Horns of A Malibu

As daybreak came, the Lots Survivors began the expansion of their base. Overlord and Bubba oversaw everything. Walls had been raised and a second story had been added. A few scouts had returned with a few more Lots people including Jarrin and Josh.

The smaller cave had been converted into strictly storage, and the multitude of cars had been given their own designated spots. Logan was in charge of the Car and Truck Park. The Ghost had been tasked with chopping down trees closer to the front of the State Park. His team had been hauling trees in since dawn broke the night skies.

A few others had been out gathering more food and supplies from Utica while the main group improved their living situation. They had even brought back a Grand Bear Lodge Trolley as another means of transportation.

"What's your thoughts on all this Overlord?" asked Bubba

"I'm pleased to all of us working to build a better home for ourselves, but I'm thinking we might need to strike a decisive blow to the occupiers of Ottawa."

"How we gonna do that?"

"Gather the other key figures. We'll go from there."

As the Key Counsel assembled, Overlord Pat laid with his arms crossed as everyone filled into the meeting room.

"What's this about Overlord?" inquired Bash

"I believe once renovations to our base are complete, we need to strike back, deal the invaders a decisive blow, force them to either retreat or call in back up."

"Overlord...That's absolutely crazy. The military owns Ottawa, they have tanks and armored vehicles. We barely have enough guns to hold this place down. How can we fight them?" asked Bubba

"We build bombs, we use something as a fortified attack base or something we can use to hold for a while. I have one special weapon in storage that I can retrieve, it'll help hold any position we choose to take." stated Ghost

"If we choose to hold any place, we need to make sure that we do something about those tanks."

"We build dirty bombs, and landmines. We make sure they can't use them. We will retake our home, but once we force them out, we retreat back here. We can't have them killing us."

"Agreed, but where?" asked Jarrin

"Lasalle County Courthouse. It's the most defendable place that can survive most attacks." chimed in the Ghost

"Perfect, have those who aren't working on the renovations, begin working on the bombs and landmines." stated Overlord

The group took their first steps toward an all-out war against the military.

Later as nightfall descended, the group had their first party since the military took over. It had been a few months, but everyone remembered how to party. Joints, twisted teas, music and more make their way back onto the scene for what felt like an eternity.

Overlord Pat walked around mingling with his people. The song "I Want You" by Daegho played as the base was back to partying as usual. Looking around, the Overlord saw the fire of hope still lit in the hearts of his people. Clearly his speech earlier had brought them closer together more than he'd expected. He took a sip of the drink he'd grabbed from the cooler as he made his way deeper into the crowd.

"Finally, we can all let loose and have a little peace and quiet." he thought to himself as he stared at the RGB car lights losing himself in the burst of colors.
