Archive's Warning

This was the decision made by the planer will. Nothing native to the plane can go against it. However, in making this decision, it exhausted a great deal of the planer will's power, and thereby decreasing the strength of the plane itself.

The entire plane shook for a moment, and Merlin discretely noticed that the planer shield greatly reduced in thickness and strength, and he also felt the space around him weakening.

Initially, what took him all his strength, while being greatly injured to enter the plane had now changed to just injuring him slightly. Instead of losing all his strength, and being stuck in a weakened state for a month or so, he would now only be in that state for around a day.

The space was also incredibly weak now. Back on Earth, the space was so strong that even all his strength barely caused ripples on it, and this stalemate with space-time would remain the same until Merlin reached Tier 6 or above.

However, the case was different here. When he had just arrived here, he might not even be able to ripple spacetime, however, now the ripple he could cause on spacetime would he equivalent to the same ripples caused by a Tier 4 on Earth.

Naturally, this show was only against the spacial strength of the plane, and not real power.

Merlin shooed away both the golems along with the envoys, as he turned back and leapt onto the mountain. This time, with Mecha still scouring the mountain, Merlin did not stop at the side of the mountain, but went straight for the peak.

He had felt a sense of danger from the mountain top earlier, and so he had decided not to bother getting even more injured by going there.

Now, however, after the planer will accepted him, he had finally felt the sense of danger from the mountain top fade, replaced with something that was calling out to him.

It was not speaking with Merlin directly, nor through the mind, but it was a sort of tug at his soul which compelled him to move towards it.

While climbing up the mountain, Merlin finally heard Phillip's voice after a long time of silence.

"Master! The time displacement has changed! The hyperbolic plane has now become 12 times faster than the speed of Earth's plane!"

"Huh!"

Merlin's feet stopped for a moment, as his mind drifted into considering something.

"The time displacement changed as soon as the dimension weakened…"

The implications of such a thing rang in his mind. 'Archive' was softly reacting to this realisation, as though he was on the verge of understanding one of the fundamental aspects of reality.

However, even after 10 minutes of pondering, nothing come to mind, and so Merlin decided to put it at the back of his mind for the time being, and decided to move forward towards the top of the mountain.

A few minutes later, he had scaled one of the highest peaks on this plane.

At the top, he saw a scene which left him stunned. There was a half-red hot, half-calm green energy floating just above the top of the mountain. Merlin could not feel any mana fluctuations from it at all, which intrigued him, since a plane which has already gone through one mana burst, which now allows Tier 2s to exist, should not have anything void of mana.

A tug on his soul compelled him to inch forward, however, just as he was about to touch it, every fibre of his being, along with all his skills, titles, and even his 'Archive' began screaming for him to stop. Not to touch the substance no matter what.

'Archive' was screaming the loudest out of everything, while his soul was still compelling him to move forward, resulting in a state of Merlin being stuck inches away from the substance.

Time passed as the sun, and the moons passed by multiple times. Merlin just stood there, as if he was caste out of iron.

Soon, 10 days had passed, and Merlin finally made the decision to follow his skills, namely 'Archive'. Merlin did not trust his skills, however, he trusted this 'Archive', which had exceeded the system itself, a lot more than something as fickle as his soul.
