Alex had already been inside the promotion quest for 16 days, or 2 days in the real world. Of course, he had logged out to get food and water; however, other than that, he's been in the game. During these 16 days, he had fully cleared the outer and most of the inner area of the graveyard, and he had finally stepped into the Transition Realm. Alex looked at the spirit that was dissolving in front of him and watched the grace crumble. That was the last grave in the inner area. Alex looked around to see if anything would happen when he completely finished the inner area. However, nothing happened. He then picked up the gold coins and looked at his completion rate.

[ Completion: 72% ]

Alex looked at the area around him, then looked at the night sky. He had noticed this a few days ago, but now that the only graves were the three in the core area, the once night sky that was filled with thousands of stars of different colors and sizes now only had three. They were the three largest stars, yet to Alex, they looked even more beautiful. It seemed that without the extra stars' disruption, they were able to shine even brighter. Alex began to walk toward the core area with his sword in his hand. The core area was a little hill, and Alex noticed that instead of a grave in the ground, it was much more luxurious, with a statue on each side of the hill. The statues depicted their hero's appearance, but none of them had a weapon. When he walked to the nearest statue of himself, he noticed two daggers inside the statue, displayed inside a glass container. However, Alex doubted he could destroy the glass. When he walked up to the glass and touched it, the familiar system notification appeared with a few added additions.

[ The Hero, Darmuth.

Background information:

A man born into poverty and suffering, he climbed the staircase of strength until he was struck down by the deities of old for committing an unforgivable crime.

Completion rate: 10%

Rewards: Vampiric Daggers ( Epic ) or Skill Child of the Night]

Alex assumed that the Vampiric Daggers were the daggers displayed by the statue. However, Alex didn't immediately challenge him; instead, he went to the next statue. The next statue was a petite woman with a mage's robe and hat. The item that was displayed inside the glass container was a simple wooden staff. Alex touched the glass display and looked at the system notification.

[ The Hero, Hela

Background Information:

A royal and heir to the throne, she grew up with immense resources and was able to research her passion: Magic. Unfortunately, she sacrificed herself to protect her husband and died from the deities of old's wrath.

Completion: 8%

Rewards: Staff of Life ( Epic ) or Skill Imagination ]

The last statue was a young man that wore light armor. He was smiling, but Alex could notice his eyes were of a naive young child. The item inside the glass display was a great sword. The great sword had a pure white blade with golden inscriptions and a blue handle. When he touched the glass display and looked at the system message that appeared.

[ The Hero, Theo

Background Information:

A man born into peaceful times and a peaceful era. He trained his whole life inside the small village he was born in. He was a master of battle and close combat. When this era of peacefulness was destroyed by an ancient devil, he made it his mission to destroy this evil. He died under the regretful and helpless gazes of the ancient deities.

Completion: 10%

Rewards: Sword of Courage ( Epic ) or Skill Vanquish ]

Alex wanted to at least challenge one of them, but he wasn't sure which one. From the weapons inside the displays, he guessed each hero represented a basic class: a warrior, assassin, and mage. Alex didn't feel much need for the assassin skill or item. While he wasn't sure what the mage's or warrior's skill would do, he felt that he should play to his strengths. Alex didn't even consider the items, as he had more ways to gain epic items, and the skills would be more important. Alex walked up to Hela's statue and accepted the challenge. Hela appeared in front of him, looked at Alex, and said,

"I see you're the one challenging me. Well, let's get started."

Alex got into a battle-ready stance and was about to attack when Hela waved her arms, then said,

"Wait! Wait! Wait! We aren't going to fight. I swear! Why did you even pick my statue if you're so battle-crazy! You should have gone to that brute, Theo!"

Alex looked at Hela, confused, and before he could ask anything, she interrupted him.

"My test is extremely simple! All I need is to find your elemental affinities, and I'll decide from there. If I feel you could amount to a little of my greatness, then you would pass; if not, you fail."

"Well, alright."

Alex felt that arguing with this woman would be annoying. He already noticed how she puffed out her chest when she was talking about herself. He knew that she was most likely proud, and it's easier to just agree with them than to argue. Hela looked pleased with his answer and began to laugh while puffing out her chest. Alex just shook his head and waited for her to begin. Hela looked at him seriously and said,

"What are you?"

"What do you mean? Also, isn't that a little rude?"

"You don't make any sense! When someone is born, their affinities get fixed. However, your affinities seem to be increasing. While it's increasing at a snail's pace, it's still increasing. I've never seen anyone like this, not even those egotistical ancient deities were like this. Not even those proud dragons!"

Alex didn't know what to say; he didn't know his affinities were increasing. However, he knew that it wasn't natural.

"Is this bad? Could it be bad?" Alex asked Hela with a slightly worried tone. She replied to him with curiosity,

"I'm not sure, however, it should be a positive. Of course, there is always the possibility of you assimilating with nature or exploding. Well, you've passed my test. What reward would you like?"

"I'll have the skill."

"Good choice."

Hela disappeared with a small smile, and Alex watched the statue crumble, burying the item with it. He then shifted his attention to the system notifications.

[ Completion: 80% ]

[ Imagination

Type: Skill- Passive

Element: None

When you've reached a high comprehension of an element, you're able to manipulate that element using your imagination. ]

Alex looked at the skill in utter disbelief! The skill was something that not even deities have, as they have to follow the rule of mana. The rule of mana is that you need a spell structure to use an element, but to control an element without it would be immensely powerful. Alex was glad he had chosen the mage statue, but he wondered what the other skill would do. Alex went to the warrior statue and agreed to challenge it. A young man with white hair and blue eyes appeared in front of Alex. He had a small smile and then said,

"Hey! How are you? I can see that you've already completed Hela's trial. My trial is also simple, and it's just a spar. If you perform adequately, then you pass; if I decide you didn't, then you don't. Don't worry, I won't kill you."
