To Bloody a Witch

After the birth of Chiro, I had to think about Furia's xeno hunt. The problem being that the population of morons I was using, only have so many sacrifices to give. Time for some crop rotation. I need a new superstitious population to use.

While thinking, Furia comes to my side.

"Bido, I heard from Arla a bit of how this whole Blooding thing works. As a witch, the ritual sacrifice has me interested. Why is that a requirement?"

Telling her about the sacrifices won't give her any advantage during the hunt. So I don't have a reason to not explain it. Best to satisfy a witch's questions too.

"It is rather simple Furia. Xenomorphs are parasitic predators. A host will actively try to get rid of a parasite. Not that a host ever succeeds in rejecting a xenomorph. However, that does not mean the xenomorph is not harmed. It will be slightly weaker and a bit less intelligent in most cases. The magnitude can vary though. A host that is willing is a different matter.

With a conscious acceptance, the body's defenses are greatly reduced. Resulting in xenomorph being born with the best intelligence and strength it can have. It even increases the chance of mutation. The sacrifice being female furthers these ends. As they are uniquely suited as a xenomorph will hijack female pregnancy systems. Draining more nutrients than from a male body.

A famous xenomorph named "Six" was abnormally intelligent. The Hunter that took its head was satisfied for life with that kill. Besides tradition, this is the reason for the sacrifices. Oomans, or humans as you know the, were a favorite sacrifice my people used."

Furia was satisfied with the explanation as she commented, "So the reasoning is purely scientific. Quite funny for a ritual sacrifice to be scientific, haha."

I chuckle too, "Yes, funny thing it is."

She asked, "So where are you getting your sacrificial stock from?"

"A small village on some backwater world. They are superstitious, and I've been taking advantage of that. However, the last offering was too soon. This will be the third offering I need. I would need to manufacture some disaster in order to get the sacrifices I need. However, that would be a waste. It would be better to pull from another source this time.", I answer.

Furia then offers me a solution, "Well, as a witch. It won't be difficult to make them willing. A little spell will be all it takes. As for the sacrifices, why not just buy some slaves from the Outer Rim. I'll cast a spell on them and they'll die with a smile."

I contemplate the idea, "I am unsure if the spell will be able to illicit the full effect though..."

Furia then tells another idea, "Well, the galaxy is a dark place. There are those out there that would pay to die in something like this."

I choke on air as she spoke, "You are on to something there I suppose..."

"Or, you could simply pay people to die. Promise to take care of their families and stuff like that.", she continues.

I grumble, "Too troublesome..."

We think together until Furia gains a wicked smile, "Back to the slave idea. There are slaves that are raised to be used in lethal games. Arena fights and other underground criminal activities. Those kinds of slave die willingly with near fanaticism. They'll be expensive, but it will work."

Thinking on her idea, it sounds good. Of course a witch will have such good ideas on this topic.

"Better they die for me than for some underworld scum anyways. Then we'll be buying six. I can guess we will be going to Nar Shadaa?"

She nods, "Yup, that place will have them. Nar Shadaa has all the evil shit down the levels."

I sigh, "Such a detestable place, but alright. However, before I go get the slaves. I need to attend to the Light."

Furia rolls her eyes, "Should have just learned witchcraft. You don't have to juggle any Sides. I'll leave you to it then Bido."

Once she leaves, I start equipping myself. The vacation is over. As for where I am going to meditate on the Light?

There is no better place than Dagobah.
