Chapter 7: Jedi Temple

"More or less. It really felt real, Master Plo. I saw death. I saw the dark side. It was clashing against the Jedi. I do not know if they are a Sith Lord, but this figure killed one of the Jedi Masters. I could see the hatred in their eyes.", Kohsaka said, recalling what he had seen. Hearing that caused Master Plo to frown.

"A Master Jedi perishing in battle? I fear we cannot tread on this lightly. Premonitions can often tempt practitioners of The Force to yield into their desires. What you have seen may not come to pass, but if it does warrant your doubt, it would be best to report this vision of yours to the Jedi High Council. Who was it that perished by this so-called Sith?", Master Plo asked seriously.

"A Jedi Knight named Qui-Gon Jinn. I do not know who this person is.", Kohsaka answered with a white lie. He knew well who he was. He knew the entire vision he saw. But Kohsaka decided on what to say and what not to say. He didn't know how much would change by telling Master Qui-Gon's fate alone to Master Plo.

"It is natural you do not know him. Master Qui-Gon is a Jedi Master, much like myself. He also shares a seat on the council, much like I do. The Sith had been hiding for years. Master Dooku has repeatedly warned the council of an encroaching darkness, is his claim really true then?", Master Plo began to utter, letting his voice grow softer after answering Kohsaka.

As if reacting to Master Plo, one of his arms started to beep. A high-tech device could be seen on it. Master Plo's train of thought was interrupted and his gaze was immediately drawn to his arm. Twisting it upward, he tapped a few times on it. A hologram soon appeared, causing Kohsaka to raise his eyes. Ahsoka tilted her head. She could see a little green yet aged figure appear on it. He didn't seem to be taller than two or three feet.

"Grandmaster Yoda.", Master Plo said politely, welcoming the figure in the hologram.

"Mmm. A disturbance in the force, I have felt. To the Jedi Temple, you must come. Master Plo. Post haste.", Grandmaster Yoda said, urging Master Plo to head straight to the Senate Building.

"So I wasn't the only one who felt that disturbance...", Master Plo said, raising his eyes at Grandmaster Yoda.

"You too, have felt it, hmm?", Grandmaster Yoda responded. Even though it wasn't in person, this was the first time Koksaka saw Yoda in the flesh, not literally. One of the most iconic characters of the Starwars-verse.

It took a moment, but Grandmaster Yoda turned around on the hologram, shifting his position. He was quick to take notice that Master Plo was still in a private room, but he wasn't alone. Grandmaster Yoda was quick to spot the two Togrutas.

"The two younglings you have reported, these must be. Hmm?", Grandmaster Yoda asked. He always had a unique way of saying his sentences. That was one of his main charms that differed him from other characters.

But to Kohsaka's surprise, Grandmaster Yoda's image on the hologram began to stretch, and he walked forward. Despite being on the hologram, Grandmaster Yoda took some steps closer, approaching them.

"That would be correct, Grandmaster Yoda. These are the Tano siblings. We were set to have a concession to discuss whether they were fit to join the Jedi Temple. I fear we may be late.", Master Plo said, explaining the situation to Grandmaster Yoda.

"A great disturbance in this young one's heart, I sense. What befell you, I wonder?", Grandmaster Yoda asked with a serious look in his eyes. Even if it was just through the hologram, he looked right at Kohsaka.

"You must be Grandmaster Yoda. Master Plo has briefly mentioned you to me. I saw death. Grandmaster Yoda. I do apologize if my current appearance is unkempt.", Kohsaka said, feeling a bit guilty seeing such a figure of the Jedi High Council see this current state of both him and Ahsoka.

"Grandmaster Yoda?", Ahsoka asked with growing interest.

"Your appearance, I care not. The feeling in your heart, do not falter, young one. It is good you have brought them, Master Plo. This disturbance, they are linked, I fear.", Grandmaster Yoda replied with a frown.

"Is it enough to round up the High Council?", Master Plo asked.

"No. Suspicion, it will raise. The threat, we do not know. Further investigation, It will require. The concession, we will still have. Youngling, a guest awaits you. A desire to meet, they have.", Grandmaster Yoda explained. Even if it was through his unique way of saying things, Kohsaka was still able to understand the gist of it.

Grandmaster Yoda didn't want to reveal this vision to the others. At least, not for now. It would cause unnecessary turmoil in a delicate time. It would kick off when the Trade Federation invades Planet Naboo in the coming year. As Grandmaster Yoda put it, it made sense they would want to investigate it.

The hologram ended, and Grandmaster Yoda's figure vanished, leaving the three behind.

Kohsaka wondered who it was that wanted to meet them.

"It was enlightening to meet Grandmaster Yoda. Thank you, Master Plo.", Kohsaka said with a smile.

"Was that person really the head of the Jedi?", Ahsoka asked.

"Grandmaster Yoda indeed does sit at the top of the Jedi High Council. It sounds like there is a guest who wants to meet you as well. It looks like Grandmaster Yoda will investigate this vision of yours, so for now, we should put it aside. Go get cleaned up. We will head to the Senate Building.", Master Plo said, urging the two.

