Son of Sanguine: Corvinius

Sanguinius, Primarch of the Blood Angels and the most loved son of the God Emperor of Man. The only man, Primarch, and demigod who boasted majestic wings. As well as the only Primarch who could have lead the Imperium of Man into brighter days. What I loved so much about Sanguinius was that he was truly loved by all the Primarchs, at least in my opinion anyway. So why it shouldn't have been a big of a shock when I go to sleep then wake up to find myself in a body reminiscent of Sanguinius, and in a whole other world that doesn't even know who I am....yet.

Chapter X

"Let me go with you!"

Shouted an angry looking Vivian as she gazed up at the towering Primarch. He stood before her with a slight frown. It had been roughly a month since he had been on Naboo, and already many saw him more and more of an angel. Of course, he helped with the rebuilding efforts at Theed. Then left for another city, and another, even towns to villages.

Naboo saw him as an ally, as a shining winged knight who so happened to be a giant. Even so, there were some, primarily the inhabitants of Theed, who had become fanatical. Not only in the defense of Naboo, but to follow behind the rising legend. He could quite literally use this to his advantage, he knows this. What stops him is a small conscience. Because he was seeing a child who was fanatical and angry. Not at him, but at everyone else. He feared what that would turn her into, what she would become. It was for that reason that he had requested from Queen Amidala for a ship, and a protocol droid.

When word of his departure had spread, many immediately begged him to stay. Some saw as their queen making him leave, others saw it as him going to save other words that suffered like Naboo. Vivian however was both, and she wanted to join him. Corvinius knew that he couldn't let this little girl join him. Because what he planned to do was something akin to the Great Crusade... something glorious, something damning.

"I cannot let you come with me, it will be dangerous."

Corvinius chided and replied gently. Vivian however gave him a mean face, even a pouting expression. Despite the innocent little before him, he could see it. The fire, the spark, the anger, the burning rage brimming and ready to he unleashed. In another world, she would make a perfect Sister.

"But why?!"

She demanded.

"Your mother-"

"My mommy is hurt! She doesn't want me going anywhere! She thinks I'm going to end up like my big brother!"

"Vivian-"

"I don't want you to go, you're like my daddy! He was strong and kind.. just like my big brother..."

Corvinius stood there silently as he watched tears begin to well up in her eyes. She had imprinted on him, and he didn't know if he should feel as if his heart should be warmed or shattering. This was a child that was willing to do whatever he said, and he didn't want to be the one to make her do anything. He was going to make himself into a very real Primarch, yes, that goal was still in play. But to see a child be this devoted.. it scared him to see what it would like if she were lying dead at his feet.

With a small breath escaping him, he slowly got down onto one knee. Then placed an armored hand onto her shoulder. Vivian sniffled as she looked up at Corvinius' towering frame, watching as his frown slowly turned into one of warmth and reassurance. With his other armored hand, he used the back of a finger to wipe away any tears that slid down her small cheeks.

"Vivian, what I do and where I will go will take me far from here."

He began, his voice warm and kind.

"Those whom I will encounter will either be harsh or kind. I will do many things that would prove to give you nightmares.. you are not ready for what is to come."

"T-then..."

She paused to catch compose herself as she sniffles.

"Then.. when will I be?"

"Only you will know that, i cannot tell you that."

"... will you come back?"

"To see you little face once more? Of course.."

At those words, Vivian rushed over and embraced Corvinius as best she could. The rising Primarch stared down at her, frowning a bit, then slowly moved an armored hand to clasp her back. He then caressed her back, allowing her to feel the comfort she so rightfully deserved. The both of them remained this way for some time, longer than mere moments. Corvinius couldn't see Vivian as his own child, he never had one in his world. Though, being near her was giving him a good idea of what that was like. Despite that, he was awfully aware that he couldn't really have a child. Nothing in this universe could survive him in that way.

