward with a smile. "Captain Ohnaka it is an honour to put a face to the name, I am Padawan Dankel Fec my Master is Obi Wan Kenobi." I let him talk for a couple moments before I am asked why I am here, alone, "I'm glad you asked, my Master is definetly a good negotiator however he doesn't understand the type of person you are so I have come to offer you a deal." A chorus of laughter assaulted my ears but I still kept a confident smile, "You leave now and not only will you and your men get to live but I will owe you a favour." The laughter stopped immediately as a favour from a Jedi was no laughing matter, I watched as he considered the offer and smiled when he refused for a monetary payout which I can respect so I turn and leave.

I help prepare more traps and fortifications, I move a water tank into a more convenient position for when the fighting starts. I joke around with the villagers until the attack begins, I'm no good at teaching however I am good at a little trickery. Sleight of hand is extremely easy when you have Telekinesis, combine that with a couple of sparks and I could easily distract the children from the impending attack with a magic show! As soon as the fighting started I shot my Ascension Cable across the gate which left me with a nice pile of injured pirates, I sliced open the water tank using my Saber and guided it under the pirates who began to rush towards me. Placing my hand on the floor I couldn't help but smile as I froze the water, which hand the brilliant side effect of causing all the pirates to slip allowing me to easily disarm them. My main objective arrived soon enough as Hondo's Tank appeared over the ridge and with it the Deaths of a couple of the villagers however I had sliced the main gun with Saber before any of the Bounty Hunters had been hurt. "Should have taken my deal Hondo, it would have worked out better for you~" I begin as I duel against the Captain, even with the Tank moving randomly due to his pet on the controls I was able to easily keep my footing thanks to a couple of well placed Barriers.

I sigh as I sheath my Saber, when Hondo stabs me with the Electro-staff I can't help but smirk at his face when I just stand there while the electricity travels over my body with no effect. I quickly disarm him and hold the staff to his neck, when his pet goes to bite my leg like it does to Anakin in Canon it is met with a few sparks which scares the lil' guy off. "Here's the deal Hondo... You're going to retreat like your crew currently is and we'll keep in touch, I may be a Jedi but I know when it's good to make a new friend." I offer my hand and he takes it, I slip him a communicator with a wink before flinging myself off the ridge landing just in time to hear him shout that the effort is no longer profitable. We get a lift to the nearest Republic outpost from the Bounty Hunters, I leave them a communicator as well as I haven't decided what I'll do if Ahsoka still leaves the Jedi Order so it's better to make connections now right? Anakin and I are dragged onto Windu's mission to Malastare, why was I here? Master Windu thought I'd like the Science aspect which was actually really sweet all things considered, you should see the specs which makes our EMP's look like reguar magnets! 

Despite what you see in the episode Malastare is actually a heavily forested planet, its atmosphere is so Oxygen rich I immediately feel my lungs clear. "Master Windu can you feel that?... I don't think I should use my Pyrokinesis here..." I explain how environments effect my abilities, using how they were weakened on Orto Plutonia as an example. I'm then informed that I'll be with Rex on the front by Anakin and I simply sigh because of course I am, Rex pats my back as I load onto the transport. When we spot the Seperatist army approaching I here one of the Clones swear and I almost lose it then and there, my communicator goes off with an order from Master Windu to go all out provided no harm comes to the Clones. They all scatter away from me as they also heard the order given, many of the 501st troops here saw what I did on Geonosis so they decided to give me my room to work. "They're less than a Klick out Commander, they'll be in range any minute now!" Rex shouted as I formed a single arrow of fire, I'd been given permission to go all out and I was going to make the most of it. As I pulled in more of the air around me to increase the pressure the flames turned a bright green indicating a large amount of Copper in the atmoshere.

