The Rankers Guild!?

Didn't matter how many arrows.

How many times link managed to cut the beasts with his knife.

Everything was in vain. They either managed to dodge easily or the received injury was an inconvenience at best.

The male hell bear was the least injured one, the cut in his neck had already stopped bleeding, traces of dried blood on its fur.

The female hell bear had the most injuries. Missing an arm, she wasn't able to move properly which have led to her failure at dodging in time most of Links attacks, but sadly they were irrelevant, other than the missing paw which has stopped bleeding and the wound slowly but noticeably healing, It had more cuts and blood on its fur than its partner.

Link on the other hand, is drenched in blood. Big cuts on his chest, face, arms and legs.

He was standing in front of the hell bears, between them and his father with a determined look on his face.

The only reason he was still capable of standing is that the monsters seem to be having their fun with him, relenting to grab most opportunities to end him.

It was no longer a fight.

Link had become their plaything, a toy that they seemed to slowly lose interest in. Their attacks slowly become more and more powerful and dangerous, aiming at links vitals.

After he ducked at the last second before some sharp claws caressed his face. link lost his balance.

Falling on his side then struggling to get back up as fast as he could.

"Fuck, no matter how i attack, trick or flank these things they seem to be always able to figure it out. How intelligent are they?" Link thought to himself, letting out a sigh "I didn't do anything in this life, i can't let it end like this"

Even with all the anger and desperation he was feeling, there was nothing he could do but struggle.

With a quick swing from the male bear's long and bloody claws. Link suffered a deep wound in his leg, revealing the bone.

He let out a shriek of pain, collapsing to the floor. Fainting..

The hell bears looked disappointed, especially the male bear, he let out a low annoyed roar.

The male hell bear approached Link slowly, opening his mouth, revealing the hell inside, with no effort at all, It bit into his right arm hard enough to break the bone and tear off half of it.

While chewing, the male hell bear let out a small sound, like it was reassuring its partner and inviting her to join him.

The female hell bear got closer, taking another bite from Link's arm, leaving nothing behind.

Links right arm was gone.

They sat there, slowly chewing on their piece.

Suddenly, Link's eyes opened. A sinister grin appearing on his face.

Since the female hell bear swung him around, he lost all feeling in his right arm, rendering it useless.

It was a sacrifice he was willing to make, as long as he brought the things closer to him. A risky move.

"Got you now, fuckers." Link muttered, charging all his remaining mana into his left arm with the knife, slashing at the beasts as his last stand.

The bears were too focused on their food, that they realized at the last moment, The female hell bear dropped whatever squashed meat was in its mouth, attempting to move.

The male hell bear was too fast for his size, dodging the knife at the last second. jumping backwards and landing on all fours.

It let out a sound, similar to laughing. It puffed its chest and stood on its hind legs, bragging..

That's when something bumped into its leg. something round and wet.

Upon landing its eyes on it, the hell bear let out a terrifying roar. The traces of anger and sadness obvious to all that heard it.

The head of the female hell bear was rolling on the ground. Its body lifelessly lying on the ground, shaking, blood squirting out of its empty neck.

"Fuck you..." muttered link "I can die now." Losing his consciousness at the last word.

The hell bear screamed, bearing its teeth. Its face contorted into something hideous.

It jumped on Link's body without a second thought, bearing everything it can use to tear him apart.

Its eyes were completely red, leaving no other traces behind. The anger of losing its one and only partner has sent it into a Berserker mode.

WOSH!

An arrow flew towards the hell bear, too lost in its rage to notice or hear anything. Even if it did, the creature was in mid air, unable to dodge the surprise attack.

The arrow hit its neck, petrouding from the other side, making it lose its balance and falling to the side.

A barrage of magic spells of different elements headed its way. From water balls to stone bullets and spikes.

The hell bear didn't pay attention to any of those attacks, unable to feel pain, having its eyes focused only on Link's unconscious body.

It was numb to everything. The first arrow threw it off balance, but it tried to go at him again ending up being stopped once more.

Sounds of people screaming was on its right, but the result was the same. It ignored them.

Arrows, magic, swords, pitchforks, shovels and even clubs.

The attacks were relentless, but the bear always got back up or waved some of the attacks off and headed towards Link.

Succeeding.

The hell bear bit into Link's waist. All it needed was one squeeze and it could take the life of this dishonorable human that killed its partner.

Though this time, it was unsuccessful.

A heavy impact hit the thing from its side, making it go limp. losing its grip on the body and flying a few meters away.

Link's body hit the ground, making blood splatter everywhere.

A woman stood in its place. She was 5 foot 5, white long hair, long ears, a face even gods envy with sapphire eyes and a robe.

The robe was long, covering her whole body to the kneecaps, though failing to hide her figure very well. it was black in color with an emblem on the chest area..