{Qui-Gon Jinn}

Qui-Gon found this all curious, mysterious, and humorous. Here he stood in the Jedi High Council chambers, watching his fellows argue and try to understand something that they know so very little about. Seeing Mace Windu being more adamant was even more humorous, but that was lessening by the second with what he was proposing.

"Spy, you wish to do?"

Questioned the wizened Yoda.

"To make sure that whatever it is-"

Mace was about to say, but was corrected by Qui-Gon.

"He."

Mace turned his gaze upon the Maverick, narrowed his eyes in annoyance but continued to speak.

"Whatever HE is, the way the Force responds to him flies in the face of everything we know. It does not flow through him, it moves around him. I have half of mind that he was something that was created just to spite us."

"Are you referring to the Sith?"

The ever elegant and motherly Shaak Ti questioned with a raise of the brow.

"The Sith have been long gone for over a thousand years."

Ki Adi Mundi denied almost immediately.

"True, but who is to say that they could have been preparing this for us?"

A curious Plo Koon asked, gaining the attention of Qui-Gon and the council.

"What if the Sith had been working on a way to create a weapon against us? He is as fast or possibly faster than the eye can track, and if the eye witness accounts are to be believed, he took on armies of Battledroids alone. And let us not forget a Lucrehulk down, alone."

Those words were processed by the rest of the council, some considering them and others dismissing it. That said, it was time for Qui-Gon to speak.

"I do not believe that our winged friend is an enemy to us."

He said, feeling the entire council upon him once again.

"What makes you say that?"

Mace asked mirthlessly.

"I am old, and growing older and slower. That being said, as the rest of you know, I am quite skilled with a lightsaber, maybe not so much as you Master Windu, or you Master Yoda. But enough to prove formidable. When I had first seen Corvinius I nearly reacted the same as you. He moved so fast, I had thought that the spear he carried would pierce through me. The Force surely warned of such."

He paused to let his words settle with them before speaking again.

"That being said, the moment he saw me, I noticed that he ceased his hostilities almost immediately. As if he were expecting me and my Padawan. I am unsure if I am right in saying this, but I believe that he has long known of us."

"You think that this man knew of us much longer before we ever became aware of him?"

Plo Koon asked.

"The way he acted, as if he knew us seemed to add to this."

Mace Windu agreed.

"Know us he may, but to what degree?"

Yoda asked, causing the rest of the council to go silent as they sat there contemplating. The next to speak was Adi Gallia, a mature about her.

"When I had arrived at Naboo, none of the citizens seemed to recognize us as the Republic's appointed law enforcement."

She began, speaking with a hint of concern.

"Instead they cursed at me, wishing that we left them alone. They regarded us as nothing more than glorified puppets. Whether or not this Corvinius implanted these seeds of conceit and anger is a mystery. That being said, he is regarded as their hero...their only hero. Many of whom were fanatic enough to even think to attack me outright."

That shifted the tone in the room, causing a few to grow concerned.

"Did-"

Mace began.

"No, none of them went through with it."

Adi reassured.

"I sensed many of them with similar thoughts, though known of them acted upon them. What concerned more was that even children had thoughts similar to that."

Qui-Gon frowned, he hadn't sensed that. Though he did sense a shift in tone for Theed. The people did not eye them with superstition or wonder like many used to, it was more as like he and the Jedi were not welcomed.

"May as it be."

Yoda said, finding everyone's gazes upon the small Jedi Grandmaster.

"Corvinius, a mystery he is to us all. A threat to the Republic is he? Or not? Servant of the Sith, he may be. Warrior for a distant Galactic power, he may also be. Many questions and many mysterious he brings. A question we failed to wonder, however."

"What would that be, Master Yoda?"

Shaak Ti asked.

"Where he is."

{Tattoine, Corvinius}

"Master, are you quite sure that we should be here?"

