Crobat

"Scizor, you're up first!" Folker said with enthusiasm as he looked at Scizor. It then stepped forward in the battlefield and let out a sharp cry.

"Scizor!"

"Same as before huh? I guess you're up first, Golbat" Corin replied as he looked at Golbat's figure. It then stepped forward in the battlefield and let out a sharp cry in response.

"Golbat!"

Scizor and Golbat looked at each other warily, as if they were in a staring contest. It lasted for a few seconds until Folker sighed and started the battle.

"Let's start with a [Bullet Punch], shall we, Scythe?" Folker said as he smiled while looking at Scizor. It nodded and channeled steel type energy on its fists.

It ran so fast, approaching Golbat as it prepared itself to let out a tough punch as fast as a bullet. Corin nodded at Golbat, as if they planned something beforehand.

Scizor then let out a touch punch with its right fist on Golbat. However, instead of trying to avoid it, Golbat intercepted it instead with [Wing Attack] and hit Scizor's fist while Scizor's attack landed on Golbat's face.

Golbat was pushed back from the impact and fell on the ground. It stood up and flapped its wings as it flew once again with a frown on its face.

Scizor, however, looked at Golbat with a smile on its face. From the looks of it, there wasn't that much damage. Such is the defense of a steel type Pokemon.

Corin frowned as he looked at the battle and let out a command "[Supersonic], now!"

Golbat then opened its mouth wide and emitted bizarre sounds that formed an invisible wave as it approached Scizor.

"[Bullet Punch] to the left side to dodge it!" Folker said in a hurry.

Scizor then channeled steel type energy on its right fist and let out a tough punch on the air as it moved to the left. It dodged [Supersonic] at just the nick of time.

"[Quick Attack]!" Corin shouted.

Golbat then flapped its wings faster and flew so fast towards Scizor without giving it a chance to dodge and hit its face with its wings.

"Follow it up with [Supersonic]!" Corin said.

Folker frowned when he heard Corin's command and hurriedly said "Interrupt it with [Bullet Punch]!".

Golbat opened its mouth quickly and tried to emit bizarre sounds at point blank range. Scizor then let out an undodgeable tough punch on its face in response.

Golbat was once again pushed back and fell down. It stood up in frustration and let out a sharp cry.

Suddenly, white light started to emerge from its face. The white light spread throughout its body as it dazzled with brilliance.

"It's evolving!" Folker said with a surprised expression on his face.

Golbat's evolution process attracted the attention of nearby trainers. They stopped whatever it is they're doing and looked at Golbat.

"Look! It's evolving in the middle of a battle!" a young trainer with spiky hair said.

"Amazing!" another trainer said with awe on his face.

At this time, a young man with red crew cut hair was about to make his exit on the battlefield when he noticed a commotion. He then curiously went to take a look and saw Golbat's evolution process.

He then turned his gaze on Folker and Corin's figure. He frowned and harrumphed loudly but then his lips suddenly curled up as he made his exit on the battlefield.

Corin and Chelsea didn't hear his harrumph but Folker noticed it but he just shrugged it off as someone jealous and didn't pay it any more attention.

The white blinding light then slowly disappeared from its body. At this moment, it took on the appearance of a purple, chiropteran Pokémon with a small, round body.

It has long, pointed ears, yellow eyes with red pupils, and a small mouth that usually has its teeth bared. On its body are two pairs of wings: an upper pair that is slightly larger and a lower pair that developed from its hind legs.

Both pairs have green-blue membranes, but the lower pair's membranes are only visible from the back. The upper wings have two claw-like fingers near the middle. On the bottom of its body are what appear to be a pair of stubby feet or tufts of fur. It then let out a sharp cry.

"Crobat!"

"Great job, Crobat!" Corin said with enthusiasm in celebration of Crobat's evolution.

"Let's resume the battle, shall we?" Corin then said with a smug expression on his face. Folker nodded in response to Corin's words.

"Crobat, use [Cross Poison]!" Corin said excitedly. This was a move it had never used before. Crobats usually learn [Cross Poison] upon evolving. As for the reason, no one knows.

Crobat then coated its wings with poison type energy and flapped its wings as it flew so fast towards Scizor's direction that it put its previous speed to shame. It then let out a slashing motion using its wings towards the dumbfounded Scizor and hit it successfully.

Scizor was hit but it was only pushed back for a little bit. It endured the hit as if it didn't damage it that much.

Looking at Scizor's figure, Corin then facepalmed himself, completely forgetting that Scizor is immune to Poison type attacks. However, while it's immune to poison type attacks, the impact still did damage to Scizor. It's just that the poison type energy didn't do a thing against it.

"Approach it closely and use [Supersonic], now!" Corin said hurriedly.

Crobat then flapped its wings faster and flew towards Scizor but it kept a certain distance and opened its mouth wide as it let out bizzare sounds.

Without waiting for its trainer's command, Scizor tried to dodge with [Bullet Punch] but Crobat was too fast for it to dodge and was hit by the waves.

From Scizor's point of view, the world started spinning. Scizor was in a confused state and couldn't discern Folker's commands. Well, not that it needed Folker to command it anyway since Folker only has one strategy prepared for Scizor.

"Wing Attack!" Corin said with a smile.

Crobat then flew so fast and hit Scizor with its wings. Scizor was pushed back but its confused state still wasn't over, making it even more frustrated as it gradually lost patience.

However, at this moment, it impatiently banged its head on the ground. It then stood up and shook its head for a while and fiercely looked at Crobat's figure without a hint of confusion on its face.

Corin looked at the scene with disbelief written on his face.

'To think I'd see this in the real world' Corin thought to himself.
