As the cave troll was struggling to deal with the poison that was coursing through its body and doing all it could to suppress the poison before it had a chance to reach its vital organs, the cave alligator decided to take advantage of this godsend opportunity to launch forward and violently bite into the exposed neck of the cave troll-
Roooar!
Resulting in the already struggling cave troll letting out a painful roar as it tried to forcibly pull the cave alligator off its body to no avail. Even if it might have been possible before, the poison had already managed to weaken it enough that it was no longer able to fight equally with the cave alligator.
Ptsh~
Only a few seconds later, blood splattered all over the place as the cave alligator managed to successfully tear off a large part of the cave troll's neck. Almost separating its head from the rest of its body.
Bang!
However, even with most of its neck missing the cave troll only ended up falling stumbling back for a few steps before stabilizing itself. Even with over half of its neck now missing, the cave troll's terrifying recovery abilities still managed to keep it alive after such a gruesome injury. Making Scaly hidden not too far away seriously doubt her decision to go for the cave troll instead of the cave alligator.
Although she wanted to go for the killing blow on the cave troll instead of the cave alligator because it was by far the strongest looking of the two if one didn't consider its nonexistent poison resistance, she now began to wonder if she would even be able to finish off the cave troll with her current strength.
After all, if it could survive losing over half of its neck, she seriously doubted that it would die from having a few holes pierced through it by her water magic…
Hm? If the water magic doesn't look like it will work, why don't I try out the new skill I got?
As she was thinking about whether or not to go forward with her plan to try and land the final blow on the cave troll, Scaly suddenly remembered the claw strike skill that she had just received. Not wasting a single second before getting herself comfortable under the cover of a few rocks before pulling out the description of the claw strike skill while she waited for the cave troll and the cave alligator to weaken enough for her to have the chance at approaching without ending up being discovered.
[Claw Strike lvl 1]: The fundamental ability of any creature belonging to the dragon bloodline, the claw strike skill draws upon the strength of the dragon blood inside the body to strengthen the sharpness and power of your deadly dragon claws. The higher level the [Dragon Bloodline] skill is, the stronger the claw strike will be.
Deadly dragon claws…?
Reading through the description while remaining hidden just outside the area affected by the poisonous mist, Scaly could not help looking down at her own claws that could only be described as cute looking.
For some reason, she felt an unknown sense of embarrassment when thinking of how the skill description had described her claws as deadly, while at the same time feeling happy at how it had described them as dragon claws…
Boom-!
As Scaly was left in a troubled state of mind wondering whether to feel embarrassed or happy at the description of her claws, the battle between the cave troll and the cave alligator seemed to have reached the last stretch.
Both the cave alligator and the cave troll already fighting for every breath of air, as both of them were clearly in a state of extreme exhaustion. Looking like they could collapse at any moment.
Whoosh~!
Whoosh~!
Whoosh~!
Feeling like this would be the best possible opportunity to strike, a few ambitious monsters rushed forward without caring about the poisonous mist. Understanding very well that the poison mist had weakened enough to allow them a short time of breathing room without being affected by the poison.
Even if they knew that this would still result in death if they didn't escape in time, they simply couldn't let go of the opportunity to increase their own strength to a level similar to the current cave troll and cave alligator. Especially so after having personally witnessed just how easily they had dealt with other monsters around their own level.
ROOOOOAR-!
However, much like the first group of monsters who had tried to launch a sneak attack on the two powerful monsters, this group didn't fare much better as the cave troll and cave alligator once again teamed up to deal with them.
Nonetheless, the time it took for them to deal with this group of monsters far exceed the first group… And two of the monsters even managed to escape from the poison mist without being killed!
It's time…
Seeing how hard it was for the two to deal with the group of monsters, Scaly instantly understood that her chance to strike was near… And similar to her, the surrounding monsters hidden all around the battlefield between the cave troll and cave alligator understood that the two had finally weakened to the point that they could be taken down by them.
Swish-!
Not even a second after the two monsters had hidden somewhere outside the poison mist to recover, a new monster appeared before slowly beginning to approach the cave troll and the cave alligator without caring about either of them noticing its presence. Making it awfully clear that it thought that it would be able to escape in case any of the two decided to try and target it-
Whoosh~!
Whoosh~!
Whoosh~!
Not long after, more and more monsters appeared all around the two weakened monsters. All of them showing up with the exact same intention. Kill one of the two powerful monsters and evolve into a powerful monster themselves!
