Chapter 19- miss

All afternoon, Clarisse stayed in her room, not venturing out even though she longed to explore the city where he once lived. After the incident with Bertram, she didn't dare to leave. At dinner, Jonathan returned and took her down to the hotel's restaurant. Clarisse, lacking appetite, picked at her food indifferently. Jonathan frowned at her.

"Why are you eating so little?"

"I have no appetite..."

She bit her spoon and looked at him timidly. With Cesar Rollin Balas in such a state, how could she have an appetite? Jonathan set his chopsticks down, his face cold.

"You're losing your appetite over something so small? Everyone goes through birth, aging, sickness, and death. If your father really passes away someday, are you going to follow him too?"
