Ariel!

The Team managed to relax again after the fright Link gave them. They brought out some non-alcoholic drinks and a few snacks as they sat down in a circle.

"What the hell got into you, Ganthor!" Ariel broke the silence, glaring at the dwarf. "I know about your grudge and hatred towards nobles, but Master Mages are not made with money, we all know that" She continued. "We've been stuck at the peak of the Fourth Level for years now"

Ganthor did not respond or argue. He kept looking at the ground, drinking his beverage in silence.

"Give him a break, Ariel" Noah said. "Although i do not agree with the way he acted, he had a reason"

"Reason my ass!" Ariel spoke. "We all have a story and we all went through hell before finally settling down, but for a trained and experienced soldier, he acted like a kid" She sighed. "Even i never react like that when i see a f*cking human!" She muttered the last phrase.

Ariel was a very beautiful Elf. Her blond hair and heavenly face with her smooth skin created the image of what every man dreams of in a woman. Although all Elves were blessed with looks, Ariel had something special about her.

"You f*cking prick, that's the last sandwich, touch it and i'll take out the only eye you got Jhuler" Ariel huffed and puffed.

Her aggressive character and tough personality did not suit her appearance at all. Elves are scholars, educated and a calm race that love nature and animals. They are vegans, which only eat what mother nature provides for them.

"Pass me the container!" Ariel took a bite from her chicken sandwich and sipped from a red beverage.

Her story is a very terrible one. Back in the days before the Demi-Human Laws were set and agreed upon by all the Kings, with the humans being the most common race, they dominated the continent, and as for the Demi-Human races, they were treated terribly by some Humans, not even seeing them as proper people, and this was especially focused on the Elves.

Due to their godly looks, elf slaves were a very desired commodity. Humans did their best and paid ungodly amount of money just so they could capture one, which was not as easy as one might think.

In their forests, the Elves were invincible. It was like Nature itself did its best to protect them from these savages. Battles were common, but very rarely would an elf be captured, which made them very expensive and that led to a lot more adventurers and Soldiers belonging to a few certain Nobles trying their best to capture at least one.

Although slavery was banned and a lot of humans looked down on it, people still couldn't suppress their desire for a perfect and beautiful servant to be at their beck and call.

One day, while a small group of young Elves were out carefully collecting fruits and other herbs, they walked into an ambush. A fight broke out and most Elves either died in battle or managed to barely escape, leaving behind a young 15 year old girl, who unfortunately was caught.

Like a piece of expensive merchandise or a rare animal, she was locked behind a caged cart that walked her around, showing her off to potential buyers. The eyes that kept looking at her up and down, and the hands that pretended to be inspecting if she was in good health made her wish for death.

Eventually though, she was sold to a very important Nobleman belonging to a neighboring Kingdom. He cared naught for her young age as he did what he pleased with her whenever he wanted. With a slave collar around her neck, she couldn't fight back and/or refuse any of his commands. Swallowing her tears as she went through day after day of humiliation and disgust. This kept going for 6 consecutive years.

She attempted to drink poison when she had little freedom, She tried slitting her throat, jumped off of a high balcony, but she could never escape the command issued by the Noble.

"You shall never leave nor kill yourself unless i allow it!" An average looking man spoke to a 15 year old girl. Her collar registered the command and since that moment, her life was in his grasp.

This continued until one a blissful day. The Demi-Human laws became official, and although the Nobleman tried his best to hide her, unwilling to let her go and locking her away in his Castle's Dungeon. The King's Guards heard rumors and stories, which led them to infiltrate and rescue the now 21 year old girl.

The moment she had her freedom, she refused to return to her race feeling dirty and ashamed, even considering ending her own life that she now was finally free from that cursed collar. But her resolve was stronger than that. Especially after going through hell and coming out.

Taking the coins offered by the court, she bought new clothing, burned her old ones, bought some supplies and a storage ring before heading to the neighboring Kingdom.. Rechanguard.

In a new place, she started her life anew. She could even continue her cultivation that now her collar was not there to stop her. She grew slowly but steadily. Training and learning new spells and Martial Art. Until her skills and abilities were noticed by the Army and she received an offer.

This opened a whole new field of experiences to her as she traveled to new places and fought countless battles. Earning one nickname after the other and easily climbing the ranks. And the next thing she knew, 12 years passed just like that. Although her appearance did not change much due to her race's long lifespan.

On one of her missions, she returned to the old forest that she once called home. Finding nothing but rubble and death. This was the first time the Demons started attacking villages and capturing people.

Although she never once missed this place, the moment she saw the scene before her, her heart clenched as she ran in, navigating her way through the familiar small village and going straight towards a house. She moved the wood frantically and managed to open a small area in the house's interior. Her eyes watered as she remembered her parents and guardians, seeing the blood covering the ground.

Long story short, she looked through the house and found a few items that once belonged to her parents, and with them was a bow her mom always carried with her.

This was the same Bow she always carried around, never taking off even when she goes to sleep.
