CHAPTER 29- MASTER

"Your items would be given to you before you leave the city, in a week's time you all would be transported to a main city," the city lord said.

Anita responded with indifference as the news couldn't shake her.

While the others were surprised, they didn't know that they would be leaving so soon, and they still had a lot of things to prepare.

"You all are dismissed," he said.

They left the podium walking back to the academy, while the two instructors stayed behind.

"That girl Anita," the city lord said "her pride and arrogance can lead to her downfall later on if she continues like this, is it because she is a student of a mage? Aren't there other mages who have students, or is there something different with her teacher?"

The two instructors' eyes widened, they hadn't seen the city lord speak of a student like that before, but they understood his words.

Ever since it was revealed that she had a high-level mage talent, she became different.

The usual kind and friendly girl who talked and mingled with everyone was gone, she became indifferent and separated herself from everyone, doing things to her own liking.

They were a little elated that Daniel didn't behave like her, he just maintained himself and continued doing his things.

"Well for the students moving to one of the main cities, they would be gone in a week, so arrangements should be made for their leaving," the city lord said as he walked back to his building.

On the way back Daniel went to meet Micheal, as his cliffhanger had left him annoyed since yesterday.

"Yo Micheal," Daniel shouted as he ran forward as Micheal was ahead of him, "aren't you going to tell me the surprise anymore?" he asked in an exasperated tone.

"Ohh I forgot," Micheal replied in a teasing tone.

Daniel looked at him obviously annoyed, "if he didn't want to tell me, why did he spark my curiosity?" he thought.

So he immediately left and went back to the academy.

"Hey, wait" Micheal shouted, but Daniel didn't listen to him.

"Idiots," Anita thought inwardly, while Scarlett let out a small laugh.

At the academy entrance, Micheal caught up to Daniel stopping him.

"Hey, wait for a while, I want to tell you but I need a physical explanation so you'll understand, I couldn't do it in the streets properly, just follow me to my room."

Daniel decided to listen to him and followed him to the room.

As they entered Micheal searched if anyone was in the hallway and then closed the door.

"Don't tell anyone this secret yet, as of this moment the only one who knows it are me and my master," Micheal said.

Hearing his words Daniel knew he was serious and why he didn't want to say it on the street.

"I've awoken my mage talent," he said with a serious tone.

Daniel's jaw widened, his secret was that he awakened his mage talent.

Daniel didn't think much of it, most children from the city awaken a mage power and are taken to the main cities, so there was no need to hide them.

But looking at Micheal's face who was still serious he thought otherwise.

First of all, the mage talent I awakened is a little rare, it isn't under the five basic elements.

"I awakened the metal element," Micheal said with a serious tone. "And the only reason I didn't give out the news was because of Anita," he added.

"What did Anita do?" Daniel asked.

"She didn't do anything, but my master told me to beware."

"Haven't you noticed, ever since she got her talent she became distant, she moved alone and acted cold towards everyone, even towards the instructors and city lord." he continued.

"Also I want to keep my talent hidden as I don't want her to turn me into a competitor then an enemy."

"My talent is somehow special Due to it, I could feel some extra element around me, when moving to the center of the city I could feel her trying her best to control the surrounding wind elements if not controlling it."

"I wanted to announce my talent to the city lord at the place but I changed my mind due to what I felt."

"I remembered my master's words, so If I'm asked when I awakened the talent, I would say it was when we were moving to a main city."

Daniel understood him, as even some people in the academy were already jealous, but it wasn't his problem, they didn't work hard but he did.

"Ok, I won't tell anyone your secret, and how can I even tell people when I don't have friends?" he asked.

Daniel walked back to his room thinking, people were awakening elemental talent what did he awaken? Or why hasn't he awakened yet?

While he was fighting Anita on the stage, he could feel her control the wind for her own use, although little at that time it was still useful.

Now Micheal had awakened a rare sub-element and a special type, and he still hadn't awakened anything, or maybe he had awakened it before on that day some months ago.

Removing the thoughts from his head, he entered his room, for today he just wanted to rest.

He wanted to sleep all day, doing nothing, just being lazy.

He drank a cup of water, took off his uniform, then he dozed off.

Somewhere in the inner city, Micheal was walking towards a blacksmithing shop.

He opened the shop doors, and a strong wave of heat hit him directly.

It left some slight burns on his face and skin, but he didn't mind and just walked in.

The heat emanating from within was enough to boil pots of water.

Inside was a middle-aged man with a hammer striking down on a weapon.

His muscles were large and bulky and he had short hair, he stood tall with his head almost touching the ceiling, with a huge scar on his chest.

"Greetings master," Micheal bowed as he greeted.

"Have you checked on the talents of the student going to a main city?" His master asked.

"Yes, Scarlett is about to awaken a fire element soon if everything goes well, while Anita has a wind talent that is constantly growing," he replied.

"But what shocked me the most was Daniel, I couldn't feel anything emanating from him, he just felt like a mirror, reflecting elements from himself,"
