Episode 47: Genetic

Eventually everyone wakes up, Sabrina sitting in the Pokémon Center.

Leon: Oh hey, were you the one who brought us here?

Sabrina: No, it was the Pidgeot girl...

Leon: Oh, where is she?

Leon, Ivy, and Wart are taken to Otto's room. She is surrounded by multiple Chanseys and a nurse Joy.

Ivy: What happened...

Sabrina: She was fighting Team Rocket's leader after they took over the city.

Wart: Will she be okay?

Nurse Joy: We don't know. It's a severe injury so normal treatment won't work. We have multiple Chanseys rotating in and out using a modified version of Softboiled just the keep her alive. Even if this works it'll still take a couple of days for her to fully recover.

Leon: ...Ok. We'll be back in a few days to see how she's doing. In the meantime we're heading to Cinnabar Island.

Wart: Leon. We're not leaving her here. The league is on hold until she's okay. What if she doesn't make it and we're not here with her?

Sabrina: No, you guys should go. I wasn't much help but I was there to hear what she was telling Team Rocket's leader. The reason she went through all of this was so you guys could continue your journey. That's all she cares about and at the least you should fulfill her final wish of you guys becoming champions.

The 3 of them look at each other with a mutual agreement.

Leon: Otto, we'll be back, just hold out until then.

The group leaves to set off for their 7th badge. They return to Fuchsia City and uing Surf, they ride with Wart across route 19 and route 20 to Cinnabar Island.

Rai: Okay so without Otto a fire type gyms gonna be a little difficult with 2 people weak to fire and needing 4 challengers. Ivy, Una, which one of you are going to participate?

Ivy: I will, no offense Una but I think I'm more better suited for this.

Una: Alright, you guys got this.

Then, the Pokédex begins to rings. Mr. Fuji.

Mr. Fuji: Hello kids, I have a favor to ask. You all are heading to Cinnabar Island to challenge Blaine correct?

Leon: We're here right now.

Mr. Fuji: Even better. I used to live on Cinnabar Island before moving to Lavender Town. I was a researcher with Blaine and we would work in the Pokémon Mansion next to Blaine's gym.

They look over and see a disheveled building next to the gym.

Mr. Fuji: Unfortunately, an event left the mansion in its current state. I want you to find the remaining research left in the mansion and give it to Blaine.

Leon: What are we even looking for?

Mr. Fuji: Information on the genetic Pokémon, Mewtwo.
