Chapter 11 -

Njomon, the city of the night, was awfully similar to that of Catarei. Njomon had bridges that linked to massive buildings and structures throughout the city, as did Catarei. Beautiful during the daylight, but scattered full of Relnad Soldiers by night. The members of the Faction Faerlu still headed there at full speed.

Their journey on a smaller boat, such as the Treader, would've taken them around ten days total. Thankfully though, the Booster was a boat built for mother nature and her waters.

A massive propulsion system navigates its way throughout the boat, the pipes angling up and down the walls from the stern to help accelerate the giant ship. Around fifty rooms spread throughout. The first floor contained the mechanic's loft, the armory, the forge, library, and a few cells for prisoners of war. The second floor consists of a few rooms, a training loft, the mess hall, and a room meant specifically for Sacer practitioners. Though only a few of them actually knew what Sacer was.

The third floor is filled with multiple rooms, some with extra bunks meant for multiple people. The fourth holds the captain's deck and bigger rooms meant for the Officers and Captain. Old and rusty pipes traveled throughout the whole boat, giving off a slightly ancient look. Only two days into their journey to Njomon and the crew aboard the Booster was growing nervous and tired.

An exhausted Captain and Leader of the Faction Faerlu, Kai stood lonesome on the deck that reached from his personal room. The star-filled night sky shined bright over the salty seawater that splashed high into the air as the Booster landed continuously from the rough waves it rode.

Footsteps could be heard approaching Kai as he stood, gazing over the water.

"Everyone has finally settled into their own respective rooms, and we seem to be headed to Njomon at a good pace, thanks to Dulgit and his navigational skills. Eileen has kept the crew fed in the mess hall every morning and afternoon. Meanwhile, Portam has been forging since he's been aboard, we'll have everyone training for future battles in no time," Leon finished.

"Hearing this good news warms my soul," Kai responded quietly.

"Good news indeed, but I need to know our full plan here," his childhood friend asked as he stood next to Kai.

A quiet moment sat between the two before Kai spoke.

"Of course, we are to get to Njomon to find the Official Faction Department. But after that? I presume we continue on to find our new home brother. Portam continues to forge, we begin to pick our battles wisely. This is the turning point."

"But you still look concerned, I can see it," Leon quickly responded.

"The thing is, we always spoke about our Forever Journey but now that we have it within our grasps we don't even understand how to even approach it," Kai explained before continuing," we barely even know what Sacer does besides what we taught ourselves, Leon. I just don't know if this was my best decision."

Leon took a deep breath before speaking.

"Like I've said multiple times before, I believe in you. I've only survived this long because of you Kai. Maybe it's about time that you start believing in yourself?" He finished questionably.

"You're right," Kai replied.

"Well, I just wanted to see where your head was at," Leon stated.

"It's as lost as ever," Kai replied with a slight chuckle.

"You'll figure it out," Leon responded this time with a friendly chuckle as well.

"In the meantime, get some rest. We reach Njomon within a few days."

Silence brews once more as the steps of his friend walking away echoed further into the distance.

'I hope I'm right about all of this.'
