Chapter 13 The Fourth Companion—Juvia Lockser

With just one hit, Colonel Smoker, who has the Logia ability, was defeated. This surprised the audience greatly. Even Tashigi and other members of the Marine were shocked. Erza, Mirajan, and Nami were also taken aback for a moment.

They never expected the battle to end so abruptly. After a while, they collected themselves and resumed their activities.

"Wow, the president is incredible!" Nami cheered enthusiastically.

Mirajan smiled and clapped, saying, "He truly is remarkable!"

Sergeant Tashigi screamed in fear and led her team into the ruins to rescue the injured and unconscious Smoker.

Su Yu shook his spoils and turned to leave, saying, "Let's go, ladies!"

"President, I'm curious. How were you able to defeat that individual who seemed impervious to physical harm? Even my sword had no effect on him!" Erza asked for advice in confusion.

"It's easy, really. This guy's weapon had seastone on the top, which can control those with abilities," explained Su Yu.

"Wow, that stone must be really valuable," replied the listener.

"Don't worry, you can still get your hands on some if you want."

"I'm interested in seastone armor. Can I purchase a set?"

"Armor might be tricky, as seastone is even harder than diamonds," said Su Yu.

"What! Is that tough? Never mind. Are there any other types of restraints available?"

"Haki!"

"What's Haki?"

"Haki is an innate power that lies within every person,"

"Mr. President, can you use it?"

"No, I can't," replied the President firmly.

As they spoke, Su Yu and his companions made their way back to their boat, leaving the awestruck crowd behind.

"Fairy Tail sets sail once more! Let's aim for the Grand Line!" they shouted with enthusiasm.

But as they sailed on for another hour, the world suddenly changed. The once-clear sky was now covered by heavy rain clouds, and torrential rain poured down upon them. The sea churned violently with wave after wave.

As they peered through the haze, Erza spotted a huge red clay wall rising up into the sky. "That's the Red Line," Nami explained. "It's said that you can reach the Grand Line by climbing the Upside Down Mountain!"

"But how do we get to the other side?" questioned Mirajan, puzzled.

"It's easy!" Su Yu said confidently, spotting a gap in the wall and a special canal pulled upstream by an inexplicable force. The sight of the climbing canal of the Upside Down Mountain was breathtaking, even for Erza and Mirajan who were born in the magical world.

"Girls, hold on tight!" Su Yu steered the Fairy Tail straight ahead, boarding the Climbing Canal. Just five minutes later, they broke through the cumulonimbus clouds and reached the top of the Upside Down Mountain.

As they stood on the highest point, admiring the boundless sea, Nami and the others marveled at the beautiful sight. However, their moment of awe was brief.

The Fairy Tail suddenly plummeted like a roller coaster, causing the girls to scream in terror and excitement.

As the starting point for the Grand Line, newcomers are required to stop at Twin Point to enter. The weather has been atypically wet and dreary for the past two days.

One day, while wearing a flowered shirt and slippers, an elderly man named Crocus noticed a girl standing alone in the rain holding a Blue umbrella.

Concerned for her well-being, he offered her hot soup and food. During their conversation, he discovered that she was not a pirate, but rather someone searching for a way to enter the Grand Line.

Juvia Lockser is waiting for her partner to pick her up, but Crocus shakes his head, thinking about an event that happened fifty years ago. A whale was left behind by its mate, with a promise to come back and pick it up after circling the world for a week, but they never returned.

Similarly, Juvia's partner may never come back for her, and Crocus couldn't bear to say such cruel words to her. He can only hope that she realizes this on her own.

"Ah, ah, ah, when will it be sunny this day!"

Crocus shook his head sadly, "I don't know. It's been raining for two days straight now."

However, in the next second, without warning, the light rain stopped and the sun started shining. The sky cleared up all at once. The girl turned around and showed a bright smile, "Grandpa, thank you for taking care of me these two days, my partner is here to pick me up!"
