Duty farewell and freedom

After noon, there was a tour of the church, which also pleased Mortis because he could not even look at everything because of all the hustle and bustle. Daniel said he had 10 copies which he sold and so he sold them to the orders who had the most copies and in a few minutes he had more than 25,000 gold, which made Daniel happy because one book cost him 10 coppers from his store, but his system suggested him to do such an auction.

Mortis already had a book but he didn't look at it himself until shortly before the wedding so he couldn't answer anything the representatives asked and so he gladly left the stage to Daniel.

After 3 hours of discussing and listening to questions, Mortis and Daniel finished this event and Daniel still had a lot to talk about with Mortis. In Daniel's room, where he was feeling more and more comfortable, Daniel began to explain to Mortis that he can travel with a certain amulet from past cemeteries if he only goes to one age, so it becomes a portal, so Mortis should save more cemeteries faster so that he has more points where he wants to travel. Mortis should also become the first instructor for his subclass, the Death Guard, who also fights with scythes but is a weaker, not as flexible class as his.

But Mortis also made it clear that he would be ready to give a couple of courses in 6 weeks at the most, because he had to leave tonight and his noble duties demanded a lot of his time.

After everything was cleared Mortis went listlessly to the castle he only wanted to fight to become stronger and here and there to put one away but it seems that nobles as well as his goddess managed to bind him to these worldly offices.

In the castle, Jochen William and Lares were already waiting for him, as they now also set out to disappear. William was looking forward to Mortis' arrival in Amber, since it is close to Aachen, while Mortis was more worried about Helga, who was already standing in the hallway with her things packed.

She had so many worries and so much fear that Mortis would reject her at some point and that he would only want to protect her, but when he so gently told her that he loved her, she was the happiest woman of all and she let all her feelings run free.

After she calmed down and Mortis stroked her gently on the back of her head again and again, she released herself, wiped away her tears and without looking back, she quickly left the castle because she just wanted to get everything over with quickly, with Fiora and Jochen following her.

Also Mortis had some tears in his eyes because he really realized only now how much he loves his wife and he hopes that everything ends well.

Lares and William were already secretly leaving when they saw Mortis approaching Helga, because they wanted to give them their privacy. When Helga was gone, the other barons under Mortis came out of the dining room and said goodbye. Vincent said happily with a tap on Mortis shoulder "I hope you can love my daughter as much as I love you, I know how you feel but it all comes with time, don't overextend yourself". So he said goodbye and went with Jana, Frieda to the carriage where Janna still had questions but she said to herself that now she can come back more often because of her daughter.

The castle was getting emptier and emptier which was fine with Mortis because he still had some things to clear up with his wives and Jasmine before he left. So Mortis went with the women to the dining table to ask them if they had understood everything so far and what has priority.

Leonie asked Mortis how he would like to get the Amen not to fall back into a swamp and join the wrong cause or give themselves over to alcohol or swamp weed. Sophia wondered why Mortis was back in the church, but when she saw the altar become a portal, it was clear that Mortis' journey was continuing. When he disappeared Daniel came from upstairs and asked Sophia what was going on but she just hacked him and said. Oh the hero is on the road again come let's have dinner honey. Daniel looked at the statue of his goddess and again could not believe his luck and gratefully he went with his wife to their living compartment.

Mortis opened the map and was happy to have this method of travel so he could use the runestone without fear of having to walk or ride all the way back. Even though he had some worries and felt a bit crushed by his new position, he was free as a bird when he traveled and he loved it. Mortis thought about what he is actually capable of the human body can do a lot of things that no one believes is possible but Mortis rarely tested it out especially not moving things like acrobatics or floor gymnastics he was a soldier in his old life after that he was a fitness junkie but so far he has been a fitness junkie. he was a fitness junk but something like parkour or gymnastics was never his but now he had a flexible body and Mortis wanted to know what he was capable of and like a happy child he went to the dungeon trying to do somersaults, jumps with rolls and much more.

Through his newfound perception, he could now feel and understand his body much better and so he learned very quickly what he was doing wrong when one would have seen him as he would have gone through the forest with rolls and backward and forward flips so they thought he was crazy but Mortis had his fun why not he was 16 again with a beautiful agile body and who knows if that can not also affect his fighting in any way.

He ran towards trees and tried to run as high as he could or then jump off with backflips with ghost plates to take another direction it was a game at first but Mortis realized that he can change positions very quickly with the ghost plates and not just get up high.

This went on for about 4 hours until he finally found peace, then he realized that he just needed to have some fun and vent with a satisfied grin he wandered through the forest while the moons lit his way.
