Damn you Luke!! I cursed irritated by his guts. As much as I wanted trouble I knew he wasn't bluffing. He and Beryl are the same, they don't just give empty threats, even if they disagree about something, they'll both agree when it comes to killing someone. 

Luke's Pov 

Today has been nerve-racking. First I've been having pet fights with Rachel and I can't help but miss her. I know I've been an asshole recently but I just want things to be fine, she's not helping either. I pulled my hair in frustration emptying my wine glass in one gulp. As I turned around my eyes met with the woman I least expected to see tonight.

Luke! She said with a tight smile, she looked pretty messed up like she was being chased. 

Pulling her to a secluded corner, I gave her a thorough look and asked with greeted teeth. Who the hell did this to you?!! 

Adam cornered me at the supermarket, he... He... She stuttered as her eyes watered. 

He what?!! Rachel, I asked with blood-shut eyes.

He almost raped me. I escaped by luck, she explained tearing up. 

Fuck! I cursed feeling pissed. Today really isn't a good day for me. Pulling her in for a hug, shush, please shush I'm here now, I tried to calm her down. How did you know this place?

Okay, I said and went into the bathroom. I came back a few minutes later to an empty room. Then I started hearing voices from the corridor.

Jordan, where's Mav? Luke asked. 

I saw them go into the mansion but they haven't come out yet.
