"SON, I'M in love."
The Goblin turned to the Mountain Spirit who announced that she was in love.
[Again.]
The Goblin didn't know how many times the Mountain Spirit had fallen in love. They had lived together as mother and son for at least a century now. Hence, he had lost count of how many times his mother had fallen in love.
"Is it a human again?" the Goblin asked while lying on his deathbed. He could tell that his life was about to end. Hence, he wanted to spend the remaining time he had with his mother. "You always fall for a human, Mother."
"What can I do?" the Mountain Spirit asked back. "Humans are the most lovable creatures in the world."
He couldn't deny that since he was also fascinated by humans.
However, almost every human that he had met either fainted or ran away from him. There were a few people who befriended him, though. Even so, humans had short life span. Hence, all his friends in the past had died a long time ago.
