Joining the System

(Scarlett) "The leaders agreed to meet with you tomorrow, is that fine?"

Xia grinned. "Yes that's fine" he replied as if expecting the answer.

A skinny man then stepped forward and asked in a slightly quiet voice as if he was a child asking his parents for something.

(Timothy) "U-uh miss you said there was a way to join the system right? Can we um still join…?"

Everyone else seemed to nod in agreement. The sudden appearance of Xia had indeed thrown them off, but now their attention was back on the system.

Xia then telepathically messaged Emilia "You are trying to stay lowkey right?"

He then saw her nodding in response, fear evident on her face.

"That's fine I don't mind, you can do whatever you want, I have no wish to force you to comply with me. However, I do hope you could help me on a few occasions with that skill of yours…"

Emilia pondered for a moment but turned to meet Xia's eyes and again nodded in agreement.

"Ok, that's good. For now, can you produce me a system contract and a grimoire for Universal Language X"

While Emilia was opening the portal to the system's database (library dimension), Xia telepathically messaged Harley to come to meet him right now.

"Harley come meet me at my location."

"Coming Dad!"

While waiting Xia took the contract from Emilia and read over it.

Xia didn't mind the humans from earth having access to the system but he wanted to reduce their access and usage of it.

Xia's goal was to unite the two planets through trade and to prosper together. Unfortunately, the world with access to the system had many advantages over one that relied on technology.

For example, a person with a high leveled stealth skill could easily rob banks or assassinate people. People with storage abilities could easily steal items and the police would never be able to find any evidence.

Basically, crime would become immensely easier to perform with access to the system. Countries would also start to train soldiers with the system and wage wars on each other.

Xia had come up with a solution to this problem. Xia summoned a purple-colored card and then added it with the contract that Emilia summoned and then added some extra spells to it.

Before he would have to spend deity credits to perform these tasks but since he is now a God the system handles it all for him.

[Eden Purple Card]

[A low-level access card to the country, Astral. It was created by the God of this world, Xia. The card can only be used by the humans of Earth. This item cannot be traded with others once soul-bound.]

[System Access(Asta)] Grants access to the system while on the planet Astra, access to the system is disabled when the user leaves Astra. The system can be re-enabled when the user returns to Astra and no progress will be lost.

During the 'disabled' state, skills and stats will be deducted except vitality stat (this is because if a user's vitality was reduced below their current age then they would die.)

[Language translation] Will automatically translate any language that the user hears.

[Indestructable] Item cannot be destroyed

[Soul Bound] Item is bound to the soul of the user, if the user is killed then the card will self destruct

[Safe Travel] Monsters will avoid the user and will not attack unless provoked. Can be toggled on and off.

Xia smiled at his new creation. This new type of card would be ranked the same as a white card in terms of status.

The card ratings go as follows: White/Purple -> Green -> Blue -> Black -> Gold.

He also decided to add the [System Access(Asta)] skill to all the other cards except the gold card.

The Grand Council and the royals of his country may make trips over to Earth in the future and he didn't want any of them being assassinated or held captive and forced to leak national secrets, so he decided to let them keep their strength.

Xia then duplicated the purple card many times and stored them in his inventory. He took eight out and handed them to all the people present.

Scarlett and her team looked at the purple cards with confusion. It looked similar to a credit card but purple in color.

(Xia) "Place a drop of blood on the card, and you will join the system"

Scarlett felt a cold sweat run down her back. This felt super similar to signing a contract with a devil. For safety reasons, she waited for someone else to do it first.

Brad didn't wait for a second as he excitedly slit his finger with his dagger and let the blood pour onto the card. The card glowed for a moment and Brad wiped the blood off its surface.

On the card in golden writing was his name. It looked really good with the purple background.

Brad then felt a surge of information and warmth. His muscles bulged with newfound vitality. His aged face seemed to revert a few years.

He then excitedly shouted, "Status!"

He then jumped back a bit in shock as a blue window appeared in his vision.

(Brad) "HOLY SHIT, IT WORKED! GUYS I CAN SEE A WINDOW JUST LIKE A VIDEO GAME! HAHAHAH"

His crazed laughing scared everyone a bit and questioned if he had become a demon.

(Brad) "Man this is amazing! I'm this strong and only level 1? HAHAHA the peak of martial arts is still far away!"

(Scarlett) "Brad are you ok? Did it work?"

Brad stopped checking out his muscles and laughing and turned towards his team leader. He then gave the biggest grin Scarlett had ever seen.

(Brad) "It sure did boss! Give it a go and let's compare stats."

Scarlett had no idea what 'stats' were but if Brad gave the go-ahead then she decided to give it a try.

She did the same thing as brad and her name appeared on the card. Scarlett's body didn't change much, she was already a stunning beauty in her early 30's.

"Status!"

They then all excitedly compared their stats.

(Scarlett) "Guys Brad's INT is only 3, does he have a muscle for a brain! Hahahahahahha"

For the first time, Scarlett really couldn't stay professional. Finding out her long-time colleague in MI6 was as dumb as a rock was really too funny.

Brad went red with embarrassment.

(Brad) "Shut up Scarlett, you're just jealous of my muscles! Phew! Puny Only 14 strength? I could crush you like an egg!"

The harmonious atmosphere was paused for a moment when a little girl suddenly entered the room.

(Harley) "Father, you called?" Harley asked with a confused expression.

(Xia) "Yes come with us Harley, we are going back through that portal you went through last time."

(Harley) "Ohhhh that fun new place? I smelled some really nice food there! Ooo and they also had all these cool artifacts that I had never heard of before! My new subordinate Caitlyn has been telling me about all these bizarre things and I was about to head back there myself!"

(Xia) "Oh really? Well, we just need to have a quick meeting and then you can go explore as much as you want!"

(Harley) "Ok! Haha, this is going to be awesome. Hey, should I make a social media account and take pictures of all the food I'm going to eat?"

Xia ignored his daughters rambling and teleported himself, Harley, and Scarlett's team back to where the portal was located.

Emilia let out a sigh of relief. Finally, she could get back to reading without all these annoying people in her house!
