Autumns Adorned Revenge

Time had passed as the group had begun preparations for war and for winter. The leaves had all but changed to orange headed toward brown as the time finally came to strike.

Ghost had retrieved his great-great uncle's WWII browning .50 caliber machine gun. In addition to that, everyone had passed weapons training provided by the Busch Hunter and had passed the Ghost's "How to kick military ass 101" course.

Logan and a few other car guys had armored up the vehicles they'd be using for their standoff.

"Listen up everyone! As soon as nightfall hits, we make our move. Thanks to Logan and his vehicle crew, we not only have armored vehicles from metal we were able to scavenge, but we now have deployable barricades that we can use to help us hold the courthouse. Now, face paint on, suit up and wheels out in 20 minutes!"

As the base got ready, the Key Counsel convened one last time.

"Well, everyone, we're finally ready for our big assault." started the Overlord

"Agreed, but remember, once we get the National Guard forces out of Ottawa, we pull back here. They'll probably call in for support and we need to be gone by then." said the Ghost

"Conserve ammunition, only the .50 machine gun should be the one letting fully lose. At this time, our away team has planted the bombs all over the National Guard's vehicles and placed landmines all over the area. Only we know where they are, and they left a single opening to funnel them into." added the Busch Hunter.

"Good, let's do this!" yelled the Overlord as they made their way to their vehicles.

The convoy left their base and headed to Ottawa. Once there, they made their way to the courthouse, stashing their vehicles in a nearby alleyway. The Lots crew set up everything they'd brought, placing the Ghost of Ottawa at the front doors of the building behind a barricade made specially for the machine gun and its wielder. Ziplines had been setup as well for their escape.

"Is everyone ready?" asked the Overlord

Everyone nodded and with that, explosions from the National Guard base at high school, echoed all over town. On the roof, of another building Jarrin set up his camera and phone to capture the footage of the standoff and fired a flare into the sky above the courthouse.

Within minutes more and more explosions followed as tanks tried to move and were overturn by the blast of landmines. National Guard soldiers made their way over to the flare and began attempting to encircle the courthouse only to find out that it too had been mined.

"Sir, one of the men has found a way inside. Front entrance, unguard."

"Move up, take this building."

Inside the soldier who'd told them it was safe had be held at gunpoint and at machine gun point and order to say what he said. As soon as the soldiers infiltrated the dark building, the Overlord put on "Megalovania Phonk" over the PA system and the Ghost began to open fire the .50 cal. It was a massacre, the soldier had zero cover and once the doors had closed behind them, the maglocks had sealed them inside this boss level courthouse of horror.

"YAAAAAAAA! GET OWNED! yelled the Lots crew as the opened their doors and fired into the pinned down soldiers' group.

More and more soldiers tried to enter but they were either blown up or killed by the Ghost.

Two days has passed, and the fighting hadn't let up. The Lots crew had managed to hold that courthouse and thanks to a helpful tip that the national guard didn't get deployed with grenades, made this fight all but unfair. The entire group hadn't slept a wink, neither had the soldiers. Both sides determined to win this fight, no matter the cost.

Eventually the main force of the National Guard showed up. Their commander ordered them to storm the doors as all the gunfire had ceased, and once again, the doors opened, the soldiers stormed inside, the doors locked, the music started, and the .50 cal opened fire. The commander was pulled into a side room, disarmed by the Busch Hunter, and tied up. Hours went by and wave after wave passed by all to the same result, enter, the doors lock, the music starts and finally getting mowed down by the Ghost.

Day 3 of the fight finally ended and the commander agreed to pull out of Ottawa. They tossed him out of the building and sealed the doors. Jarrin radioed once he and a few scouts positioned around town, saw them leave town. The Lots crew immediately packed up and booked it for their vehicles. Once everyone was out, they hauled ass back to their base.

A celebration was in order for their victory.