As soon as the fighting started I let loose the arrow, just like it did on Geonosis it grew rapidly in size quickly halting the droid army's advance as a fifth of first line of droids melted. I faked a collapse in front of Rex who to his credit quickly got me behind cover, "We'll be able to handle it from here Commander, you get your rest." I could have launched a lot more of those if I wasn't worried about the Clones suffocating from me burning away the atmosphere around them, it finally settled in how powerful I am in the right environment. After a couple minutes I get back into the fight, becoming Rex's shield while he blasts Droids, that's when the bomb gets dropped with the shockwave alone knocking many Clones off their feet. The emitted electromagnetic field caused my poor Sonic to implode, I get as many Clones running as possible just before the sink-hole opens up. I'm ordered to rest while the search efforts are underway however you best believe I jumped down when Master Windu called for help, a tear fell from my eye as I looked upon the Zillo Beast. How many Star Wars fanfics used the Zillo Beast to kill of Palpatine, this could be my ticket to ending the Clone War and saving the Republic from becoming the Empire.

"Master Windu get out of there!" I launched a pillar of fire straight at the Beast, as expected it didn't take any damage and only served to get its attention. That is however when something caught my eye, it looked like a visual glitch in a video game were the textures have distorted slightly, I jumped out the way a swiping attack from the Zillo and threw a fireball at the distortion. Much to my suprise the Beast winced, the distortion cleared to reveal its armour to be dented with a fist size hole at the bottom. I launch two more streams of fire as both Anakin and the evacuation Gunship enter the sink hole, I jump onto Anakin's Fighter as I continue to launch multiple blasts of fire to continue to distract the Zillo. I jumped off and used the Force to push the fighter out of the way of a swing, landing on the Beast I couldn't help but smile as I run up its back. "DANKEL ARE YOU OK?" I heard over the comms, I couldn't help but begin to laugh as I was having the time of my life the higher I climbed. The Zillo had two ways of killing it, the Malastare Toxin synthesised from the fuel and the lesser known way of attacking it from the inside used by Kylo Ren, needless to say I had my options if things got out of hand.

I built up momentum as I climbed, spinning my Saber at such high speeds I almost cut myself, "Faster Dankel! Keep going!" I shouted at myself as I surrounded myself in fire to go even faster, I stopped at the base of the Beasts neck and threw all of that speed into a swing of my Saber. My blade slid across the scales which was progress as if I had struck it normally my Saber would have bounced off it, I followed through with the swing launching forward in a spin. I found myself in free fall as the Beast had moved out from under me mid-spin, I looked it in the eye as I opened my wingsuit and flew away from the fight landing back onto Anakin's fighter which carried me the rest of the way out of the sink hole. I collapsed against R2 as the adrenaline finally died down, engulfing myself in fire like that drained me more when I wasn't in a high state of emotion, I stood silently as everyone discussed the best course of action. "As I was climbing it I noticed it had gaps in its armour, that's why my fire had a greater effect, if we can send an electrical pulse through the Zillo's nervous system it'd appear as if we killed it keeping the Dugs happy." I interjected when the conversation drew to close to killing the Beast while it was still in the sink hole, I watched as the Tanks had their electrical outputs changed.

I was given a single job by Master Windu, limit the Beasts movement as much as possible. "I'm sorry Master but how do you expect me to do that, you have seen the size of that thing right?" He turned to me as Anakin and himself were entering their Tank, "I'm sure you'll think of something Dankel." I sighed because yeah I did have an idea, was I confident that it'd work? Absolutely not but I honestly when am I ever confident in my plans. I ran to the hangar where my fighter was waiting patiently, D4 was waiting less patiently, "How's the modification? Yes I know this a bad idea... No you can't sit this one out!" I noticed the looks the Dugs gave me while I was arguing with my Droid, climbing into the cockpit I couldn't help but chuckle nervously. "Run a quick diagnostic for me bud, I need to make sure it'll actually fire and detach so we don't get pulled in." As soon as I got the green light I took off towards the fight, I was flying closer to the ground then I comfortable with but considering my target was the Beast's legs. I ignored the terrified beeps from my copilot as I sped in to the fight, I rolled to the right as I launched the power harpoon at the Zillo's left leg and I let out a tiny sigh of relief that the fusion disk was able to connect to the scales. "This is where the fun begins!" I proceed to fly around the Beast's legs, wrapping them tightly enough to force it to lose balance and fall over.

