Upon Successful Transmigration - Smaller info dump.

Setting aside the stress of all she just learned. Teagan cautiously turned her attention onto the next folder.

It was Blue and on the front in big bold letters were the words 'UPON SUCCESSFUL ASSIMILATION – 'TEAGAN MORNINGSTAR' MUST READ.'

Again, more cautious than before, she opened to the first page.

Teagan does not know how long she sat and stared at the contents of the latest folder; more specifically, the part of her being 'Princess of Hell' – what she does know is it was only the sound of Charlie waking up to start his day, that snapped her out of it.

As soon as she heard Charlie start to make his way down the stairs, the folders were carefully hidden, and his cup of black coffee was poured before his feet touched the living room floor.

"Morning, kid." He yawned with a stretch, breathing in deeply; something he did each morning he smelled pre-made coffee. "Girls, keep you up again?" He had on his uniform, his tie untied around his neck and the top button undone.

Teagan hummed, handing him his cup before taking a sip of her own. "We were up around 2. They were back in bed by four, but I've been awake since. Finishing up some last-minute things before the move."

Charlie nodded, blowing on his steaming coffee before he took a careful sip. "Nightmares?"

And, to Teagan's concern; she noted Daniela did have nightmares quite often.... "No, nothing like that as far as I know. They were just hungry and clingy."

"As per usual, then." Charlie smirked with a grin hidden behind his mustache. "Especially Brielle; she loves 'Grandpa Cuddles.'"

Teagan couldn't help the fond smile when 'memories' assaulted her of all the times that Charlie would wake up when one of her girls would cry after they all had finally been released from the hospital.

Charlie had not only stayed every night; he would be there before and after work talking to them in their incubators and their tiny hands would hold one of his much larger fingers.

The first few weeks were a roller coaster of crying babies in the middle of the night and trying to get them all on a schedule that worked when they were outnumbered. It usually ended with Daniela breastfeeding and Callie drinking her bottle (which she could hold at only 4 months old).

Charlie would be the one who would feed Brielle, who didn't begrudge her sisters their need of their mother. Her sladké dievča was more than happy to go with Charlie. By the time Teagan finally got the other two to sleep, she would find Charlie and Brielle, asleep in his favorite chair. {sweet girl}

Charlie would be passed out with a bottle in one hand and his other protectively cradling Brielle either against his chest or curled into his side while she snored away. Usually, Teagan didn't have the heart to disturb them. "Yeah, she really does..."

"I'll be home early today." He broke Teagan out of her trip down 'memory' lane. "The truck will probably arrive long before I do but the boys down at the reservation will be here around -"

- four." Teagan finished for him, knowing how stressful this had been for him. She motioned for him to turn around and helped him into his Sherrif's Jacket, straightening his badge when he gave her a bashful but thankful smile. "The truck will arrive at two and the boys at the reservation will arrive at four. With all the help we're hoping to be done by 7 where we will go down to La Push for a final 'bon voyage' bonfire."

"I suppose I've mentioned it already?" Teagan found how awkward Charlie could be unnecessarily heart-warming. He was such a good man; even his light was pure and white, only the smallest hint of a black 'blob' in the center. He was rare and she wanted to preserve his 'light' for as long as she could.

"Only once or twice." She teased with a grin, fastening his tie, which he could never seem to do correctly. Before she started doing it for him; he would wear a clip-on.

"I just want everything to go smoothly." He sighed while she handed him his belt and gun holster. "We've had enough stress these last two years to last a lifetime."

And though Teagan knew her stress had not even begun; she could not find it in her to resent the 'peace' moving to Alaska would provide him, if only as long as the Cullens did not show their faces.

"Everything will be fine, Dad. The girls are more than exited for a road-trip with their 'pop-pop'-" Charlie snorted at the nickname that Daniela had taken to calling him. She could not seem to say Grandpa, but 'pop-pop' was somehow easy for her. "- The house is ready and waiting and your new 'Sheriff Deputy' will be at our house around 11 on Thursday to give you a tour of the town and meet the family."

"'Sheriff Deputy'." Charlie mumbled... "It all sounds so... formal."

"You're a big deal, Dad." Teagan 'tsked', tucking in his collar. She didn't miss the affectionate way he watched her as she fussed over him. "You just don't give yourself enough credit."

"See you after work, kid." He whispered before he dropped a kiss onto her forehead; his mustache tickling her a bit. She returned to her seat at the table, taking another sip of her coffee as he made his way toward the door.

He paused with his hand on the knob. "Teagan?"

"Yes, Dad?" Curious emerald clashed with cautiously confused brown.

Scratching at his slight stubble, Charlie sighed. "I honestly can't tell you half of the things that those boys say, but one thing they've taken to calling Billy and I... I was wondering if you happened to know what it means.

Teagan raised a curious eyebrow and tilted her head.

"What is a … 'DILF'?

Eyes widening comically, Teagan pursed her lips. "I'm not touching that one..." She whispered more to herself than to him. "Uh - Who... Who was calling you that?"

"Embry; though more Billy than me... why, is it bad?"

Teagan shook her head with a wide grin "No...no, not bad. When you stop at the diner; ask Cora. I'm sure she'll be happy to tell you."

With a slightly suspicious look on his face at how amused her grin was; Charlie left for work.

Teagan couldn't stop herself from laughing sardonically, imaging the look on Embry's face if he realized that one of those 'Daddies he wanted to fuck' was actually his birth father.
