Chapter 31: Stuff of legends

Chapter 31: Stuff of legends

Waylen's POV

When I was five years old, my mother, the late Queen Miracle Alana Cole told me that in life there were two kinds of people, sheeps and wolves.

The latter were hunters and the former - preys, the trick was to be a hunter.

So, I became a wolf both literally and figuratively. I have a feeling that so was the girl in front of me.

I stared at Emily, a girl who for some reason understood me without trying and who I found fascinating.

With her crescent shaped eyebrows and her hair which was the darkest shade of black I have ever seen...as dark as the night itself, she was beautiful in every way that matters.

I was drawn to her big green eyes which had an unending curiosity to them. They were the eyes of a girl who got herself into mischief all the time. A girl who was used to hiding her wild side for the sake of people who didn't understand her.

I would never do that to her.