"DETACH IT NOW!" I shouted as my Fighter began to be pulled down, as the cable detached the inertia slingshotted my Fighter. "This is fine!" I screamed as I struggled to gain control, I was about to eject when I saw the same distortion I'd seen on the Zillo but this time in the air in front of me in a path. I gritted my teeth as I followed the path I then saw the same distortion on the throttle so I sped up, I then saw it move down so I slowed down just enough to stay in the air and I gained full control of my Fighter. "Whoa... Ok... Ready for round two buddy?" D4 attempted to take control of the ship which was fair however I know for a fact I can fly better than he does, by the time we returned the Zillo Beast was unconscious. When I hopped out of my Fighter Anakin ran over and began to hit me with question after question, "How did you pull off that drift! I wouldn't even have attempted that!" I smiled half-heartedly as I walked over to the Zillo, I placed my hand on the beast's scales and bowed my head. I felt the eyes of the two Jedi on me but I didn't care, I had to apologies for what the Beast is about to go through because I'm a part of it now.

I tried to reach out to the two Force Ghosts who used to plague almost every hour of my life in this Galaxy however they'd been extremely quiet since Geonosis, my theory was that when the Empires Wrath forced his way into my body to save my life from the crash he damaged our link to one another. I walked around the ship aimlessly once all my duties had been fulfilled, I wanted to fix my Sonic Screwdriver but all my tools where back in my room at the Temple so that was a no go. I found myself standing on a walkway above the Zillo Beast, I noticed the Clones guarding the creature looking at me but I ignored them. Could I really use the Beast to kill Palpatine? The Beast would be killed either way so surely using it to save the Galaxy would be a good thing surely? 'Your power makes you a threat' The voice hit me like a truck, I covered my left eye as I fell to my knees, 'I silenced those two so we may talk child, do you know who I am?' It felt like my very being was being reduced to atoms as this being spoke directly into my thought processes, I was on the verge of throwing up when I realised who was talking to me.

"W... What name are you going by? Tenebrae, Vitiate or Valkorian?" I asked into the void as my hand rested on my Saber for what little comfort it gave me, then he laughed. His laugh sent chills so far down my back I felt like I had just been chucked onto Hoth in my birthday suit, I gripped my Saber so tightly I thought the Beskar might dent. 'My name is of little concern to you boy, if it wasn't for them I would vapourise you however all pieces must be on the board before the game can begin' Who is strong enough to stop this monster... I stand back up and remove my hand from my left eye, sure enough standing before me is a shade. "Well if it's a game you want might I suggest I spy?" My body moves on its own as the walkway begins to crumble from the Shades pressure, I guess he didn't appreciate the joke. Thankfully there was nobody under the walkway as it crashed down, my attention darts back to where the Shade was however it had completely vanished leaving only a faint mist in its place. "The Final Boss~" I mumble to myself as I stumble away from the ledge before collapsing.

I woke up to explosions, a fact I was growing all too comfortable with when on the frontlines however the difference was I was in my room at the Jedi Temple. "The Beast has escaped, are you going to sleep through the whole event?" I heard the familiar voice of the Empire's Wrath and let out a relieved sigh, using the Force I pulled Saber and a spare Sonic prototype to me before running towards the Jedi Temples hangar. I adjusted my Commlink and called in a favour, "Yeah Echo just meet me there!" One of the Temple engineers tried to stop me taking a speeder but with the promise that I'll answer to Master Windu later he let me go, I got halfway towards the Senate Building before I parked the Speeder on a roof. Whoever had brought me to my room in the temple had thankfully left me in my Wingsuit, the thing is a nightmare to take off, with a running jump I glide a ways further into the path of Gunship which has Domino Squad inside of it. "Thanks for the lift guys!" They pass me two Ascension Cables which I attach to my belt, we land next to Masters Windu and Kenobi who are suprised to see me. I spot something which immediately brings my heart up into my throat, standing next to Chancellor Palpatine is Senator Amidala which means I can't have the Zillo kill Palpatine without risking Padme's life.

