"Seems like you've figured it out, Aylin," Tanya continued her expression a mix of amusement and approval.
Aylin clenched her jaw, her frustration mounting. "Why? Are you surprised I did?" She retorted, not in the mood for any games.
Tanya's amusement grew, and she chuckled softly. "Maybe, a little."
Aylin smiled wryly, "Well, I'm sorry. I'm not what you think I am." She said before straightening herself and smoothing her appearance. "If you will excuse me, I need to go." With that, she walked past Rhea and headed for the garden's entrance, but before she could step out, Tanya's voice made her halt in her steps.
"It's funny, how the duke took an interest–"
"Lady Tanya, I would appreciate it if you could stop using this as an object of your entertainment." Aylin, without turning around, said in a firm and measured tone. She was done with the veiled provocations and amusing stares.
Without another word, she walked away.
