Fire Rain

The Bandits stood in front of Link's home, speaking with Rao which is partly seen at the door.

"You killed the Hell Bears in our forest. I don't know how lucky you got but they belong to us Rao, hurry up, or you want a repeat of last time?" The group leader spoke.

"Since when does the forest belong to you? We risked our lives and nearly died, plus we already paid the protection fee." Said Rao, clenching his fist.

"Hahaha. You think we're negotiating?" the Leader said, putting his hand on the handle of his machete.

"I think you're negotiating with the wrong person" Someone approached the group of bandits from behind.

Everyone looked over, Seeing Link standing there with Saya, Matias, Samuel and the twins.

Nina hid behind Link, clenching his shirt. While Nana hid behind Samuel, hiding her face behind his back, peeking at the group.

Saya looked at Link, wondering what he was going to do.

"You're the brat that was half dead right?" One bandit from the group spoke, he wielded a Dagger "Tell us then, Who should we be negotiating with?" a smirk was on his face.

Link smiled, speaking in a polite manner "We were planning on gifting the fur of the Bears to Master Matias, as an apology for our previous incident."

The people standing next to Link all looked at him, each having a different expression.

"What the hell Link. It's obvious what you're trying to do" Samuel, Nina and Nana thought the same thing, except Saya, which closed her eyes, Knowing exactly what's about to happen.

"Haha, That's the attitude. I forgive you then, you should have been respectful from the start" Matias laughed, Proud with the change in Link's attitude, he was angry at how high and mighty link was acting, and how much his master had complimented him, but now he was asking for forgiveness which clouded his vision.

"By the great mother, Either Link knew he was too arrogant to see beyond his nose or he was taking a chance." Saya thought, a little embarrassed.

The bandits stood there, not understanding what the man was talking about.

Link looked at the bandits properly, recognizing them all except for one. He wore the same armor as the rest but seemed a bit meek, standing fat to the left.

"Who is that?" Link thought.

The boy looked like he was 16, blond short hair and blue eyes.

One of the bandits steps forward, a smirk on his face "Ok then, you look rich. How about a contribution. Haha" He raises his weapon, pointing it at Matias.

That's when the bandit noticed Saya, His eyes widened with greed and lust.

"I want this woman, we'll return her after having our fun" Sound of laughter came from the group, except for the Boy who kept trying to distance himself from them.

Seeing 4 kids, a short man in a robe with a beauty seemed like an easy target, they knew they were not from around here so they did not fear the villagers butting in again.

"YES" Link thought "These bastards are hornier than a dog in heat, Keeping the females in our village safe was a challenge. Now they finally messed with the wrong one."

Link's plan was simple, he didn't know that Matias would fall for it that easily, nor was he planning on using HIM.

As much as he liked Saya, she was a goddess, which is why Link thought about getting the Bandits attention on her and she would probably take them out for him.

Accidentally, Link let a small smirk slip before putting on his poker face again. Unfortunately for him, Saya saw it.

"You sneaky brat, you could have just asked me for help you know, i'm practically your sponsor." She whispered to Link, to his surprise she wasn't mad, but amused.

"Alright, which one of you would like to have me first" She used her most seductive voice, making the group nearly melt, Rao turning his head and Link's heart to beat faster. While Samuel and the twins had a confused expression.

But the odd one was Matias, his expression did not show anything but pure horror.

"Shit" He thought, "Poor Bastards."

The bandit group leader with the machete walked forward, pushing them aside "Me, let's go back to our base, you'll have a great time"

All the men in the group's faces were red, unable to wait. They walked away with Saya following them, Link noticed her smiling, but it sent shivers down his spine.

"What the hell?" Rao spoke "We should help her"

"The ones we should be helping are the bandits" Matias mumbled, making all the people present look at him.

*******

"Come on baby, this way." the leader said, bringing his hand closer to Saya trying to touch inappropriately.

"Ok, now that we're out of sight, i only need one of you to lead me to your camp." Said Saya, while looking at the man in his eyes "It won't be you"

*Wosh!

It happened too quickly for them to react. Spikes bolted out of the ground, impaling them, Except one.

The boy flinched, tripping on a branch and falling on his butt, "Ahhh" He let out a small scream, seeing the horrifying scene in front of him.

His group were all hanging, a sharp spike 60 cm wide impaled the men, lifting them up in the air. Three were impaled from the back, while the leader had it worse. The spike went from his groin up to his head, making the tip of it look like a brown birthday hat.

"What's your name?" Saya asked, the same smile on her face.

"P...peter" He stuttered "My name is peter"

"Ok peter, want to lead me to your camp?" She asked.

"Yeah" Peter was scared, he didn't even want to be here but his friend tricked him, and now he can't leave the bandits or he'll be hunted and killed "I will, please don't kill me."

He barely managed to stand back up, shaking all over.

"You're no bandit brat, what the hell are you doing with these trash?" Saya asked, grabbing one of the bandits heads and turning it towards him. After seeing the dead eyes and blood spilling from its mouth, he stepped back, tripping again.

"My god, get it together" Said Saya.

*******

"Are you sure they managed to kill a Hell Bear?" A giant man spoke, his arms bigger than a normal person's thigh, a giant war axe was on the wooden table in front of him "How? Are we in danger from them?"

