JUNE

It has been four days, and finally, all the things are normal like how they were, I am glad that Mr. Watson introduced Stella to his mother now I can move on. In addition, I am so grateful to god that Kevin had work that day, we have not talked yet, and I had postponed the meeting until tomorrow.

"Ma'am, the tickets are ready I have sent them to you" Julia spoke on the call. "Good have you sent the file to the client?" I ask her while checking the file for the last time, "Yes ma'am, I, have, and don't worry, l will keep in touch with them" she was typing something on the keyboard.

"Oh, by the way, ma'am are you planning to return after one week?" she asks me, I haven't declared that I will quit after my trip to London, I have so much in my mind that I need a vacation but I also need money. "I will think about, it," I said after taking a deep breath.

After all my work I check my wait's it is almost six and I have agreed to meet my friends at d seven-thirty, I quickly pack my belongings and storm out. It took me fifteen minutes to reach home, my home was abandoned for a year but it was nice when I came here four days ago it was so hard to imagine It's my house luckily I purchased it before otherwise the monthly rent would have fortune. I ran towards my closet, and pick my clothes, Mia has a rule while clubbing you have to wear something great no office suits it irritated me at first but it was not that much of a bother.

I called Kevin before reaching the club it was almost seven-thirty and as I entered the club I saw Kevin in his casuals Black t-shirt with a maroon jacket going with denim jeans, his hair is all set, He saw me in the crowd and wave his hand and I return it with a smile, I don't have to be on my guard tonight it's all about my friends Its been days and it feels kinda awkward but nice in strange ways, I walk towards him and sat next to him.

"It's crowded today," I said while seating to which he nods, "You look great" I felt heat raising on my cheeks but before we could say anything Mia came and yelled she has to yell because the music is so loud "Look who I kidnapped" Kevin and I looked over to see just to find Harper in the pitiful condition I know it's not right to laugh but I laughed at her state to which she gave me a stare and said "June you won't believe what she did" she came towards me after pushing mia.

"What did she do to you," I ask her while patting her on the back, on the other side Mia walked towards Kevin and said "Mr. Cortez it's great seeing you, at least you know fashion" she gave me a judgmental look and spoke again "June never wore anything nice for clubbing I have to force her to wear pretty clothes" To which he replied "Its nice to meet you too and please do call me Kevin, you are June's friend and I hope I can also be a part of you guys" he looks at me while saying with laughing a little after that I introduce him to Harper, She looks at me and grabs her skirt tight for a while but she shook his hand and spoke "It's my first time knowing she has a friend except us" I gave her a look and then Kevin spoke, "Oh I am her best friend from Mexico, we lost touch." He did not say the whole truth.

"So what did Mia do to you?" I ask Harper before she could dig any further into my past, "She threatened me to delete my work" she made a sad face while saying it so I laugh "How come?" I ask while trying to control my laughter, Mia spoke this time "You know me, when I went to pick her she was writing and it was nerve-wracking, so I made a silly excuse, I asked her to get me a water and when she got up and went I rush to her chair and threatened her simple" she said it with an innocent face that I couldn't control my laughter. "Harper gave her an angry look" but I stopped them "Okay, okay you guys stop" Kevin laughed and called the bartender "Hello Guys what can I get you" Kevin look at us and said, "The drinks are on me" and gave him his VIP card and said "four Martini please" but before the bartender turn someone said from behind "Make it five" to which the bartender nodded and went to fix our drinks. We all turned our heads behind us.

"Hello, my babies, did you miss me?" Cat walked even close, we stood up from the seat except for Kevin and we hugged her, it was like old times, but the difference is she colored her hair in lavender and she looks more mature in it. Those who were near us gave us a judgmental look but soon they turn to what they were doing.

"Here!" The bartender came and gave Harper a huge smile and personally gave her the glass, we all look at each other and laughed. Cat finally stop laughing and sat next to Harper and whisper "Well Har, you got yourself a date now." Harper hit Cat's hand and said, "Don't you ever think that, you can't make me date him just so you can have free drinks" she hissed

Mia laughed before taking a sip and said "It was worth a shot" Cat and I nodded in return still laughing, "you guys are the worst" Harper replied and drank the drink in one go. "Wow, wow slow down girl" I pat her shoulder with one hand.

We all had fun and yeah some fans of Cat noticed her, came to us and interrupted us for a long time until Kevin stood up and ask them to stop. Well, we know how this is going to end someone will ask Cat to sing before we leave the club and we made a bet on that.
