Chapter 232 Illegal Weapon

The hostile-looking Indian man took a step towards her but the gorgeous American man standing next to him stops him by placing a hand on his shoulder. "Let her speak." The American said to him, and now she understands why Maya was so jealous of Janice.

To have all these gorgeous men fussing over her, wow, a dream come through for any woman. She took a deep breath before speaking. "I had no idea what I was in for when I agree to help Maya." She began.

"Maya asked me for my help in bailing out a friend, she said she couldn't do it herself because if her husband found out she could lose her daughter, so I agreed, little did I know that I was been played, by Maya, someone I thought was my friend." She said with a heavy sigh.

"Did you know Kayla before you bailed her out of jail?" The one with the soft brown eyes and a mass of curls on his head asks. He looks like a gentleman, one that would open a car door for you or pulls out the chair for you at a restaurant.

"No, when I bailed her out was the first time I met her." "When did you realize you were being played?" The American guy asks. "A week after I bailed Kayla out. Maya and I were having lunch and she walked into the restaurant and joined us. Maya was overjoyed to see her, which I thought was strange but I said nothing.

As soon as Kayla sat down she began asking Maya questions about the Jackson family, especially about someone name Tyler, most of her questions were about Tyler. She wanted to know what he was up to, how his training was going, his schedule at work, and a lot of other personal stuff, and Maya held nothing back." She said with another sigh.

"Based on the conversation I can tell you she is obsessed with this Tyler person, she hates Caleb and says she is going to let him pay for hanging up on her when she needed help. Fabian she says is a self-righteous son of a bitch and well she basically hates the rest of the family but the one she hates the most is Janice, and I quote, she Kaya is going to enjoy taking that bitch out, that was when I realized I had made a mistake by helping Maya.

You see, Kayla wasn't only Maya's friend, she was Maya's assassin. Maya was going to use her to hurt the Jackson family….." "How do we know you're telling the truth, you could only be bad-mouthing my daughter because she isn't here to defend herself." The mother said angrily.

"Oh, believe me, I take no pleasure in saying these things about Maya but the Maya I saw when she was around this woman wasn't the Maya I knew before, she changed after she became friends with Kayla. The next day I ask her about what happened at lunch, I wanted to know why she was feeding this woman info on the Jacksons, and let me tell you; she was furious that I had the nerve to question her, we were at work so for peace sake I dropped the conversation.

She avoided me like the plague from then on, next thing I knew Kayla had disappeared, Maya swears up and down that she didn't know where Kayla was but for some reason, I wasn't buying it, I knew she was hiding something." "What made you think that?" Ty asks.

"Because she began disappearing without her bag and car, she would leave them at the office and disappear and sometimes I would catch her coming out of a taxi. She was always complaining about how awful her husband was so I just thought she was having an affair." The woman said with a heavy sigh.

"Look as I said before I made the mistake of trusting Maya and bailing Kayla out of jail and I will have to live with that but Maya was the only person who knew where Kayla is and now that she's gone that leaves us with nothing, the police said that they searched Maya's house but found no clue as to where Kayla could be, nothing, Maya covered her tracks well.

If everything the police said is true, then Kayla is a very dangerous person filled with anger, hatred, and jealousy and wherever she is, she's not planning on just hurting Janice but killing her and I think she has enough money to carry out her plan with perfection, so please be careful." She advised.

"Where did she get this money?" Caleb asks. "Two weeks before she died Maya emptied her personal savings account of over half a million, it wasn't public knowledge but word gets around the office. I didn't get around to asking her why she emptied her account or what she planned to do with the money but now I'm thinking that she gave it to Kayla…."

"Well isn't this just convenient, showing up here bashing my daughter because she can't defend herself, you don't know what her intentions were…." Maya's mother said angrily but the other woman cuts her off before she could continue. "And neither did you and I didn't come here to bash the dead but let's be honest here, there was a lot going on with Maya that none of us knew about.

It's not an if Kayla will strike, it's a when and when she does someone is going to get hurt badly or worst so as I said again, be careful, all of you." The woman said before walking away."

"Can I have my gun back?" Maya's mother asks in an angry tone. "Not in this life," Ty said. "Is this thing even licensed?" Samson ask. "No." "Do you know the consequences of walking around with an illegal weapon?" Samson asks again in a stern tone. "Go home woman before we change our minds and have you arrested," Fabian warned her before they all turn and walk away from her.

"So what are you going to do with it?" Fabian asks catching up to Samson. "Give it to your cousin, she's a police, she'll know what to do with it." "Good thing you're wearing gloves, it wouldn't be wise to have your prints on that thing." Samson snorts.
