"How boring." Robert was on guard duty looking out for lost muggleborns. He had a sign reading "Platform three quarters welcome". Thankfully he asked Flitwick to make it visible only to wizards otherwise it would have been embarrassing for him to stand with it in plain sight. He was waken from his musings by a shy looking boy with glasses. He had unruly black hair and emerald green eyes. He looked scrawny and had oversized clothes.

'Yep, the main character at his lowest.' He thought.

"Excuse me, sir. Could you help me?" The boy asked with uncertainty in his voice. It was almost as if he was too scared to ask.

"Of course. I'm Robert Crow and I work as an assistant at Hogwarts. You probably want to know how to find the platform. Follow me." Robert said reassuringly.

The boy followed him towards the pillar where the entrance was. On the way they saw a bunch of redheads before them. The what seemed to be the mother of the bunch shouted loudly about being late and trying to remember where the entrance was. How could she forget nobody knows. However, having a bunch of rambunctious children could easily make her forget her own name. Robert walked towards them with Harry behind him and asked her to show the boy how to get through the other side. Robert still had to be on the look out for at least five minutes for straglers.

At the last minute he got on the train and headed towards the compartment with prefects in them. Entering he saw one of the redheaded boys from earlier, Percy Weasley. After introductions between them and the new prefects the first rounds started. During the first half of the journey Robert ran into a plump boy which was currently looking with a bushy haired girl for his toad. He asked the boy for the name of his toad an then summoned it with Accio. The boy showed relief while the girl tried to badger him with questions. With a poor excuse of having to go to the loo he runned away from the little minx. No phone could possibly contain the amount of knowledge she was vehemently seeking. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice of Tonks coming ahead. He looked through the window and seen her. He knocked on the door to say hello.

"What are you doing here!" Someone yelled in an accusatory tone. He looked to the right and here she was. The girl from Tomes and scrolls. It seems she and Tonks know each other.

"Hello. Nice meeting you again. I'm Robert Crow. First year and Hogwarts assistant at your service." He replied.

"Since when first years started taking beggars." He winced at that comment. 'What was this girls problem.' He thought

"Wotcher, old man." Tonks said. Robert regretted opening the door.

"Nothing much upstart. I'm just helping the prefects with rounds. Also trying to remember as much faces as possible." At least Robert took his job seriously.

"Anyone worth mentioning?" She asked

"Just a boy with green eyes." He smirked

"Should we call for an adult?" Some other girl said in response to his comment.

"I am an adult." Inwardly he snickered at the reference. Another fourth wall breaking joke accomplished. But who was keeping the score.

"I'm sorry but I didn't catch your names" Robert said while looking at the brown skinned girl.

"Jasmine Redfield." She huffed.

"Mindy Stork, pleased to meet you." Said the girl from earlier. She had blonde straight hair, blueish eyes. She was quite small.

"So you all belong to the same house at this rainbow over here? Robert said while pointing at Tonks.

"They sure do. We are the Power Huff Girls!" She said with pride.

"Right. Was the other name already taken?" he asked with his brow raised.

"What name?" she asked confused by his question.

"It's nothing." He tactfully retreated.

"Whatever, can't wait to get sorted?" Tonks asked

"Not really, I'm not getting sorted into a house anyway. It'd look bad for me to be with children in the same dorm room. So I got the teacher treatment, a whole room to myself."

"That's unfair." Tonks complained.

"How unfortunate for you. I think I'll cry a little, ouch. Man down!" Robert yelled after Tonks swatted him on his arm.

"That's what you get for being an ass." She said.

Robert left the girls to continue his rounds while the girls discussed the new guy in town.

"So what is he like? You seem to like him." Mindy said with a scrutinizing look.

"I meet him in Diagon. He literally fell for me." She laughed.

"And what really happened?" Mindy continued her line of questioning.

"He bumped into me on the street. After that we talked a little bit and after buying books we went to eat ice-cream." Tonks said

"So you went on a date with a total stranger. And you want to be an auror with this self-awareness?" Jasmine icely said.

"It wasn't a date. More like charity from little old me." She winked

"And how did he react to you being a metamorphmagus?" Mindy asked

"He... he didn't ask." Tonks said with shock evident on her face. It wasn't normal. Even people who knew her had to mention it from time to time. 'Why didn't he do that?' she wondered.

"At least he isn't a disgusting pig." Jasmine snarked. "Maybe a bug"

"Well it seems someone doesn't like him. Or maybe it's just reverse psychology and you like him?" Tonks said with a smirk.

"How about i reverse my agreement to let you read my notes?" Jasmine decided to punch where it hurt the most.

"No! I'll be good, I swear." Tonks begged

"Hmph" Jasmine huffed.

The train reached its destination by eight p.m. Robert helped Hagrid gather the first years and packed them into the little boats on the black lake. Unfortunately it was raining so the view wasn't as good as it could be. However it still did its job by awing the next generation of wizards and witches.
