The door to the lab swung open and Dragonite entered the Lab.

Everyone was stunned including Alice.

Daisy "Dragonite? Grandpa isnt she your Pokemon?"

Oak just laughed it off and said "Yes she is still my Pokemon. But she is the reason I wasn't able to find a starter for Alice"

Lan smiled as he figured it out and his eyes shown. Everyone was waiting for an explaniation from Oak.

Dragonite came up infront of Alice and gave her a hug and roared an affectionate tone. She then stepped back and turned around and with an arm and brought a Pokemon out from behind her.

It was affectionatly clinging on to Dragonite's arm untill Dragonite patted its head.

The room was silenced. It was a young Charmander who seemed to be a little timid infront of the group of people.

Oak smiled and said " This little boy is the son of my Charizard and Dragonite and is quite a Mama's boy. He is extremly curious but he seems a little timid right now."

Lan "An offspring of two Champions. Wow. I can see that it's fire on its tail burns brighter and stronger than the normal Charmander."

Oak nodded but didnt say anything taking pride in his Pokemon's offspring.

Dragonite spoke softly at Charmander who then turned to look at Alice with wide eyes. He then let go of his mom and ran over to Alice and jumped into her Arms.

Alice was all smiles and happily hugged Charmander and Dragonite. She was about to cry from happiness. Gary just pouted and muttered to himself in the corner.

Daisy saw this and took him into the other room to talk before he left.

Lan smiled at his sister and pulled out one of the Everstones from his bag and then gave it to his sister saying "This will prevent it from prematurely evolving so make sure to train it well."

He then scanned Charmander

Lan scratched the back of his head thinking 'He is totally overpowered' sweatdropping at what it might be like if he angered Alice in the future.

Oak then gathered evryone attention saying that he had supprises for them. He then brought everyone to the nursery where the three of the four eggs(vulpix hatched) the Lan brought back from his excursion where sitting in seperate incubators.

Oak "Now that I have your attention. I am going to give Alice and Levy an egg to take care of for their journey. He then pulled out two more Pokedex's and a couple more Pokeballs giving them to the stunned girls. The both of you are now sponsered by Oak Labs so once you reach your party limit all of your extra pokemon will be sent here for me and my staff to take care of. We can transfer them back to you anytime the only requirement is to work on the Pokedex for me.

The two girls smiled and gave Professor Oak a big hug.

Lan smiled and waited for their choice of egg. Alice pushed Levy to go first who smiled with eevee on her shoulder. She looked over the three eggs. The largest one was sky blue with white cloud marking on it, the medium one was a pure blue egg that looked like water and the last was by far the smallest and was a pure light pink egg.

Lan thought for a moment and asked the system to scan the eggs.

Lan took a deep gasp and screamed in his head 'The SYSTEM IS INCREDIBLE. IT EVEN TELLS ME WHEN EGGS ARE GOING TO HATCH. NEXT TIME I BET ON AN EGG HATCHING I WILL DEFINITLY WIN!!!! LUCK CANT STOP ME NOW!!!!!"

Lan had a funny look on the outside while he was screaming in his mind.

Levy then approached the all blue egg and said " I think I will take this one!"

Alice then skipped with Charmander towards the eggs. Both Alice and Charmander eyes skip over the pink egg and focus on the sky blue egg. "I think this one has a connection with us right Charmander?"

Charmander nodded with his eyes never leaving the egg " CHAR CHAR"

Lan and Oak where puzzeled by the words of Alice especially ' feeling a connection' but decided to not ask any questions.

Oak smiled and preceded to talk to the girls. He then heard the bell to the door of the Lab open and excuse himself. Lan snuck away while Levy and Alice where talking about packing and leaving.

Lan then silently slipped out the door. He didn't want to interrupt anyone. He didnt know how to say goodbye to the group but he wanted to advoid an outburst from Daisy and Alice which usually ends up with him getting hit on the head before he would do anything. ' I swear they hit harder than Z at times.'

Lan made his way outside he had somone he wanted to meet.

Lan made his way to the gate only to be confronted by a group of people that where talking about all of the new trainers. Pallet was a prettly large and closley knit town so many people knew one another.

Lan sighed and mumbbled to himself " So this is the crowd Gary brought. I thought that it might be larger for some reason. I guess the cheerleaders and car make up for that though."

Lan saw Gary come out and everyone started to cheer and chant his name. Gary started to give a speech about how he was the future Champion while Lan noticed a boy in his pajamas trying to get through the crowd.

