Chapter 10

"One battle has been won, but this is just the beginning. We today are declaring that our Faction will war against the evil that spreads across the Expanse. Next, we will travel to the Official Faction Department to gain our legitimate establishment as a Faction. Our choice for you is this, join us, or return to your free lives. We hold no judgment over you regardless of your decision," Kai finished.

Everyone stood quietly among each other as the many slaves basically covered the whole Caecis entrance platform and the docks to the side of it as well. Whispers could be heard as a slight gust of wind made its way in between all that was there.

"How will we get back to Catarei?" A slave asked loudly to Kai.

"There are two Boosters here at the docks as you see," Kai pointed to the massive boats that sat at the docks. "We will take one, the other is for those that wish to return to the city, my Treader is available over there as well," Kai finished.

The whispers continued momentarily before another question was raised.

"What's the name of this Faction, and what's our goal exactly?" A woman asked this time.

Kai took a deep breath before he began.

"Our goal is to change the Expanse forever. We have all been suffering under the rule and evil shit that revolves around the Dusk Alliance," Kai looked back to where the Caecis entrance previously was, now just a deep cave full of water. "This is just the beginning, as I said earlier. We travel starting today, going across the expanse to the city of Njomon to be officially established by the Old Governments Official Faction Department. After we replenish our needed supplies for our journey, we will continue our travels across the Expanse, unlocking the secrets kept from us. To fight for those that don't have anyone or that can't fight for themselves. Imagine the people that are currently slaves like you are but have been for years, that is just their lifestyle at this point. Do you wish to change this forever ongoing chapter in all of our books?" Kai asked.

Now more approval was heard amongst the crowd of people. Leon stepped forwards this time to speak.

"There was once a bloodline long forgotten from thousands of years past, even before the times of the Old Days. They were known as the most feared Bloodline of Family and were leaders in our world. We take on the name of our lost Bloodline, we will be known as the Faction Faerlu."

When Leon finished, the crowd of over sixty slaves completely erupted into a cheer.

As everything became calm once more, two lines were made for the Boosters. Eileen marked the names of those going back to Catarei, Leon marked the names of those joining Faerlu.

"Cruz, Kai spoke to us about you. Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" Eileen asked the man.

Cruz looked down and sighed before he replied." No offense, the speeches were great. Nonetheless, this is both of our faults. I must go help rebuild our city so you guys can have Catarei to protect properly this time."

Eileen nodded kindly.

"I completely understand, and I'm sure Kai would appreciate that as well, save travels," she said in return.

"Forever Journey."

With that, the next person walked up. A majority of the previous slaves would return to Catarei, but there were still around twenty or so joining the Faction.

"Next," Leon stated.

A woman walked softly up to him, the one that previously asked the question earlier. Kai came up to the side of Leon as he was reaching the remaining individuals in his line.

"Name?" Leon asked.

"Aida, sir," she replied.

"That's a good name," Kai stated from the side as he was looking at Leon's list.

"Thank you, my lord."

Kai chuckled before asking a question. "And why have you decided to join us exactly Aida?"

"Because I have nothing nor anything to return to. I wish to dedicate myself and learn to fight for this Faction."

"Very well. Welcome to Faerlu."

After an awkward bow, Aida walked up the steps to the Booster. The next in line was the slave that set up the Glory-filled barrel with Kai and set the fuse.

"Name's Portam, and nay, I have plenty of skills that Faerlu will flourish off of.

"I believe it," Kai stated with a slight nod.

Portam began his way up the stairs, and a few more individuals had their names marked before following in his steps until Leon's line was finally to an end.

"We are almost ready to go, it's finally time," Leon stated with a sigh of relief.

Kai and Leon both laughed.

"Eileen will be done momentarily, she filled the whole Booster and the Treader," Kai said.

"Are you going to miss the Treader? Are you sure you're ready for this?" Leon asked.

"Of course brother, let's go change the Expanse with our Forever Journey."

"Agreed," Leon said.