"No boss, the villagers attacked together, probably catching the creatures off guard." A skinny man in a patched up white robe spoke "We can get a lot of gold for just its fur, i heard the Fire energy sticks to it and keeps it warm"

"Haha, great. Did you send someone to get the corpses yet?" asked the boss.

"Yes Boss, I sent Tom, Ally, Ru, Gil and Peter" The man in the robe answered.

"Peter? Isn't he a new recruit from the next village?" The Boss asked "What if he steals something and escapes?"

"Haha, don't worry Boss. The kid is a wuss, he wouldn't try anything"

******

"What?" Saya screamed while walking "Are you serious?"

"Yes, i didn't know how to get away and the people there scared me" Peter spoke.

"You're pathetic" Saya said, shaking her head "You would rather do what they tell you and harm others than having the courage to leave and run?" She lifted her hand and punched him on the top of his head "You know that i will kill everyone in that place right? Including your friend"

"He's not my friend anymore. I think he just tricked me and brought me here just so he can get the new recruit reward." Said Peter with his head down.

"Whatever, are we there yet?" She asked.

Saya and Peter walked through the forest, passing many marked trees.

"So much for a hidden camp" Saya shakes her head at the bandits' stupidity.

A field of tents and armed bandits walking to and from came to view, laughter resounded from the camp, sounds of swords clashing with each other in a small ring, The bandits were sparing with each other, making bets on who'll win. On the right, a giant tent stood, it was in different color then the rest.

"We're here!" Said Peter, looking at Saya, waiting for whatever she was going to do.

"This is the worst Bandit camp i have ever seen" Said Saya "i'm making this quick, they don't seem like much fun"

As Saya completed her words, she took a couple of steps back, chanting something.

"Ignis a Deo, det tibi servus fidelis omnis potestas uri. Aequaliter Nubila ignis" With a few moves with her hand, Many odd symbols covered their spot, shining in a dim red light.

For some reason, even when the symbols were everywhere, passing in front of both of them, Neither Saya Nor Peter seemed to be able to see them, unflinching.

As she completed her chant, clouds started forming together, covering the sunlight and drowning the world in darkness, it looked like a god was descending into the mortal world.

"What's happening?" Asked Peter, ready to run.

"It's a spell of mine, since there are too many of these guys, i thought i would surprise them" Said Saya.

"Spell?" Said Peter, as he looked up at the sky again, seeing the dark clouds forming, the sun vanishing from view.

Link sat inside his house with Matias, he was acting a bit more respectful, talking non stop.

"...So i went to her and asked her out, she said No straight away, can you believe it? After all I've done for her, she didn't even hesitate. So I …" As he kept rambling, Samuel, Nina and Nana were outside, playing with a ball.

Suddenly, Nana screamed.

Link jumped from his chair, running outside to check on them. Since the incident in the woods, he was on edge, especially that he still couldn't use his system anymore.

"What happened?" He asked. Seeing the three of them looking up. Link followed their gaze, Seeing far away to the North, clouds merging, creating a carpet in the sky.

"What is that?" Asked Samuel, unable to keep his eyes off of the scene.

"Is it a monster?" Nana asked.

"I would like to correct you, but that's one of her titles" Matias spoke from behind them, standing at the house's door.

"Her titles?" Asked Link "Is that Master Saya's doing?"

"Yeah, that's a spell of hers" He looked up "Fire Rain. A level 5 Advanced Spell"

********

"Boss, something weird is happening in the sky" The man in the white patched up robe ran into the giant tent, fear written on his face "The men are panicking"

"Calm down Geralt, show me" The giant man stood up, grabbing his weapon on top of the table. He was around 8 foot in height, being half giant and half human, it was normal, a common race in Soutia"

(If you remember, Soutia is the name of the World Link was in at the moment)

The boss crouched down, leaving the tent. The bandits were scared, looking up at the sky worried. Some even were picking up their things and preparing to leave.

"ORDER" The giant yelled, reaching everyone's ears.

"Boss.."

"Boss."

"Boss. What's happening?"

"Something is wrong with the sky, Boss"

"Boss"

The bandits flocked over to their leader, asking all kinds of questions.

"QUIET" he yelled again "I don't know what is happening, it's probably just a small phenomenon that will pass, do not b…" Before he could finish his sentence, A scream came from one of the bandits standing at the back.

The bandits looked around, looking for the source.

Suddenly, a man was seen holding his head, falling to the ground. As they got closer, they saw a hole the size of a pea on his head, with smoke slowly coming out.

"What the hell?" The giant muttered.

"AHHHH.." Another scream came from the left.

The giant looked over, seeing a man holding his shoulder. Like the other one, as he removed his arm, a hole was in it, smoking slowly as well, But no blood.

"AHHH"

"AAAAAA MY LEG"

"AHHHHHH"

"ARGHH"

"JOHN WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU"

"AHHH"

As the giant man was turning his head left and right, he figured it out, he looked up, seeing dark red drops falling from the sky.

But it was too late, as the rain slowly but steadily started getting heavier, and the screams getting more frequent and louder.

"By the gods" The giant mumbled.
