Chapter 33: Tier 3 Dungeon

Quinn and the elves dug in as soon as the food was served. Aisha had some talent in cooking and learned a lot from Anrod so her dishes were very delicious.

At first, everyone was eating slowly and gracefully but the dining table slowly evolved into a battlefield as Quinn and the elves started waging war on each other to hoard as much food as they could.

Fortunately, just when they were about to start using skills, everybody realized that the food had all been devoured by them and not even a single grain of rice was left.

They felt disappointed but at the same time, very happy at being able to eat such a good meal. Beatrix was even very satisfied and decided to prank Aisha less in the future and focus more on Lars.

After everyone had a short rest, Quinn asked, "Right, I heard that a new dungeon had appeared in the forest?"

Aisha immediately replied, "Yes, I told you before that Lars found some nearby. I forgot to tell everybody that we'll be going on another trip after this."

Hearing that they could go on another adventure altogether, the elves were greatly excited. Avelin and Jarvis weren't as excited as they enjoyed managing the town more but they still celebrated with the others.

Everyone immediately went and prepared their own stuff and gathered back together shortly.

They immediately set off after preparing everything with Lars leading the way.

In the end, they didn't even have to travel far because the portal was actually just at the border between the town and the forest. Lars had already set some precautions with his team to prevent anyone from entering.

Looking at the portal, Quinn could see that the dungeon was at the peak of Tier 3 dungeons, being 100m tall.

Quinn took the first step and entered the portal. As soon as he got in, he immediately felt the assault of the dense mana in the atmosphere.

Because the mana was so thick, he didn't feel comfortable like before but instead felt suffocated and found it hard to breathe. The elves had felt the same as they entered one by one.

Fortunately, they were able to adapt after a few minutes. After feeling better Quinn and the elves finally had the time to appreciate this dungeon's beauty. The space inside the portal now resembled a small world. Quinn and the others were currently inside a forest with lush vegetation. Quinn could also spot a valley a few kilometers away.

Breathing in the air inside, they could feel their bodies being filled with mana and it gave them the feeling that their skills and spells would have stronger effects inside the dungeon.

While that was the case, the inhabitants were also bound to be many times stronger than normal monsters since who knew how long had they been living inside.

While Quinn and the others were observing, some random rustling had cut off their attention from the beautiful view. Quinn immediately spotted the source that was hiding the a bush nearby.

A small figure immediately jumped out of it and started running away in the opposite direction. Quinn squinted his eyes and realized what the figure was.

It had a humanoid shape and had a very short stature. It had a disgusting green-yellowish skin tone and had pointed ears. Its appearance had been described as one of the ugliest among ten thousand races but still the most lustful creatures.

The running figure was obviously a goblin. Although it looked like it was running as fast as the wind, it was no different from a baby's crawl to Quinn and the elves so they just followed behind leisurely.

The goblin, with only escaping in its head, dashed madly towards his clan's territory to report its sighting of humans who had never appeared for thousands of years.

What it didn't know what that it was directly leading those humans towards their base.

After a few minutes of running, Quinn had spotted a vast clearing with tall grasses in the distance. The goblin dived in and disappeared among the grass. Thankfully, Quinn still had his infrared vision and could still easily follow the goblin.

Another few minutes passed by and some crude tents appeared on Quinn's vision. "It looks like they're already intelligent enough to build shelters and stay in communities."

Upon seeing those tents, the goblin started shouting incomprehensible words. 'Must be goblin language.'

Moments later, more ugly green-skinned goblins appeared in response to the shouting. They then also started shouting back at the goblin to which it responded with another set of gibberish.

An idea dinged inside Quinn's head and told Alice to make another skill. This time, it was a skill that could let him understand all languages from different races.

After receiving the skill, Quinn immediately focused his attention on the conversation.

"Humans! Humans!"

"Where?!"

"Forest! I saw! Delicious humans!"

'Huh. They want to eat us? Why do humans always taste delicious to most races by the way? Should I try some later?' Some dangerous thoughts flashed over Quinn's head but he shook it off immediately.

Suddenly, one of the goblins started shrieking then pointed at Quinn and the others. The goblin had discovered them. Well, they didn't hide in the first place.

The other goblins immediately went crazy and started shouting louder, attracting more attention. More and more goblins appeared and started drooling over Quinn and the elves. The elves were also thought of as humans because they didn't possess the elves' unique smell.

"Humans! Delicious! Eat!"

"Human meat! Fat and juicy!"

They disregarded Quinn and the other's thoughts as they immediately identified them as food and food didn't have rights to express their opinions.

Quinn just snorted at them and spoke in fluent goblin, "Heh, at least humans are loved by many because their delicious. As for you weak goblins, the only reason your alive is because you're all ugly and disgusting."

The goblins were immediately stunned speechless. 'This human speaks our language more fluently than us.' Then they immediately started raging as they had been insulted by their dinner.

"Human, you dare repeat those words?!?!"
