Never did I think I would end up following this guy home. Not like I had anything to lose, he already knew what my identity was... So there was no point. Why didn't I leave him be and do my own work was beyond me, but, there was something strange about him...
He didn't strike me as the criminal type, dangerous, yes. But not a villain. Maybe it was my inner cat senses that told me so... Either way, from what I can tell, he's pretty chill to be around, albeit, a little rediculous. But I'll still have to watch out for him in case he does anything...
"We're here, it isn't much, but it gets the job done," He said, I shrugged a bit, the place was like him, large and bricked. Still, I was unsure why I came to his place despite me meeting him earlier in the day.
'This is straight-up dumb, but I'm already here...' I retrospected a little to myself. He went inside the building. I followed after, and interestingly enough, it was empty on the first floor, with spare rooms too...
'He lives alone... Figures.'
We made our way upstairs, he stopped at what seemed to be his room. He went in, motioning me to do the same. I walked in to see a well-organized space, fit with necessities...
"Your home is pretty neat, not gonna lie. You live alone too, any reason for that?" I asked him. I was a little curious.
"We're close, but not that close, if we get to know each other some more, maybe, I'll tell you, but let's sort out that homework of yours first before we get to that." He said.
Mystery, I like that. He didn't get charmed by me, he's one of the few who didn't fall for that one. I respected that, he wasn't easy...
"Alright part pooper, let's get this over with," I said. He shrugged instead.
I went over to his bed. Sitting on it.
"We won't be helping you on my bed, we start over here," He said, pointing to a table with two chairs.
I rolled my eyes at his proposal, but work is work, and it won't finish itself.
So I went over sitting down at the table. I took out the book and textbook I needed to help guide me through my assignment. Waiting on him. I heard his footsteps, and now that I thought about it, he sounded like he weighed over a ton.
That should've been impossible given his build...
'How the hell did he sneak past me?' I asked myself, really wondering why.
He came sitting down, this time without his jacket. And I have got to say, he was ripped, shredded, and lean. Something I didn't think was humanly possible... Humans cant look like that, we humans can't be all three, yet here he was. Defying the bit of muscle physiology as I knew it.
Still, I've gotta admit, taking a closer look, his body was pretty freaking sexy. Not that I would admit that though...
"Ready to work?" He asked me, now much closer than we should be.
He looked towards me. His blue eyes met mine. That icy blue tint was a killer, contrasting with his light caramel skin tone, his long eyelashes, hunter-like eyes, and his rather sharp and angular features. He was handsome, really, really handsome...
Catching myself, I looked at my book, staring at the question.
'I got lost in how he looked for a moment.'
"Ah... Yeah, let's start. We start here, I can't figure it out." I asked him, I pointed him to the hardest question I knew of, it was a challenging question that my teacher came up with, he would even pay us a thousand dollars if we could solve it. Keyword, 'if'.
As I asked, I saw him examine the question with a look of boredom. He reminded me of Peter in that regard...
"The teacher/professor who gave this question is a bastard. Or he is scouting for a genius if he actually expects any of you to solve this... You go to college, right? What semester?" He asked.
"I'm in the first semester..." I responded a bit hesitantly.
He picked up on the question instantly. Still, why does he say it like he was ahead of me by leagues? As if he could solve it instantly.
"Lend me our textbook, I want to see something." He asked. I pushed it toward him.
"knock yourself out, if you can even solve it..." I muttered the last bit.
He took it from me, and immediately, he wore a bored expression again. He scanned through the book, skipping pages within seconds or less. And soon, he finished. closing the book.
"Alright, what I have now should make this simple to solve... Oh and, I'll take this one on, you won't be able to solve it at your level, trust me." He said, instantly he grabbed my book and pencil.
I doubt he would solve it either.
I saw him draw some equations. Equations the book didn't even cover... And soon, he finished the question at blinding speed...
"Mind telling me what that question was about?" I asked.
"... Your teacher just gave you, phenomena like equation, specifically, your textbook calls it the 'Navier strokes equations' ... Think of it as trying to solve how water from a garden hose flows. Not saying it was the same thing, but it should serve as an example..." He said, placing my book down.
"I-I see..." That's all I could say.
"Oh, and that question can't be worth any less than a million dollars, your teacher is ripping you off badly, so take it to a physicist so they can study it, and maybe you can take home some money." He told me.
'No wonder no one could solve it, that bastard!' Anyway, it didn't matter, I'll just turn it in tomorrow. But I need to look up a physicist to help get this sorted out.'
"Well, we have more to do, mind helping me, panther?" I said, teasing him a bit.
"Barely a night and I get called panther? That's interesting. But sure. I'll help you." He told me.
'It really was an interesting night.' I think I'll like being here...
