Synopsis

Leon lived an ordinary life like common folks in the modern world. Naive and normal he was, until he was sent to a different timeline, where he replaced Leon of that timeline. Not a modern world, but an ancient time for sure. The world was arcane for the boy, a world divided by classes of holy and commoners. Unfortunately, he wasn't a boy with a golden spoon in his mouth but rather a commoner like others. People in the holy class had the power akin to magic, but those in the lower class weren't that special. Like every story, Leon power aroused from slumber; an ordinary had awakened a power akin to what we call 'SSS LLevel.' When the authorities of Holy Palace found out, they enlisted him in their list of 'Hero'. Leon never cared. What he pondered all the time was to enjoy even this life. He wasn't transmigrated nor reincarenated. He ruminated about his purpose: 'why was he sent here?' at first, nothing surged in mind until his Heroic journey concluded; he had realized the purpose.

Chapter 1A Silent Regret

"You died… without seeing the world of kindness." Said Leon, the blade of his sword stabbed in the chest of a demon. His eyes were all dull and hollow.

He had killed a demon king, but no blissfulness could be felt. To him, it was a hollow victory with no meaning. "Where did it go wrong?"

He glanced at his surroundings; corpses of demons and humans strewed on the ground. His comrades' bodies were there too, soaking the ground with their blood.

"It took only one lie to kill millions, ha ha."

His laugh was weak and sorrowful. He reverted his eyes back to the demon king. Leon squatted down and stretched his arm; his finger closed the open eyes of the lifeless demon king.

"We blame God for doing this and that, but never ever seen our own faults and greed."

Like a collar of a dog, something akin to it was glimmering around his neck. Leon said, "Even the strongest become slaves to a world of lies."

Leon squeezed his eyes closed; regret welled up in his mind. Perhaps, realization had struck him hard. Even if he was an SSS ranker, then there would always be more powerful and clever evil than him.

His emotions were mingling within him; his heart was pounding speedily like any second it would explode.

He clutched the collar tightly, knowing he couldn't remove it no matter what he do. His journey to kill the source of evil had concluded; the demon king was dead. But was the demon king really a source of evil?

He knew everyone has the will to become what they want. A choice they could freely make. Still, why would someone become evil when knowing would meet their demise?

"I guess, the devil played me well. Even a demon king can't escape him."

Sometimes, the source of evil comes from a world of good, as long as it's not perfect, that is.

"How have you been, Leon Ackerman?" A voice inquired. When Leon looked at him, he saw a tall man strolling towards him. The man wore a bowler on his head and had a gentlemanly vibe coming from him.

"Dimension of dreams and imagination…"

From the man's arrival, the gloomy sky about by clouds had cleared, and the sun bathed the world with it's light. When a ray of light fell on Leon's armour it shone majestically, but no light could ever make his expression nor the eyes afire in happiness.

"Don't call me that, the clever world has spiked your measly heart, hasn't it?"

His voice was soft and sweet, only to turn cold and harsh.

"Only if you had heeded to me, none of it had happened, Leon."

As the man tread forth with his steps, the world was distorting under his feet. He was no ordinary but a being that was hard to fathom.

When he stood before Leon, his height was like an endless world standing. He brought his lips closer to Leon and whispered.

"I have told you before, your SSS level means nothing against the cruelty of imperfection beings that are greedy and foolish."

"But you are no different then them,"

"Indeed, I'm also imperfect, but at least I'm above your race. Sadly, not so favorite."

The man placed his hand in pocket only to pull out a cube. It was a strange cube; it had an inexplicable structure, but cube was the closest resemblance.

"You may not know this, but this object, in your human words, is called 'a Story Maker. It will help you to create a new timeline with no past but a present heading towards its future."

Leon looked at the cube and back to the man. "You, beings of dreams and imaginations, think. I will be a fool to kneel to you?"

"You lost 'him', you lost 'her', you lost 'them'." His voice turned sharp. "What's left, Leon? Don't you want to see them again?"

Leon couldn't utter anything in response; nothing could help him retort back. All this time, the man before him knew things and warned him about them; Leon, who came to this ancient time, didn't care.

He wanted peace in life, which he got.

The man stretched his arm and said, "Take this; it's a chance to save them, maybe not in this world but in a different world."

The desperate Leon did what anyone would, he told the cube.

When he grasped the cube, it gleamed with light that spread throughout the place. Leon frowned at the man, but the entity of dreams and imagination smirked and opened his mouth.

"We shall meet again, with good dreams and imaginations."

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.
