Ursaring's streamlined body helps reduce resistance while running. Its eyes are water-blue, its main color is light brown, with dark brown stripes on its body, and the pattern on its head resembles an arrow.
Its fur has excellent toughness and texture, making shaving brushes made from its shed hair top-quality products.
Ursaring charges straight at its prey, easily exceeding a speed of 100 kilometers per hour when running in a straight line.
It dodges obstacles by making sharp right-angle turns, being very poor at gradually turning. If it doesn't come to a sudden stop, it cannot turn.
Ursaring uses its tremendous explosive power and sharp claws to subdue its prey, but since it can only run in a straight line, it often misses its target.
When it spots prey in the water, it quickly pounces in, using its sharp claws to catch it.
Even after evolving, Ursaring didn't stop its pursuit but continued chasing Mightyena, soon disappearing from Rex's sight.
When Rex followed their tracks and caught up, Ursaring and Mightyena were already fighting.
At this time, Mightyena had several claw marks on its body, clearly Ursaring's doing. However, Ursaring looked more battered, with not only bite marks but also some bleeding scratches.
Suddenly, Ursaring stood up, and its two front paws rubbed against each other. As it did so, a dark energy flowed between its claws.
After completing the claw sharpening, it suddenly lunged at Mightyena. Its speed was so fast that Mightyena only reacted when Ursaring was already upon it.
Unable to dodge, Mightyena was struck hard by one of Ursaring's claws, letting out a miserable howl before being sent flying into a nearby tree and falling heavily.
Mightyena, severely injured by this blow, had blood seeping from the corner of its mouth and began to twitch. However, it did not resign itself to its fate and tried to struggle to its feet, but after many attempts, it failed.
Seeing Mightyena in such a pitiful state, Ursaring didn't continue its attack. Instead, it ran over to Rex and started wagging its tail frantically.
Rex, seeing this, patted Ursaring's head with satisfaction and then took out the Pokédex to check its latest information.
- Slash
- Hone Claws
- Fury Swipes
- Belly Drum
- Payback
Ursaring, after evolving, learned five new moves, including the stat-boosting Hone Claws and Belly Drum. With these two moves, Ursaring could significantly make up for its relatively low base stats.
As for the defeated Mightyena, Rex did not leave it behind but had Victreebel provide some treatment so that it wouldn't be attacked by other predators due to its severe injuries.
Rex believed that as long as it didn't endanger himself or lack food, he shouldn't harm other wild Pokémon unnecessarily. After all, these Pokémon were different from the animals of his previous life. Although their intelligence wasn't on par with humans, it wasn't far off, making them sentient beings.
Following this principle, whenever he took his Pokémon out to battle and train against wild Pokémon, he would help treat the injured ones and sometimes leave some food.
Therefore, when he sought out previously battled wild Pokémon for rematches, they generally did not refuse.
When Rex returned to the farm with the newly evolved Ursaring, he found that the egg-like Exeggcute had evolved into Exeggutor.
This delighted him, knowing that Exeggcute evolved due to its potential being stimulated in battle, whereas Exeggcute, staying on the farm with only some training, wouldn't typically evolve.
Exeggutor is a tall, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a coconut tree or palm tree. Its body and legs are light brown with thin black rings and its legs are thick with two-toed feet. There is a light yellow paw pad on each foot's underside. It has thin, green leaves sprouting from the top of its body. Exeggutor has three round, light yellow heads that resemble coconuts, each with different facial expressions.
Exeggutor's heads think independently and don't appear interested in one another, so it makes a lot of noise as each head speaks its mind. They still appear to get along, though, for they never squabble amongst themselves.
- Razor Leaf
- Giga Drain
- Confusion
- Psyshock
Through the Pokédex, Rex learned about the four moves Exeggutor mastered after evolving, significantly boosting its strength compared to before.
Through Ursaring and Exeggutor's demonstration, Rex finally understood Exeggutor's evolution process, though he found it somewhat amusing.
Exeggcute had a habit of secretly storing items, hiding leftover energy cubes and berries to eat later when hungry.
This habit was formed through harsh survival experiences in the wild, where they sometimes went days without finding food. Exeggcute's private stash had helped them through tough times before.
After today's training, Exeggcute felt hungry but, as it wasn't yet mealtime, decided to retrieve food from its private stash.
To its dismay, Exeggcute found its stored food gone, angering it greatly and vowing to find the thief.
After circling the tree hollow several times without finding any clues, Exeggcute grew increasingly frustrated, feeling like it had lost a fortune. In this enraged state, Exeggcute began to glow white, evolving into Exeggutor.
With its now highly sensitive noses, Exeggutor quickly detected an unusual scent, leading it to Ursaring.
Exeggutor confronted Ursaring, accusing it of stealing its stored food. Ursaring didn't deny it and admitted to eating it.
Ursaring had long known where Exeggcute stored its food and, needing energy after intense training, decided to borrow the food, planning to replace it with part of its dinner.
Hearing Ursaring's explanation, Exeggutor sighed helplessly. Despite being annoyed, it couldn't stay mad at its good friend.
Determined, Exeggutor decided to find a more hidden place for its food stash, ensuring Ursaring wouldn't discover it again.
After hearing the whole story of Exeggutor's evolution, Rex could only pat its head in congratulations.
With Exeggutor's evolution, all three had now completed their evolutions. With proper training, their strength would soon improve rapidly, moving them out of the weakling category.
