Helpless Mother's Hope

"I have decided to join you just like I told you. I can't go back on my words"

Putting his fist on his chest Thomas shouted, "I'm a man of my words and will become your underling"

Thomas was proud of the words he just said, he was a young lad who remained with his words to Leon as per said for saving his mother.

"Underling?" Leon said in confusion.

"Yes, I wish to become your disciple from now on accept me young brother"

"Disciple, ah" Leon said, examining the physical state of the boy. "I refused," he shouted, rejecting the boy who was already prepared for such a response, Thomas said.

"Then I refuse to go with you" Thomas thought that by refusing him. Leon might think of accepting him but he was dumbfounded by his method.

"Rejecting or accepting no longer depends on you, there are many witnesses here who already heard your acceptance of following me."

"If you were to reject me now, doesn't that means you're not a man of your words Thomas"

With no choice and trapped in Leon's cage, Thomas had to admit his mistake and declared "alright it's my loss but do remember that you will have to teach me that move you did when defeating that dragon" Thomas said pointing his finger at Leon.

From the back a powerful slap came slamming on the back of his head. "Ungrateful child, didn't I tell you not to be rude with the person who saved you." It was Thomas' mother Lila who slammed her hand on Thomas' back of the head.

In pain Thomas places his hand back on his head. "Ow, ow! That hurts mother".

Seeing his mother Thomas proud of inside vanished like dust, fear broke out in the form of expression.

Keeping the expression of a smiley face hiding the fear he said. "mother, what brings you here" he nervously laughed "ha, ha, ha"

Scolding the boy for his rudeness, first Lila apologies to Leon, "my sincere apologies for my son, he sometime is rude in manners but he's a kind child" furthermore she thanks Leon for what he had done, "allow me to thank you for saving me and my son and giving me another chance to live it's something I can never forget"

With a beam face Leon glanced at Lila and told, "you don't have to do that. It's all fine"

Leon said in his mind.

Lila, her magic potential is massive compared to anyone here, if it were to awaken in its complete state I'm positive it will equal Kathel magic.

Seeing Lila's face he remembered the previous first encounter.

How Leon killed her without showing a piece of mercy.

After he killed her. Her memories fall into his mind, every piece was in and completely detailed.

Lila roaming in the forest for no particular reason rather than in pain for her loss. She had a son who she lost because of an unknown disease.

It was the pain because of that her mind was not working properly making her wonder in a forest with sorts of danger lurking anywhere.

While walking in the sadness a cry she heard of something. It wasn't an animal or a bird, but a human child's cry. In search of where the cry was coming from she followed where this cry was leading her to.

Reaching closer causes the sound to get louder and louder. Upon closer check Lila found a child in a basket on the ground covered with several bushes.

"A human? What's a human doing in a forest?" not knowing who would have done such a cruel thing leaving a defenceless child all by himself in a forest.

It was Thomas, who was crying because of hunger.

Picking up the child, Lila felt as if she was holding on to her own child, such feeling made the tears fall like a cry of reunion from her eyes.

Taking back the child, Lila shows Thomas to her husband who gladly accepts him as his family since seeing her wife with change from the disheartened to a new living.

Her husband unfortunately died when Thomas was 6 years old, he went on to hunt but encountered a demon who killed him. Leaving behind Lila and Thomas.

When Thomas grew up and was 12 years old, his environment was not filled with orcs only but there were humans in the village with different races. Not feeling like a human would if he were to be different from the kind he was being taken care of.

4 years later, a disease struck them because of the white dragon. There was no hero to save them. Instead, this disease impacted Thomas; mostly he became sick and death was near next to them.

Not wishing to lose her only family, she tried her best to go to those who she thought might help her out but in vain it was.

At last, her decision of leaving the village was the conclusion not an option she would throw away.

For 6 months she wondered several places to find a cure for her son, although in the process of doing this caused her to become sick and weak. Her health was declining every day, not eating fully or sleeping.

She had to face all sorts of problems due to her being an orc, she wasn't a normal living being in humans or any other races eyes but a monster.

Not desiring to give up, she came back to her own village at the entrance. Her eyes were filled with horror in front of her, the village was burning covered up with large sums of fire.

Screams of burning people were filled up in her ears, she wanted to run with her child but to where her strength was already giving up on her.

That's when a person came out of the fire holding on to a sword covered up with blood.

"Who are you?" She asked but no answer came.

Leon, looking at Lila prepared to kill her, was waiting for her return knowingly that she had the child (Thomas) with black energy.

Trying to turn around and make a run, but tripped and fell on the ground. Unable to stand her weak arms were of no help to her.

Thomas fell along Lila who she was carrying and remained unconscious.

What remained was for Leon to kill her.
