CHAPTER 46

　　Stefan

　　I did not know what to do.

　　Sara couldn't accompany Kara and me to see the witch. I knew Kara would feel uncomfortable. She already had enough problems, and she didn't need to fight with Sara today.

　　"I don't think it's a good idea, Sara. She and I have to do this together. It's about her and me."

　　"But I'm your wife, Stefan. I understand the gravity of the situation, but I won't stay here waiting for you. I'm your wife, Stefan. It's time for you to respect me. I promise not to say a word during the trip and to behave. I'll greet Kara as if we were the best of friends."

　　"You can't, I'm sorry," I refused.

　　Sara's smile vanished from her face. She didn't like my answer.

　　"Either I go, or I leave you. It's that simple, Stefan," she warned. Sara looked at me I had never seen before. I could see the manipulation in her eyes.

　　"Excuse me? Are you threatening me?"
