Archenemies clash!

The matches passed and before anyone knew it, it was the fifth and the last day of COCO where the last two contestants would battle in the finals.

Of course, I was in the finals along with Leyn. He had won all his matches just like the one with Marco. I had already gotten +70 marks for the exams and I could get +80 if I won, I could forfeit at any moment but I decided to take this battle.

'For some reason... I hate Leyn and I'm sure he has the same feelings.' my mind rang.

I was sure that this clash wouldn't be our last.

I looked at my stat panel and I was kinda tempted to use time and space in the fight.

"Let's do this!"

I ran into the hallway that led to the arena and I waited for my name, as soon as I heard it I ran out.

"CONTESTANT NICK! A COMMONER THAT HAS SHOWN UP GREAT STRENGTH DESPITE HIS BACKGROUND! THIS IS A FIGHT AGAINST THE STRONGEST COMMONER VERSUS THE STRONGEST NOBLE!!!"

"BEGIN!!!"

I glared at Leyn through my mask and I dashed forward with my sword, however I wasn't going in a straight line, I zig zagged around the platform and I struck from his left side.

He didn't do the usual attack from before, this time he brought out his daggers and parried my blow. I only had one sword and while it was busy he struck with his second dagger and I parried it with my palm.

He raised an eyebrow and in that little time, I jumped back to give a little space and this time he attacked me with his two daggers. His aura flared up trying to devour me, it was a purple colour.

I flared my aura too and within seconds there was a clear winner, mine pushed his back while we were constantly attacking each other with our weapons.

To the audience they could only see gold lightening against purple lightening sparks. The speed at which Leyn and I was so fast. I didn't even know we were moving that fast.

"Tsk, you're really annoying." I told Leyn.

[Water Illusion Slash]

I slashed at Leyn and this time his swords multipled into 10 but he dodged. I made them hover behind him and he made them attack Leyn who was zig zagging to attack me.

As the swords met Leyn used his dagger to attack them but they went through the "swords".

That was enough time for me to activate [Pierce Bullet]. It was a skill that allowed me to make a compressed water ball the size of of an average stone to lock on to a target and pierce them. It worked like a gun with the tip of the sword as the barrel. The bullet wouldn't disappear until it hit the target.

I smirked devilishly but it was wiped off my face when I saw what happened next.

I didn't notice it because of I was preparing the [Pierce Bullet] but the half the platform was covered in a strange grey shadow and out if it rose 50 monsters, each of them excluding the aura of rank 9s!

Even though I was rank 10, this would be a little too difficult.

"Tsk."

I clicked my tongue as I saw my [Pierce Bullet] get devoured by a bear monster and Leyn had covered himself in a shadow cocoon.

There were exactly 34 wolves, 3 bears, 1 mantis and 12 human skeletons?

That's when I noticed that the crowd had gone wild. There were screams and shouts and paparazzi taking photos of the scene.

In my mind there was only one explanation for this magic...

Necromancy.

Leyn was a necromancer with the dark magicial affinity but to me it didn't make sense. An angel having the dark affinity.

"Tsk, this is really troublesome."

The mantis moved first, it's speed was one comparable to a newly ascended rank 10. It reached me in an instant and it's swung it's claw at me. I lifted my sword in an horizontal position and to my horror, it snapped in half.

The mantis' blade claw had almost reached my fave and I caught it in between my palms but the sheer power made my hands shake. The other beasts weren't lazing around, the bears and 10 wolves stayed back to protect Leyn's cocoon while the 12 human skeletons and 24 wolves charged.

"[Silent Flame Palm]!"

My palm went through the mantis before it could react and I brought my hand out leaving the mantis to burn.

A wolf jumped into me and I blocked with my arm. It's teeth only gave me a little surface injury before it died by white consuming flames then I was being attacked from all sides. My arms were covered in white flames and suddenly I got an idea.

When I made the [Silent Flame Palm], the system said it was due to moving very fast enough to create fire. The higher form of fire is lightening so if I move faster will I creat lightening?

"Heh..."

I stood in a spot and I began to rotate and in an instant I resembled a ball of white flames pushing back the advancing enemies and killing a few wolves.

I had been spinning for five minutes non stop and then I saw a spark, a shark of hope. The little spark soon turned bigger and bigger and...

I was covered in white lightening and I jumped into the sky and with a white flash u came down. The impact was huge but there wasn't even a noise, only smoke.

I looked to see that I had killed all the monsters except 2 bears. One had decided to attack me on its own and it died.

"Die!" I shouted to the bears.

White lightening was gathered into a ball in my palm and I landed a clean hit on a bears chest and it didn't survive. While I attacked the first bear, j was attacked by the second one and to my surprise I was hit.

I was flung to the other side of the battle platform and I stood up. That's when it hit me.

I hadn't purified my mana at all and it had started to affect me. I had already done the rotation stage or the purification, I hadn't expelled the dirt.

Using mana for the palm skills had multipled the goo. I sat down and I hit my chest over my core. To everyone in the audience I looked crazy and I even began to vomit some black substance. I had shifted my mask to the side a little to spit it out.

When I was done I wiped my mouth and put on my mask properly and I looked up. Leyn was out of his shadow cocoon and his right hand seemed to be absorbing shadow. It seemed like he wanted to finish it with this attack.

I told activated the [Silent Lightening Palm] and started to gather lightening in my palm. Our versions of the kamehameha.

"Aaaaah!"

"Aaaaah!"

We shouted at the same time as we released the attacks but the something happened...

Ever since that day two years ago, I never forgot the sound of an hidden dungeon break. My vision turned upside down and I could see the arena getting destroyed.

Beasts running about and eating the powerless in the audience however one beast stood out and I appraised it.