When the boy got through he was taunted by Gary. Lan could clearly see the boy now and it was Ash Ketchum. "Looks like he overslept. Just like all Pokemon Masters." snickered Lan.

Ash left and entered the Lab. Lan was not here for Ash but for someone who always bailed him out of many situations. He spotted her at the back of the crowd trying to look over the sea of people. Lan made his way to her and preceded to tap her on the shoulder.

"Hello, Mrs. Ketchum are you here for Ash?" fully knowing the answer.

"Lan Douglas Wilder don't you sneak up on me again. I could have fainted because of that." she said with a flustered tone. She then smiled warmly and showed Lan the backpack and slothes in her hands. "Ash forgot everything this morning when he slept in, so I had to pack his bags for him."

"Wow, what would he do without you?"

"I don't know. But I know it is going to be tough now that the house is going to be so empty." She said with a reminicing face.

Lan nodded in agreement because the Ketchum's house is always lively when he came to visit. Lan knew that this would happen so he didn't want to miss his chance.

"Um, Mrs Ketchum can I give you a gift?"

She turned to him puzzeled and nodded "Yes only if you call me Delia like Daisy and Alice do."

Lan nodded and took a Pokeball from his waist while grabbing Ash's Clothes and backpack with the other hand. He then threw the Pokeball and Vulpix appeared. It looked around confused and focused on Lan backing away not wanting to go in the Pokeball again. It backed into Mrs. Ketchum who was very suprised. She bent down on her hand and knees and stuck her hand out to approach it. Vulpix was startled and then looked into her eyes. It then sniffed her hand and rubbed her head against it. It yipped and jumped into Delia's embrace.

Lan "You can take it as a gift from me and Professor Oak for helping to take care of the Girls and such. You have been so reliable and we would be in trouble if you had not of helped out."

She had tears in her eyes and gracefully took the Pokeball from Lan and put it in her backpack and smiled at Lan.

Suddenly they both heard "Mom?"

The two of them turned around and saw Ash holding a yellow mouse Pokemon. It had two red cheeks that where sparking with electricity.

Lan thought 'Isn't that the roudy Pikachu that Oak caught chewing wires in his Lab yesterday?'

"Ahh Ash, I came to bring you your clothes and bag for your journey. I packed a lunch in it also there are some extra clothes. There is a piece of paper and a checklist in case you forget something"

"Mom! Come on I am not a kid anymore! I am a Pokemon Trainer and the next Pokemon Master!" He shouted the last part of his sentence and accidentally squeezed Pikachu. The pokemon sent a large amount of electricity towards everone around him.

Lan narrowed his eyes and immedietly moved infront of Mrs. Ketchum using his Aura. When the lightning hit him it was absorbed into his body. Lan was startled and felt that his strength had just grown just a minascule bit. Which was great because he had been stagnet for a long tim. He was estatic.(pun by the way)

After people recovered from the shock Ash turned to Lan questingly asked: "What's your name again?"

Lan just froze with a forced smile on his face. Ash's mom hurridly interjected and told Ash "This is Lan Wilder a Researcher like Profesoor Oak. He has come over to our house many times and helped me cook and fix things around the house. He is also Alice's Older Brother."

Ash responded immedietly with an "Ohhhh" then nodded his head in understanding. "Alice and Gary I am definintly going to beat you."

Lan smiled "Well you better hurry up Alice and Gary have already left."

Ash then took all his clothes and backpack and with Pikachu still in his arms sprinted towards the exit of the town. "Bye, Mom I will contact you when I can."

Mrs. Ketchum started to cry and wave at her son.

Lan smiled and said "Mrs. Ketchum I am also leavins so I wont be around Pallet much more in the coming days. So take care, please."

"What?! YOU are leaving also?" She started to cry again and set Vulpix down who was licking her tears and pulled Lan into her embrace and hugged him. Lan hugged her also and they just stayed like that for a while.

She broke off the hug first and had an extremley red face. Lan asked "Are you sick?" while putting the back of his hand to her forehead.

She swatted his hand away and glared at him. "No."

She took a piece of paper out and and scribbled something on it "Here is my home number if you can call every once in a while. Alice has it memorized but I dont think you have it." She then handed the piece of paper to him. A pink tinge very briefly showed on her face but went away very fast.

Lan nodded and gave her a side hug saying "I never knew my actual mother and just grew up with my step mother. But I consider you one of the closest things I have to a mother. I will watch out for Ash and Alice. I will see you later as I have a lot of ground to cover today."

Lan waved at Delia and Vulpix before he set off out of town.
