Jay in Action

As they ventured deeper into the alley, the sensations grew more intense, but at a certain point, the man holding the drunk girl stopped.

Jay turned around as if that would help him go unnoticed by the man.

"I advise you to turn around and disappear from my sight; bad things will happen if you don't leave."

"Sorry, pal, but we are the law, so let me tell you, you're under arrest." Jay said these words while pulling out his gun and pointing it at the man from a distance.

The man smiled slightly, threw the drunken woman against a trash container, and before Jay could react, he made a move.

"Get down!" Anton pushed Jay out of the parasite's range while simultaneously dodging the blade that sped towards his neck.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

In three consecutive slashes, the surroundings were cut like butter. It was clear that these blades were of perfect quality, which meant further investigation into evolving human armament would be necessary.

"Stay back!" Anton, after creating some distance, immediately ran towards the parasite.

The parasite saw Anton approaching at superhuman speed and tried to stop him with an attack, but it couldn't predict Anton's speed and flexibility, so it failed.

Crack!

Anton's knife plunged into the parasite's throat with such force that it sent the creature crashing into a wall, which cracked moments later.

But to Anton's surprise, the parasite, which should have died, instead began to mutate, causing him to step back once more.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three silver bullets embedded themselves in each of the werewolf's limbs. In the midst of its metamorphosis, it could do nothing but endure, and when the transformation was complete, it attacked Anton.

Boom!

Anton withstood the impact with wristbands that were a technological replica of the Predator's armament, and although still in the beta phase, they had just saved his arm.

This was a gamble; Anton wanted to test how much he could rely on technology, but he still covered his skin with darkness, which gave him an extra layer of security.

"I got you."

Clang!

In seconds, long before the werewolf could attack Anton, darkness emerged from the shadows, binding the werewolf's limbs and preventing it from moving.

"They are a threat to most soldiers, but certainly for someone like me, they are not a problem to worry about." Anton looked at the hideous appearance of this dark entity, controlled by a parasite.

What everyone didn't know was that this parasite didn't even control 40 percent of the werewolf's body. Its constitution was different from that of a normal human, making it more complex due to its entire makeup.

This parasite shouldn't have known it was controlling a much more complex body than a human's; the control it needed to avoid losing control was enormous.

"At least you have taught me much more about the parasites. Their clear weakness in controlling other species is truly an advantage for us." Anton drew a much larger gun than before and aimed it at the heart.

Bang!

The bullet pierced the chest of the dark entity. The parasite's regeneration couldn't be complete, even if this bullet didn't completely destroy its heart, because it was a silver bullet, the weakness of dark entities.

These weaknesses passed to the parasite, making it vulnerable once more. This would greatly assist Anton in the report he would later publish about the parasites.

"Step aside, Guardian. I got this." Jay returned with an RPG and aimed it at the dying, dark entity.

Anton's eyes widened in shock—where had this agent gotten a weapon of mass destruction?

"Don't shoot; it's already dead."

Jay was about to pull the trigger when he suddenly felt his body freeze for a few seconds. He took a deep breath and looked again at the dark entity's withering body.

"For God's sake, that thing is really dead. Holy mother, I've never seen something as disgusting as this."

Anton watched as the dark entity's body withered and murmured, "It seems this is the common outcome upon death; what a mess."
