Chapter 15: First Spirit Ring

Tang Jiyao felt sympathy as this is the first time he witness a creature who is about to die. Tang Jiyao knows that all living will essentially succumb and be one with death, but he didn't expect to see this kind of violent death in his first day of traveling.

Tang Jiyao neared the Holy Gold Snake and sat down, with him wanting to express his sympathy. Tang Jiyao just did what he knows the best way to convey his emotions.

He plays his Martial Spirit.

Tang Jiyao plays his Martial Spirit in hopes to lighten the Holy Gold Snake's feelings.

Tang Jiyao music's appears to bring a heavy atmosphere. The atmosphere gives the feeling of melancholy and farewell.

This seems to give the Holy Gold Snake some energy as it crawled towards Tang Jiyao.

Tang Jiyao seeing this stopped and goes closer to the snake and played again.

The Holy Gold Snake climb from his legs to his arms then climb up to his head. The Holy Gold Snake then lay with its body in circle in Tang Jiyao's head.

Tang Jiyao just continue to play his music.

Tang Hao, at first is on guard as he observe his son neared the snake. Tang Hao then watched as his son played a song to the snake bringing a sad atmosphere.

Tang Hao is pretty shock to see when the snake laid at his sons head, clearly no ill intentions.

Tang Hao just signed at this, then thought.

'Hahh, Ah Yin, it seems like our son is pretty unique.'

Two hours gone by, when the snake finally died. With it came a Yellow Ring.

The Yellow Ring seemingly concious flew towards the Guqin, then merge with it.

Tang Hao is pretty shocked to see this. As it need for a Spirit Master to kill the Spirit Beast on its own to absorb its Spirit Ring.

Tang Jiyao just meditated when his Martial Spirit absorbed the ring.

Another two hours goneby when Tang Jiyao finally woke up from his meditative state.

"Dad..." Tang Jiyao said sadly, while carefully lifting the snake's corpse out of his head.

"Hmmm.." Tang Hao just hmmed, expressing that he knows.

The two Tangs then bury the snake's body.

"It seems you have broken through." Tang Hao said, still confused at the unique situation earlier.

"Uhumm..." Tang Jiyao said nodding, still sad about the snake's passing.

"It's alright, all of us will eventually die, but it is upto us how." Tang Hao consuled. "So be strong so that you can prevent your love ones from suffering from the same fate as that snake."

"Now, summon your Martial Spirit." Tang Hao said.

Tang Jiyao just followed his father word's. When Tang Jiyao summoned his Spirit he felt a new kind of ability that the Guqin contain.

As his Martial Spirit, Clear Sky Elemental Guqin, appears, it appears with it a yellow ring.

"That's a Spirit Ring, you can obtain it when you kill a Spirit Beast." Tang Hao said.

"I didn't kill anyone dad, did I?" Tang Jiyao said, confused.

"Just feel it, there will be an ability that will come from it." Tang Hao said.

"1st Tone: Light's Warm, 20% Boost in Regeneration and control of the light element." Tang Jiyao said, perceiving the information contain in the Spirit Ring.

"A Boost?" Tang Hao said.

"Why is it, father?" Tang Jiyao said, not hearing his father very well.

"It seems that you have a very complicated path, Yaoyao." Tang Hao said. "You can be an Auxilliary Spirit Master with your boosting ability, but you can also be an Attack Spirit Master with your control of elements."

"Ehh? Thats great!" Tang Jiyao said happily.

"You can decide what you want to be as we travel." Tang Hao said.

"Ehh? Why not both?" Tang Jiyao exclaimed.

Tang Hao is startled.

'Yeah, why not both?'

"It is indeed possible, but it will be very hard." Tang Hao warns.

"Hmmpp! I can manage!" Tang Jiyao declared proudly.

The two then continues to stay at the forest with Tang Jiyao practicing his control of elements.

Tang Jiyao then remembered the voice when he awaken his Martial Spirit.

'Understand the difference between the guqin and the different musical instruments and you shall be rewarded.'

'Hmm, difference? There is no difference between them. Its just the user's will that make a instrument unique.'

A booming explosion just sounded when Tang Jiyao thought of that.

'Uhhh, whats that sound?!'

Tang Jiyao then fainted.

When Tang Jiyao woke up, he realised that he's in their tent.

Tang Hao then, came in with a bowl of food.

"I discover you in the ground. You've fainted." Tang Hao explained. "What happened?"

"I don't know, there's just this huge explosion sound that just sounded in my brain." Tang Jiyao said while holding his head, checking if its hurt.

Tang Hao then hold his son's hand then checking it there is something wrong with him with his Spiritual Power.

Tang Hao, like the earlier time he checked saw nothing wrong with him.

When Tang Hao realised that Tang Jiyao fainted, he quickly brought him to their tent, then checked him.

It is when Tang Hao realised that there's nothing wrong with him.

Tang Hao then wait for Tang Jiyao to wake up, only to wait for two days.

"There's nothing wrong with you, here eat then rest." Tang Hao said while handling the bowl of food towards Tang Jiyao.

Tang Hao then left the tent.

Tang Jiyao, still confused tried to sense his brain only to find a book in his Spiritual Sea.

Tang Jiyao managed to reach his Spiritual Sea when he's just about three, he's cultivating the Purple Demon Eyes, when he got curious when the purple qi would go.

The Purple qi is a qi that can only be obtain at a specific time at dawn, it help in cultivating the Purple Demon Eye.

Tang Jiyao become curious and tried to follow where would the Purple qi would go, only to discover his Spiritual Sea.
