The Twin Silver Devils

As the semifinals drew to a close, Mizuki let loose a displeasured grunt, as he was asked by some of the medical staff to leave the infirmary, as he had to finish the final round of the chunin exams.

Mizuki: "Damnit, I have to go now, see you later Anko."

Saying those words, Mizuki got up and slowly walked away, being sure to be quiet in the infirmary.

Except for around Idate's section, where he made sure to loudly stomp as he walked away.

Immature?

Sure.

Does that mean he will stop doing it?

Nope.

Flashing one last look towards Anko's bed in the infirmary, Mizuki turned and exited the room, a resolution now painting his gaze.

. . . . .

As Mizuki arrived, he wasted no time before leaping over the railing and landing on the arena floor, where Kakashi was already standing, having never left the ring in the first place after his last fight, instead simply resting inside of it.

As the two boys sized one another up before the fight began, whispers began to emminate throughout the remaining genin, as they all realized just how similar the both of them were.

Both of them had silver hair.

Both of them were renowned as prodigal geniuses.

Both of them were trained by legendary jonin.

Both of them had mastery over at least two of the five basic elements, whilst showing some knowledge in how to use a third.

At least superficially, they were almost identical to one another.

Mizuki: "Can't see I'm surprised to see you as my opponent for the final match"

Kakashi: "Likewise"

Doto: "Alright, are you both ready to begin the match"

Mizuki: "Yup"

Kakashi: "Yes"

Doto: "Very well then, may the final match of the chunin exams begin!"

Saying those words, he simply flipped backwards and landed in the gallery, now overlooking the match from a bird's eye view.

As both of them were hesitant to open in a close range engagement, Mizuki due to his lack of confidence in dealing with Kakashi's kenjutsu, and Kakashi due to his ignorance about Mizuki's chakra stealing jutsu.

And so, the both of them instantly began weaving together a series of hand signs in order to perform ninjutsu against one another.

Kakashi and Mizuki: "Doton: Earth and Stone Dragon!"

On their command, the ground below them trembled,as two dragons made of stone emerged from the earth beneath them, which then proceed to orbit one another.

The dragons then fought one another for supremacy, entangled in a titanic clash, in a sight reminiscent of a similar scene between water dragons that would happen years later with Zabuza

As the dragons clashed, the two genin were forced to engage one another in combat to try to tip the scales.

Kakashi went about doing this by trying to destroy Mizuki's dragon, as he quickly weaved a series of hand seals before pointing his blade towards Mizuki's dragon.

Kakashi: "Raiton: False Darkness"

Electricity brimmed along Kakashi's blade, before taking the shape of a spearhead along it's tip, which then launched towards Mizuki's Dragon.

As lightning was earth's natural counter, the jutsu severely weakened his opponent's earth dragon.

However, this was currently the least of Kakashi's concerns.

In contrast to Kakashi, who decided to attack the dragon, Mizuki simply decided to attack Kakashi directly, as he emerged from the ground before delivering an uppercut.

However, unlike Idate previously, Kakashi had the mindfulness to back the hell up as soon as he saw Mizuki emerge from the ground.

A move which he quickly realized had saved him the match, as no sooner as he got out of range, did the Mizuki before him disperse into a large explosion, blowing up Kakashi's dragon in the process.

Using the chaos to his advantage, Mizuki pulled out a specialized kunai he had created before rushing forward to engage Kakashi in a melee, who did the same except with his tanto.

The Kunai which Mizuki used resembled those used by Kabuto in the future, with a curved blade for designated slashing, although Mizuki's was slightly longer.

Along the spine of the blade, Mizuki had engraved a fuinjutsu formula which allowed it to have the same ability as Mizuki, stealing chakra, when he channeled chakra into it

Mizuki and Kakashi began to clash, with no side having any advantage over the other.

Whilst Mizuki was certainly less skilled in kenjutsu compared to Kakashi, his ability to swipe chakra off of him. occasionally allowed him to continue fighting.

Realizing that he was getting nowhere, Mizuki let loose a "tsk" sound beneath his breath as he used a gap created by one of Kakashi's dodges to leap back and quickly form a series of hand signs, ready to bombard Kakashi from a range.

Mizuki: "Doton: Earth Flow Release"

The ground beneath Kakashi turned to a raging tide of mud, which began to sweep him off his feet and toward the wall.

Kakashi, however, was able to counter this, by infusing lightning nature chakra into his feet and digging in his heels, stopping himself from "falling" even further.

Mizuki: "Doton: Earth Dragon Bullet!"

A dragon head emerged from Mizuki's end of the river, which quickly shot out a series of mud bullets.

Seeing these Earth bullets approaching at a rapid speed, Kakashi completed a jutsu of his own to counter them, again, using lightning style.

Kakashi: "Raiton: Thunder"

Several small spark like currents traveled out of Kakashi's wrist, all seeking to intercept Mizuki's earth bullets.

Mizuki then quickly completed another series of hand seals in order to complete the final jutsu in the combo.

Mizuki: "Katon: Fire Dragon Bullets!"

Mizuki then used flame chakra in order to ignite the previously mentioned earth bullets, dramatically increasing their damage output.

Still though, they were still made of earth at heart, and as such, Kakashi's counter attack, whilst not being as effective as he hoped for it to be, still weakened the projectiles enough so that he could slash the remaining ones away with little to no effort.

By this point, the river had stopped, and Kakashi was able escape the mud bed and onto dry land, where Mizuki was now standing across from him.

Mizuki: "Hate to sound like an arrogant young master, but we done with the kiddy stuff yet?"

Kakashi also faced down Mizuki, a slight smirk adorning his face which was visible through his mask.

Kakashi: "What a coincidence, I was about to say the same thing.."

Kakashi:"It's time to get serious..."
