He formed the image of the cafeteria in his mind. He thought this new first-year would not be able to teleport directly to the courtyard, so Hitori chose the cafeteria's entry gate.

He grabbed the nerd's hand and when he was waiting for the nerd's reply, he was already standing in the courtyard without even supplying his mana to the nerd. That left Hitori speechless and stunned. 

He has great potential, was all that he could think of. It was the nerd behind it all along. If Hitori would have tried to teleport, the nerd would have canceled Hitori's spell with his mana and taken him to the courtyard anyway. 

From near the tree in the middle, Mono waved to Hitori. "Where have you been? I thought you were not coming!"

Hitori, with a wide mouth, glanced at Mono, then at the other students, and finally at the nerd whose hand he was still holding.
