CHAPTER 30 - CULTIVATING

Hmmmm…. Intriguing…

"An elementless brat," The master said, "it has been a long time since one has been seen"

Micheal who was bowing was shocked, "Daniel had no element!" he knew what it meant.

According to his master, every single person has a group of elements around them.

There are those who can't control them leaving them as ordinary people, and then those who have the ability to control them, these are called mages.

They extract the elemental essence from the surroundings and turn them into their own powers.

The rate of conversion is the mage talent, those who have higher talents have a higher rate of conversion.

So every single person has an element, some even having multiple surrounding them.

But he hadn't heard of a person who didn't have any elements in them, until today when he sensed Daniel.

"Don't worry about him, he'll either shine or drown in the lights of the talented youths," his master said.

Micheal stood up, and entered deeper into the building.

Normal civilians wouldn't be able to bear the sheer amount of heat inside the building, but Micheal stood there like it was nothing.

His master has been training him to get resistance to some elements for his future.

"What are you making master?" Micheal asked.

"Didn't you guys just make a request to the city lord before going to the other city, I'm making what you asked for" he replied.

He was happy inside, the sword he had been using was made by himself and his master refused to make any weapon for him in the past.

But now his master would be making a sword for him.

In the academy, Anita sat on the floor in her training room.

Ever since she entered that state when she was fighting Daniel, her control over the surrounding air and wind has increased.

If she could enter that state all through the day she would, but she could only do it once a day.

When she wasn't in that state, she could release a small gust of wind out of her body and use the wind elements in her to make small darts as weapons.

She sat down, calmed her mind, and cleared her thoughts, she took all the wind elements in her body and pushed it all to her brain and then it clicked.

She took the surrounding wind elements and then stuffed them into her body to replenish the lost energy.

She had found a way to extend the time she could stay in that state, the first was to keep herself awake, and that was why she sent the essence into her head.

Being in that state drained her mental energy, leaving her tired and exhausted after.

So the essence she put in her head was to protect her mental energy from draining quickly.

In that state she could feel the wind clearly around her, she felt it was alive.

The wind followed her command as she spoke, obeying her every word.

Ever since she had entered this state, she hadn't been able to convert even one percent of the wind surrounding her into her power.

Converting one percent to her power is the entrance to becoming a mage, a beginner mage has converted one to twenty percent of an element to their power.

While an intermediate mage has converted twenty-one percent to fifty percent of an element to their own power.

Then an advanced mage has converted fifty-one percent to ninety percent of an element to their power.

And a supreme mage had converted ninety- one to hundred percent of an element to their own.

And here she was still struggling to convert just one percent.

Right above her belly button was a small core which was transparent, this was the place that the wind energy she absorbed went to.

Absorbing it only a small percentage entered into the core, and every other thing left her body, she had to undergo this process multiple times before some of the wind energy was converted to her own.

At this moment she wasn't used to the wind energy flowing into her body, and couldn't remember the path it flowed into her body.

So she could only cultivate in that state since her master hadn't taught her how to yet.

She continued the process for over ten minutes before exhaustion overwhelmed her and she was exited from that state.

"I still couldn't go longer than twelve minutes," she thought.

Although she had increased the time she could stay in that state, it wasn't by much longer.

According to her master, some mages were always in that state not leaving it once, it was a state only those who reached the beginner advanced mage could enter, and she who wasn't a mage could enter it, that was what made her special in her master's eye.

She left her training room to take a shower and rest from there.

In another room Daniel was exercising, he had missed exercising for some days due to his trying to control his body, so he had only meditated.

Now that his body had gotten stronger, he wanted to know his limits, only when he knew his limit could he keep on getting stronger.

He could do an average of four hundred press-ups in one try before awakening, and at the moment he had done an astounding amount of one thousand two hundred press-ups in one try, and he wasn't still tired, he did an extra three hundred pushups before stopping because his arms became sore.

Then he moved to squats, he could do an average of one thousand squats before getting tired, and now he could squat almost three thousand times in one try.

He moved on to other exercises, then he found out he could do almost triple the amount of exercises he could do in the past if not more.

His body durability had been strengthened, his stamina doubled, and his strength had been increased by a large amount, and he could even control a minuscule amount of force in his body at the moment.