"Got it.", Kohsaka said, nodding his head. Master Plo left the two to their own devices, retreating from the room to get cleaned up.

Seeing the two alone again, Ahsoka looked at her brother with worry.

"Are you really alright now, Brother Kohsaka?", Ahsoka asked. Kohsaka rubbed her head again, making sure he was safe now.

"Yeah. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Grandmaster Yoda was quick to sense the uneasiness in my heart. The Force is a powerful force, Ahsoka. You can do unimaginable things with The Force, but it could also turn on you. In a way, it's almost like raising a child.", Kohsaka answered.

"The Force really is mysterious, isn't it? Are you sure we should be heading to this Senate Building?", Ahsoka asked in worry again.

"We must, for now. If we stayed back on our homeworld, eventually, trouble would come seeking our way. It is best to be proactive, and we can further strengthen our foundations by doing this.", Kohsaka explained. Happiness appeared in Ahsoka's eyes as she enjoyed the feeling of her brother's hand over her head.

"We really can't go back home, can we?", Ahsoka replied, feeling downcast after hearing her brother say that.

With both Kohsaka and Ahsoka sharing mixed feelings on the present matter, some time uneventfully passed. The three were originally set to head to the Senate, but it would seem the location changed directly to the Jedi Temple. Both buildings were relatively close and easy to spot when looking at the planet from afar. The Senate Building was an insanely large spherical dome-shaped building. The main reason for that was because of the large debat room that could house hundreds and hundreds of senators that would debate over current affairs of the Republic, and pass bills when needed.

The Jedi Temple, on the other hand, served as the primary location for the Jedi. It was essentially their home. It was where their archives over the past millennia and beyond were stored, keeping the Jedi's knowledge away of what they did with The Force, their history, and their techniques. This wasn't the only Jedi Temple out there. Many others existed that contained unknown and forbidden knowledge of how The Force worked, lost through countless years.

One could even be lucky and chance upon a holocron, a device capable of storing away massive amounts of information that only a unique signature a Jedi or a Sith could utilize, depending on what the holocron was.

In Rebels, Ezra even had the balls to work with Maul to fuse two holocrons together, which would point them to an entire new galaxy that was ripe for exploration.

But what the Jedi Temple's main purpose was on Coruscant was to maintain the Jedi of the Republic, whether through good or bad. It also trained the most younglings, padawans, and jedi knights to date.

And presently, inside the largest of the five towers, a rather obscure room could be seen. Inside this room hosted twelve seats, all seemingly occupied by a profound individual. Even Master Plo Koon had taken a seat here.

This was the Jedi High Council.

It would seem every single member of the High Council wanted to meet the two Togrutas that Master Plo Koon brought. Coincidentally, each one had a free schedule. There were no active tasks going on to keep one occupied. Kohsaka was sure he would see Master Dooku of these twelve members of the High Council, but unfortunately, he had not taken a seat. He was in a similar position to Master Shaak-ti, but opted not to go for a seat due to his profound views on the Jedi.

The Jedi High Council is composed of twelve members. That was why there were twelve seats.

Master Plo Koon sat on the farthest left. Master Mace Windu sat next to him, to his right. Grandmaster Yoda was next to the right of Master Windu, comprising three of the twelve members.

To the further right of Grandmaster Yoda was Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, who came from the Cerean race. Next to him was Master Saesee Tiin, who was part of the Iktotchi race. And to the right of Master Saesee was Master Yaddle. As Master Yaddle was still part of the Council, Master Shaak-ti has no claim to a seat yet.

And apart from those six, the remaining six were Master Sifo-Dyas, Master Even Piell, Master Oppo Rancisis, Master Adi Gallia, Master Depa Billaba, and Master Eeth Koth, all hailing from their own race. Surprisingly, there were two humans of the twelve members present. A race Kohsaka used to call him his own, but after having gone through a second transition of life, he was no longer human, but a Togruta. (A/N: Correct me if I have any of the seats wrong, still new to it. This is before Sifo-Dyas goes to Kamino)

When Master Plo Koon originally brought the Tano siblings to this room, Ahsoka was very nervous, as she felt the intense stares of twelve Master Jedi staring down at her the moment the three walked into the room. In no time at all did the concession start.

Feeling the intensity of these stares, Ahsoka tried to hide behind Kohsaka, but Kohsaka stood his ground. His emotions did not falter, despite feeling this pressure that Ahsoka was feeling. It wasn't just two children standing in front of a room full of adults. No, there were powerful Jedi Masters present in this room.

Seeing Kohsaka taking such a firm stance, he urged Ahsoka to follow suit. He urged her to not take fear of such things, much like how their mother had taught the two back on Planet Shili.

"Impressive. I can see why you wanted to bring these two younglings here, Master Plo. It isn't often we get to see good potential.", Master Windu said, beginning the discussion.

"It is an honor to be here. Thank you for allowing your time to hold a discussion with us today. I hope we won't disappoint you.", Kohsaka replied in a polite tone, not wanting to upset any of these Masters present in the room.
