DEVELOPMENT OF UNMANNED VEHICLES FOR THE PROCESS OF SPACE COLONIZATION AND MINING
To do this, I believe one key component is the ability to develop unmanned vehicles that can be controlled from Earth. This will require the launching of a number of satellites into orbit around the Earth and Moon that will act as signal boosters. Each satellite will contain basic settings adjusted to a model of a particular unmanned space vehicle.
The satellites will act as boosters for signal transmissions from the Earth allowing the unmanned vehicles to be controlled from Space Agencies on Earth.
These satellites can also be controlled via similar means so that instead of simply drifting in orbit, they can be controlled or moved consciously. This will allow for the development of satellites that can be situated near asteroids that are key to Mining Operations further increasing the range unmanned vehicles for mining or construction/terraforming type vehicles can traverse.
The Satellites orbiting the Earth or moon will merely act as signal boosters. Satellites sent further into space will contain the ability to boost signals as well as mobility settings allowing them to be controlled via signals transmitted from the Earth and boosted by satellites in orbit. They will also contain the ability to further boost signals for transmission into deeper space hence resulting in a relay type of satellite formation with regards to boosted signals.
This implies that Satellites sent into deeper space will be treated as unmanned vehicles that can be controlled from Earth while simultaneously serving as boosters for unmanned vehicles for other purposes sent into space.
