The last year had been the most absurd thing he experienced in his 23 years of life.

As a child, the brown-haired pirate was just an orphan, who stayed in the slums of an island in the west Blue.

Due to the constant struggles as an orphan, without money and protection.

He eventually entered the underworld, as he continued his life in a local gang. He eventually, started to rise through the ranks.

He soon enough became a high-ranked member of the gang at the young age of sixteen.

But during one of the dealings, a crime family decided to take over the area.

The gang was soon disbanded due to the suppression of the crime family.

The previous leader of the gang used his savings and decided to invest in pirating.

He was invited to join the crew along with the other gang members.

So, for the next three years, he worked as vice-captain following his previous gang leader as captain.

They looted and plundered at every opportunity they got.

Due to their dealings with local marines, they mostly went unnoticed in the seas.

As he was continuing his regular life, the world was soon caught in sensational news about, the execution of the pirate king and the greatest treasure of all time,

THE ONE-PIECE

His pirate crew, one of the many crew went to the grand line, in pursuit of the one piece.

But, as they dreamt of running and taking the taking one piece, life kicked them hard, as soon as his pirate crew entered the grand line they were faced off by another crew.

Almost all his crew along with his captain were killed by the pirates, he was given the choice to submit or die.

Once again he changed ships and worked under another pirate.

Eventually, this crew also fell and he ended up joining the Rhino pirates. Though his trouble didn't end there.

The grand line was hard and dangerous, there were unpredictable weather, large sea kings, and constant navy battle.

During his stay with the rhino pirates, he started to gain fame, he was certainly not the strongest in the crew, there was his captain with a bounty of 90 million. The guy named big lee also had a bounty of 53 million and was a gunslinger with a bounty of 25 million he was also given a bounty of 20 million along with the title "Brown Hermit Bolton"

Overall, he was having a decent life, though he didn't have anything he cherished. The only person he ever talked to was big lee, well mostly because he was dumb and pure. So, he was given his title based on his personality and looks.

While looting and massacring a village at the grand line and going to sell the captives, the crew got into a battle with another crew.

The opponent had two devil fruit users which allowed them to push the rhino pirates into the white fog of the Florian triangle.

Well after entering the fog and venturing for three days along the random ocean currents, they had lost their log post along with their navigator in the battle.

The mast was also broken off due to the exchange of cannon fire.

As they were deciding on what to do in that desperate situation, a brat started shouting about how his father was a warrant officer in the Marines.

Before long a scary skeleton with an afro landed on the ship.

After that, well; everyone one of the pirates except him was frozen or killed and has not been seen till now.

He only survived apparently because the skeleton wanted to learn the sword, but who knows what he wants?

Though, in the name of learning the sword, Brook, which is the name of the skeleton goes by apparently, kept fighting with him till he passed out.

If Bolton slacked off or didn't fight while giving it his all. The skeleton kept striking him until there were a few broken bones in his body. After experiencing the harsh beating he became more diligent in the fight.

After he came to this ship, Brook only tasked him with looking after the exercise of the kid. The exercise was crazy hard.

The first days were relatively easy for the kid, there were only a hundred pushups, squats, and running 20 laps in the ship.

The kid didn't cooperate at the beginning, so I had to, well; educate the kid a bit about the pain and struggles of life.

After getting his education the kid was reluctant and angry but continued his training obediently, which slowly increased in intensity.

Although it seemed as if the child was struggling at the beginning, he was still unaware of the true struggle.

After a week of training, it was already 5 times the intensity, than the beginning.

On the day of the new week, Brook came out and dragged the kid to a practice battle.

The kid was then thoroughly beaten up, though Brook didn't strike more than once, he struck almost every part of his body.

The kid had already been on the ground, incapacitated after a few strikes, despite that the Brook kept beating him until he was done.

The kid wailed and cried in agony screaming and begging, but with no hint of emotion in his face Brook kept going.

Eventually, the kid fainted, before he fainted Brook whispered going near him.

"Acreus, it was you who choose this"

Then Brook stood up and jumped into the sky, not before telling me to "take care of the child".

After a while, Brook came back with a sea king frozen in ice, he took a part of it inside the ship and brought back some roasted meat.

He was then instructed to go to the kitchen hall to get more meat when the kid woke up.

When the kid woke up there was a look of fear and anger in the boy's eyes.

Leaving him the food, he also went to train, remembering the beating, he felt compelled to do so.

After that, the child somehow managed to do his exercise without complaining.

Though after two weeks Bolton was the one destroyed, though it wasn't as bad as that of the kids.

Eventually, after a month, Brook again came out once again to have a so-called friendly battle with Acreus.

Though this time there was a deep anger in the eyes of Acreus.

Despite that, Acreus was once again knocked out, though he survived a few more hits than before.

This continued for a year and during this time Bolton and Acreus became somewhat close.

Because there was no one other to interact with it was inevitable also we had to take care of each other once a month.

They also sometimes spar, a normal spar, not like Brooks which is just a beating in the name of one.

All the battle was won by him because Acreus was still a child and he could somehow feel his attacks coming.

Though the rate of improvement in the child was surprising.

The same training continued for a year, but only for Bolton that is, Brook stopped bothering him after a year.

The child suffered the same fate for another three years.

And eventually, Brook stopped sparing with the child as well.

Brook mostly stayed holed up inside the lowest deck for around two years.

And, finally, after six years, Brook said the good news that it was time to get out of the Florian triangle