Asked the chrome protocol droid as it landed the ship. It was a sleek one, large enough to fit an elephant or two with how high the corridors and doors were. And with living accommodations that would befit any little known elite in low sstanding. With a deep breath escaping Corvinius, he peered through the ship's cockpit, gazing upon the desert like wilderness. The nearby town was in the distance, but even so it was a good distance away for normal humans.

"Yes, Four, I do in fact believe that we should be here."

Corvinius said, then turned with his folded in wings behind him.

"Open the ramp, I will not be gone for long. If I am not back by sun down, close the ramp and lock the ship up."

Corvinius didn't wait for the droid to speak. He continued his march down the corridor headed for the ramp leading him out of the ship. He quite liked it, but hated one vital thing about it. He couldn't fly the damned thing. If he could things would be significantly much more simpler. He was having the droid teach him speech and language. Basic was easy, writing it was harder and learning other basic common practices not more so.

Besides that, he was on this desert world for one reason and one reason alone. There was someone here who must have a different fate. He couldn't remember their first name, but knew their last name. Skywalker. He wasn't here for the boy who had the same name, he was here for the mother who originated it.

The mother of Skywalker, and the reason why the "Chosen One" existed.

As he walked down the ramp, a cold chill went up his spine. It felt as if something ethereal had brushed up against his spine through his armor. Like a cold formless hand trying its best to caress his back. He didn't visibly shiver, but he did glance back to find nothing. Yet, his senses told him that he was indeed being watched. The Jedi were of course out of the question, the Sith were possibly watching him. And still, he felt that this was something else, something that he didn't know about.

With a flex of his wings, he faced forward to the city in the distance once again. Then began to breath in, and out. He spread his majestic wings out as he stepped out from beneath the shade of his Nabooian ship. It was a custom made one resembling that of one of their starfighters but larger and of course armed.

The moment that Corvinius took a single armored heel forward, everything went dark. His he felt as if he were weightless, being pulled in another direction. He was bare naked, without his weapons, without his armor. Just bare and winged. Before he realized it, his feet touched a formless ground. Water that was still, but allowed him to stand. Stars littered the sky above him, allowing him to see vaguely. With a quick survey of his surroundings, internally he was freaking out. He didn't know what was happening, he only knew that whatever this was had something to do with the Force in some way.

"Incorrect..."

A curious but mischievous voice stated, as if reading his thoughts. It echoed around him, as if whoever said that was all around him.

"Who said that?"

Corvinius demanded, sounding as stoically as ever.

"You already know who...Caleb."

The voice replied.

"T?"

"Oh...you are not as smart as I thought you would be. You still have not realized who I am?"

Corvinius remained silent, thinking about that question. If this was the "T" person who brought him here to Star Wars, then could he actually figure out who this was. Was it really that simple?

"Here is a hint..."

As soon as the voice said that, Corvinius felt the water that which he stepped on rumble. The stars above seemed to even quake and shake. Even his skin felt as if it were boiling. He began to suffer from an intense headache, even as he looked around to try and see what was happening. That was until he looked down once the water stilled, and the stars returned to their nature state. His headache still throbbed and continue to get worse and worse. When he finally looked down between his feet, he saw something that made him visibly open his mouth and his eyes widening in horror. The Primarch for the first time since he had been here finally feeling an emotion he never thought that he would think. An emotion alien to all Primarchs... fear.

"Oh... that is quite the look on your face."

The voice said, more direct now as the being that Corvinius was looking at had appeared beneath him. They had slender eldricth arms, face, body even. Their body seemed to just be gargantuan in size, so much so that they dwarfed planets. A grotesque grin was on their face as their elongated mouth began to open to speak.

"Go ahead... say my name, Caleb."

Corvinius stared at the entity beneath him. His eyes still widened with horror. He knew all too well as to who this was, and realized that he should have realized who had sent him to Star Wars a long time ago.

"T-Tzeentch..."

Corvinius slowly uttered.

"That is correct Caleb."

The Chaos God said with a hint of glee.

"We have so much to talk about and so little time to speak. So I will only say this my little angel... the game has changed."
