Chapter 8 - Awakening P-2

As Ravenna began to understand the power of destruction and creation, fire and water, positive and negative, memories surged into her mind.

It was like two streams of water from different rivers merging into one main river. The first queen's knowledge flowed into her, blending seamlessly with her own thoughts.

She soon began to levitate from the ground, her eyes crackling with lightning and echoing with thunder.

Her hair, once platinum white, transformed into a golden, thunderous hue, rising and swirling around her.

Her hands moved in opposite directions, trying to balance the two opposing forces within her.

In simple terms, it was like the balance between king and queen, male and female, where the king represents destruction and the queen represents creation.

In this endless circle, the male embodies destruction while the female embodies preservation.

This perfect balance united the power of destruction and creation within her.

Among the ten seals inside her, which were locked and could be only opened through trials, the first trial was to escape the secret chamber.

As she wandered endlessly in the dreamlike void, Ravenna understood that the first trial was to learn her own power: the balance of destruction and creation.

With this understanding, the first seal broke, unlocking the first stage of her power, called "Eclipsed Genesis."

After breaking the seal, she came back down to the ground of the secret chamber.

Her hair, which had turned a thunderous color, went back to its platinum white color, and her eyes changed from golden back to normal.

In her awakened state, she raised her hand and snapped her fingers. With just that snap, the illusion and space magic that made the secret chamber shattered.

It was like a room made of an infinite number of mirrors being hit by a single stone. The mirrors cracked, and the whole room broke apart, leaving the secret chamber completely destroyed.

Ravenna stood among the pieces, her heart steady and her determination stronger than ever.

"What is this power?" Ravenna mused aloud, her voice filled with confusion and awe.

Ravenna felt a mix of emotions. She was bewildered, like a sailor suddenly finding land after days lost at sea.

She had broken free from the illusion with just a snap, as if her unconscious mind knew what to do, but her conscious mind was still struggling to understand it.

She began to question herself, trying to grasp the power of the first seal, "Eclipsed Genesis."

She looked at her hands in amazement. Her left hand glowed with a blue energy, calm and gentle like a peaceful river.

Her right hand, however, was surrounded by a red, hot, and destructive energy, powerful yet not harming her.

"Congratulations, my child," a voice echoed. It was the First Queen.

A floating light circled around her, the consciousness of the First Queen that had now become part of her. This light began to explain the power of the first seal.

"The first seal combines the forces of destruction and creation. This power is a balance between two opposing energies, showing your growth and understanding of your abilities."

Ravenna listened intently. She learned that she could perform this ability that seamlessly blended creation and destruction.

She could disintegrate objects or living beings with just a touch and then restore them to their original form.

"So you can only use these abilities of destruction and creation with a touch?" Ravenna asked.

"Yes," the First Queen replied.

"You cannot create something from nothing. With this first seal, you can only destroy and create things that already exist in reality. You cannot destroy or create something that does not exist."

Ravenna nodded, starting to understand. This power allowed her to manipulate what was real, to control and balance destruction and creation in this world.

"With just this first seal, I gain such power," Ravenna murmured, her voice filled with a mix of amazement and disbelief.

She felt bewildered, yet a new sense of confidence rose within her.

As a child, she had known nothing about magic or any combat arts. Why was that? Her thoughts wandered back to her past, trying to understand why she, a princess, had never learned anything about magic even at the age of eighteen.

Ravenna recalled her childhood, a time filled with the perfect love of her family.

Her mother showered her with motherly affection, always by her side and even sacrificing herself to protect her and help her escape from the war through a hidden tunnel.

Her father, with his protective and fatherly love, made sure she never felt any fear.

Her brother, the best brother she could ask for, cared for her deeply, always swearing to protect her and helping her with any problem she faced. It was like living in a dream of a perfect family.

But now, she began to suspect something. No one in her family had ever tried to teach her any magic or how to wield a sword.

Not once did they bring up the importance of learning to protect herself or attack if needed.

Her parents had created a world of perfect peace and harmony around her, a world so safe that she never felt the need to learn any magic or combat skills.

Ravenna stood there, pondering these thoughts, feeling a mix of gratitude for the love she received and frustration at the lack of preparation for the harsh realities of the world.

She realized now that with this new power from the first seal, she had a lot to learn and a long way to go.

But what was this feeling within her? As she put her hand on her heart and closed her eyes, a strange sense sneaked in.

It was like trying to catch smoke with your fingers - suspicious yet hard to grasp.

How could she suspect her family, who had given her so much love? It felt like a thorn in her heart, small but sharp, making her question the very love she had always trusted.
