Chapter 12.Princess Aeinshia is the next Empress

In the Emperor's chambers:

After the announcement, Prince Evan followed his father into his chambers as he was instructed to visit.Evan saw his father. Alexander was sitting on the middle of the bed while reading a book. It's regarding war strategies which piqued his interest before few days. From then on whenever he is free he got used to reading the book.

Prince Evan knocked at the door diverting his fathers attention from book to him. "Why don't you just come in instead of standing at the door? ", Alexander wondered seeing his son's formal attitude to him.

They say olden days are golden days. That phrase really suited his situation now. This father and son duo used to be very close and playful. But as the Prince got older his behavior turned into more and more formal. The king now really misses his old days with his son. He want his son to become young again and be that innocent kid who used to mention every small detail about his day. Young Evan always followed Alexander. He used to be cheerful back then like his mother. But his mothers death changed everything.

Soon his behaviour changed and day by day it felt he is getting distant from others. Because of his duties as an emperor Alexander didn't find time to take care of his young son who was already in dismay for losing his mother which made their relationship even more distant.

Young Evan never voiced his feelings nor sadness but, Alexander know's his mistake. It was that time which resulted his son's aloof behavior now. Only if Evan got a little care.But nothing can be done now thinking about it. So from then Alexander decided to make his son's every wish to fulfill and getting him married to Aeinshia was his first step proving his love for his son.

Alexander patted at his side indicating his son to take the seat. Prince Evan immediately flopped beside his father. Though Evan never said it out he loves to spend time with his father. Of course, no child can resist spending time with their parents.

"Sorry for not taking your consent in this marriage", Alexander said though he knows his son's feelings for Aeinshia.Well , he thought since his son wants to hide his feelings it will be correct only if he pretend not seeing them.

" My opinion doesn't matter ", Evan replied curtly as though he was not even for the slightest bit interested into marriage yet, his eyes betrayed him. He was about to go crazy from happiness.

Alexander was amused seeing his son's acting skills. Sure his acting skills could surpass an stage actor.

"I hope you will cherish her and love her with all your heart", Alexander stated his true opinion giving his blessings for the marriage. He knows Evan's feelings for Aienshia so, its not a big deal for his son but, never did he ever mentioned about this topic in front of Aeinshia. He should have asked her before making such huge decision in her life. But it was past the time for any regrets and he really doesn't want to lose such a brilliant daughter-in-law who could become a great mother for this empire. So he could only wish for his son to make her fall in love.

" That's my responsibility ". Evan immediately scooted off the ground and turned to face his father, ''Then I shall take my leave".

Both the son and father duo nodded at each other. Evan immediately left the room and went into his chambers. He thought even if he stayed one more second he might break his act and might burst his feelings in front of his father.

"That was cool. I hope he didn't see through me", he said out thinking no one is present in his room.

" who would see what? ", Peter questioned, having a queer at this whole situation. Evan's eyes widened in shock hearing his friend's voice suddenly.

His voice stuttered, " Nothing... Did you finish your work? ", Evan simply avoided Peter's question and tried to divert his attention. But it's not that easy to lure Peter. He stayed with Evan for his entire life and never did he saw him this happy except while he saw him writing a letter to someone.

Well, he didn't expect Prince Evan to write letter to someone wearing a sweet smile on his face. He wondered who might be that person. And now again, this is the second time he saw him this happy as if Evan was on cloud nine.

'Making him king might have damaged his circuits'. Thinking that he didn't disturb Evan.

It's not like Evan should act even in front of Peter. It's just out of habit to cover his emotions . But what he didn't know was he was openly displaying his emotions.

"Peter, tell the chef to make genoise cake and strawberry cake tomorrow",he ordered remembering Aeinshia's favorite snacks when his father told it at the first family gathering with her. At that time he looked indifferent as if he didn't mind his surroundings. But he was actually remembering her favorites to actually surprise her in future. Not to mention, Aeinshia was not the type into gold or diamonds because she think she already had enough. But when it comes to food she is a born appetizer.

"But... you never liked sweets right? ".Another question from Peter. He might be a question paper in his past life to ask these many questions.

" Can't you do one thing without questioning back? ", Evan sighed at his friends behavior. Peter nodded as if he understood something leaving Evan alone in his room.

Prince Evan:

Finally... finally it's going to happen. Me and Aeinshia are getting together. I hope she grows fast and marries me. I hope she was happy with our marriage announcement. I hope she too had feelings for me.

I thought I should try hard to make her fall for me and it will be hard to arrange her into marrying me but, my fathers single word made the whole situation change in one minute. Everything was going smoothly but why do I feel like something was wrong. Did my father asked her's opinion? Is she willing to marry me? Man!!!! lots of questions filling my elated heart with doubts. But I could only wish for one thing. Me and her being together forever.
