She Became The Boss's Lady After Divorce

Tessa ran away from home to get married to the love of her life, David Winston. On David's birthday, and their three years marriage anniversary, Tessa caught David cheating on her with his childhood friend, Olivia George, a figure from a prestigious family.  She found out that the man she thought was her soulmate only married her because of his family inheritance, now that he had gotten it, she was no longer useful to him. It was time for she to go her own way, after three years of hardship and unfaithfulness.  Tessa picked the pen up and signed the divorce papers.  ‘These people, they have no idea who they are messing with’ David smirked.  “Tessa is from the countryside, I bet her family are local farmers... She can't do anything. Come to think of it, she never told me anything about her family. Perhaps they are beggars! In the countryside” Olivia George screamed.  “Tessa, you will pay for this, I will show you that I am from the George family!” Olivia's quivering tone was heard.  “David... I... I... thought you said she is from the countryside, her family are beggars! right? cos what in the devil's name is going on” Tessa's cheeks raised slowly.  “I forgot to introduce myself. I am Tessa Wood. From the number one mafia family in the country” “Tessa, you would be crowned the next heir to the Wood family, but you have to marry somebody from the military, that is your grandfather's last request”

CHAPTER 38

Tessa was going to the hunting ground to practice her shooting skills, she was done with her morning routine for the day so she decided to practice on her shooting.

She had only started shooting a month ago, so she was nowhere near a professional. She would have to keep practicing if she wanted to reach her father's level or her grandfather's level.

Being the head of the Wood family doesn't mean she had to carry guns around, it was mainly decision-making, but she didn't want to be the type that makes only decisions, she wanted to be involved in the action too.

A leader should lead from the front, her grandfather told her that when he got sick.

Tessa reached the hunting ground, her father was already practicing, and Jeremy was behind him, Jeremy was quickly loading a rifle, perhaps he wanted to join her father.

Tessa approached both of them, the men noticed her as she approached, and Jeremy instinctively handed Tessa the loaded rifle.