"I'm going!" Despite the objections from the two Council members behind me I start running, fire engulfs me as I launch towards them my Wingsuit allowing me to basically fly towards the Beast. I retract the wings and pool the flames surrounding me into a giant concussive blast aimed away from Masters Yoda and Secura, the flames cause the Beast to flinch as they crawl through the gaps in its armour. This forces the creature to stumble back narrowly missing the group at the Beasts feet to begin running away, I create a barrier under my feet and jump up onto the Beasts back where Master Yoda greets me. "I recommend you two evacuate Masters!" I shout as I begin to heat up again, "Things are about to get a bit hotter here!" The two Masters follow my advice and join the Senators running from the Beast, I increase the amount of flames surrounding my body and run up the Beasts neck, once I hit the point I start to glow from the heat I direct them like a thruster. I scream out slightly as I'm crushed under the pressure I've created however my plan works as I feel the Zillo Beast begin to crumble as I create enough force to change its center of mass knocking it off balance. When the Beast crashes to the floor I feel all my flames die out and let out a slight chuckle, my vision blurs slightly as I fall to my knees gasping.

That's when the Beast starts crawling, fast, I look forward as it attempts to EAT Palpatine alongside everyone next to him. "If I survive this I want a fucking break!" I shout as I force myself to run, I pull an Ascension Cable off my belt and jump off the Beast. The beast screams as the Cable pierces the fist sized hole in its armour however it keeps pushing forward, I swing around using a small explosion to keep momentum. Just as the Beast is about to close its mouth around everyone I swing around and use all my strength to push everyone out of the way with the Force, the next moment everything goes dark as the Beast closes its mouth with me inside. The Ascension Cable goes taut as I dangle roughly halfway down the Beasts throat, I lift up my Commlink. "Master I appear to be in a bit of trouble!"

"Despite the fact you ignored both Mine and Master Windu's objections to you running in you mean? Where even are you, we lost sight of you." I chuckle and tell him my situation, I can hear the panic enter his voice. "Can you climb out?" I try but my left arm was completely numb from the sudden movement after depriving myself of Oxygen, that's when Master Windu comes on the Comms. "Dankel... The creature is still rampaging... Can you kill it?" My eyes widen as I process the words spoken to me, "Yes..." I answer as I grabbed the Saber off my belt, I ignite it straight into the flesh wall of the Zillo Beasts throat. I grit my teeth as I continue to stab and cut until I feel the Beast collapse, "Keep going!" I cut my way out until my Saber carves a pathway up to freedom, I sit on top of the Corpse gasping for as much air as possible regardless of the smell. The weakness of a Zillo Beasts armour is that the underside of it can be cut by Lightsabers, I cut myself off a piece to study before anyone can reach me. I look up to see a camera droid flying towards me, I have considered going back inside the Zillo but Anakin was already here with Master Secura to help me out.

I fake a loss in power once I am fully recovered, my pyrokinesis is a terrifying weapon and the whole galaxy saw it. While training with Master Plo I make it seem like my Pyrokinesis has been weakened by my most recent feat of power, Barris now trains with Master Plo to harness her new abilities alongside me. We were training when Ahsoka barges in holding a holo report, when I take it I see my picture on the cover with the headline 'Behold the Pheonix of the Republic!'. I sigh as I hand it back to her and return to training a weaker flame, I even go as far as letting Barris' flames overwhelm mine a few times. We were about to go again when Master Windu arrived asking for me, I go willingly with him until we are in a secluded training room lower in the temple then I've ever ventured. "I want you to meditate here Dankel, what I asked of you was unfair and you have a right to let those emotions go." So I meditated, I ran the events of the Clone War through my mind with zero hesitation. When my eyes opened Windu was gone, I wandered my way back through the halls of the temple ignoring the looks from everyone. I know what comes next, I always do.
