Chapter 114: A girl named Jen

Waylen's POV

My laughter echoed. I just couldn't help myself. I am naturally not a very mean person but good lord! I couldn't stop laughing until I saw Cassie's face.

"I am sorry…it's just…there is really a God!" I said and laughed harder.

"Well, laugh all you want but you know me. I want to be a mom, Wally and I…I…need your help"

I stopped and looked at her.

"What the hell does that mean?" I asked her

Cassie exhaled like she usually does when she is trying to steady her nerves.

"The king doesn't mind how…he wants me to be happy but his only request is the child be of his blood. And that leaves me with two options…you or your father's brother, Wally" Cassie said.

I froze. The amusement left my body.

From a young age, it was drilled into me that I wasn't allowed to be ordinary. I was born to be exceptional.

My mother's exact word was extraordinary.
