9: Fighting A Demon And Arriving In Danafor

After not leaving for the kingdom that Rou talked about we decided that before the sunset to today we would leave for the kingdom. It was currently early morning so everywhere was still pretty dark, so we had a fire lit.

"Rou, I forgot to ask but what is the name of the place we're going." "It's a relatively new kingdom but it's called Danafor."

Hearing that name more memories started spilling out, Danafor was the kingdom that Meliodas destroyed in his rage, the place he earned his name as the sin of wrath.

"Yeah I ain't heard of it before, hopefully it ain't to bad." As we finished our breakfast and getting ready to leave there was a sudden growl that could be heard from the forest. Me and Rou turning back could only be shocked by what we saw, it was a red demon.

But like Gloxinia before we even had a chance to process what was happening the demon came hurling towards us. But I managed to materialize a light sword then clashed with the demon. Rou was out-classed here since even I could barely keep up with it, so instead using his shadow movement he appeared from the demons shadow jumping up and kicking it from behind.

Right now the only attacking skill I had was light manipulation but thankfully it was very versatile. So using multi step I took a few step backs and made a light crossbow and shot the arrows at the demons heart hitting one of them.

But the demon did something unexpected, he started to adapt. He waited for Rou to come into his field of attacks then using his red hot flames he fired flames from his mouth.

Rou who was still slightly sleep deprived as well as being in darkness couldn't react in time but luckily I managed to react in time with multi step and pushed him out of the way.

"God dammit what am I some type of princess, what's with you and always saving me." Rou said with a friendly smile on his face. "When you started acting like one you little shit."

"You stay here princess I'll protect you princess." "Damn you."

So me and Rou side by side charged towards the demon with intent to destroy it.

So I made two light swords and charged clashing with the demon while Rou with his iron sword swung from behind landing a hit.

Although this being our first time fighting together we had good synergy which helped a lot.

But in the fight the demon was still holding its own against us. Counter attacking when needed and dodging perfectly. This was probably the best fight I've had yet so I couldn't help but wear a smile.

But all good things must come to an end, so from clash to clash between the three of us I managed to use multistep to get in behind the demon.

From there 6 glowing swords appeared behind me stabbing through his remaining hearts killing him.

I decided to keep my stats as equal as possible splitting it equally.

But before that I had to assimilate with the demon, so I did the business. "Assimilate."

If I took the fire then that's another powerful skill in my locker. But the prospect of having the 7 hearts spun me, I felt like it was way to good to refuse. I was definitely going to come pass more attacking skills as well as demons.

In the bustling streets of Danafor you could see a happy child from end to end. Women selling food and men talking about politics.

But coming in wearing spotless white armor a man with a menacing stare black eyes and straight black eyes that all would tremble in fear for supported a tall and skinny man with long hair and pale skin waring a pitch black jacket with black jeans and a singlet, while the other was a tall fat man wearing tight checkered sweather.

But all of a sudden a child with orange hair and blue eyes stared at the white armored man in which he returned. "Oi your one bastard of a big brother aren't you, you leave your mother and brother starving while your in a big castle living it up."

"I have no quarries for a child trying to act like a man." Then with rage in his eyes the child darted at the white armored man. "River." That's when the skinny man pulled out a sword ready to slash down on the child.

But all of a sudden as the blade was going down a figure with blonde hair and red eyes caught the steel blade. Everyone including the armored knight knight was surprised by the figures speed.

"You really are a princess with a big heart aren't you Rou."

"Shut your damn mouth, I did what was needed."
