After walking for a few hours more Aoki and Misty reached the area around Mount Moon.

Due to regular training, Aoki did his stamina was already high but Misty didn't have a lot of stamina so they had to walk slow.

" Huff - Huff ! after reach you will teach me stamina-increasing exercises, " said Misty as she drank another bottle of water. They were climbing an elevated plane so it was more difficult to walk than usual.

"Ohh you want to increase stamina right?" a grin surfaced on Aoki's face.

"I have a lot of ways to increase your stamina, you know what one of them is right"

Misty gave a nervous laugh and didn't say anything more.

" There's no hurry take your time," Aoki said.

This trip was productive so far.

Pokemon had plenty of battles against wild Pokemon too.

His new Nidoran was fascinated by Charmander and challenged him to a battle but lost in one move. This happened multiple times with the same outcome happening every time.

It seemed like Nidoran made Charmander his goal to surpass. Aoki applied weights to him and started his physical training and energy manipulation.

Near the entrance of Mount Moon, they found a camp that belonged to archaeologists.

Aoki mentioned the merchant that he brought the Pokemon egg from hearing which most of them became friendly with Aoki and Misty.

They said that they had found some fossilized parts of Pokemon after digging so they were searching for a complete fossil that can be revived.

Due to the infestation of wild Pokemon they didn't go deeper. Moreover, they don't want to disturb the habitat of wild Pokemon by digging too much.

It was already night when they reached the camp so they decided to rest and train for the rest of the time and enter Mt.Moon tomorrow.

For Weepinbell he asked him to increase the speed of Solar Beam while Pidegotto to increase her speed as always. This area had a lot of rocks so her next training plan was to try to break as many rocks as she could using her feet and beak.

Charmander was tasked to increase his firepower even more.

Dragon-type energy was known for its overwhelming power so he wanted Charmander's firepower to reach that level along with his dragon-type energy.

The next morning Aoki and Misty woke up to a commotion in the camp.

When Aoki asked what happened they replied that two of them had entered Mount Moon last night for some survey but didn't return yet. Some of them went to look for them but couldn't find them. When they tried going deeper their Pokemon got injured so they had to retreat.

Aoki promised them he would try to find them. The archaeologists gave Aoki a map on which their last camp was located. Lastly, they gave a warning not to use too much light inside as Zubats would attack them more.

Repels would be very effective due to the sheer number of wild Pokemons inside the cave.

Aoki and Misty entered Mount Moon and immediately met with wild Geodudes, but Aoki didn't disturb them and moved forward.

" Dark places are always creepy, who knows what might pop out from somewhere, " said Misty as she walked behind Aoki.

Charmander was walking in front of them illuminating the path ahead.

Occasionally they were attacked by some Zubats which Misty defeated with Poliwag as her Poliwag was close to evolution.

As they went deeper, the number of Zubats increased a lot giving them quite a bit of trouble.

After walking for a few hours they came to the marked location where a tent and some lights were set up by the archaeologists.

On the way to his place, they came across many holes and fossils that the archaeologist would excavate later.

"Let's take a break here…I am tired from all these Zubats " Misty huffed and put down her bag.

When they were resting, they were approached by a group of Paras led by a Parasect.

This species was known for producing medicinal and poisonous mushrooms on their back even at low investments. These Pokemon are mostly used by doctors or botanists.

The gaze of the group was on the food in Aoki's hand. Aoki thought of an idea and asked for some poisonous and medicinal mushrooms from them in exchange for food which they agreed happily.

Aoki called out to Nidoran and fed him the poisonous mushrooms and told him the process to create the poison sack.

Nidorans also had poison sacks when they evolved into Nidorino which Aoki wanted him to create it before evolution.

The poison from the Mushroom of Parasect was on par with Arbok so the process would be easier.

Weepinbell started guiding Nidoran about the process of Poison sack while at the same time giving him some of his Poison.

Misty left like Aoki was doing everything and she was leeching off so she too started learning cooking from him which she never bothered to do. Surprisingly she was not so bad at it and learned at an average pace.

" My sisters would be surprised seeing me cooking. "said Misty as she remembered when she used to throw tantrums for not getting tasty food from her sisters. Now she realized how difficult it was to cook

They continued their journey but now stronger opponents like Onix, Gravellars and occasionally Golbat started appearing.

Goldbats gave Misty a harder time due to their speed, but her Pokemon overcame those hurdles with great difficulty.

After continuous fighting, her Poliwag finally evolved into a Poliwhirl. Misty was very happy as having arms was a huge power boost for her Pokemon.

Now they started walking down the path that was not described on the map as Aoki wanted to give his Pokemons some training.

Weepinbeel, Pidgeotto, and Charmander were free to attack as they liked but Aoki commanded Nidoran in every move as he was competing with intermediate rank pokemon with Junior level strength.

They continued their journey without sleeping as it would be dangerous to sleep now. As they continued they saw human blood spilled on the way and some broken cages and signs of struggle.

Aoki felt something was wrong.

" Misty, increase your vigilance. Something is not right. It is too quiet, " said Aoki. Misty became serious and warned her Pokemon to be cautious too.

They started walking cautiously and reached a chamber from where he smelled the scent of blood.

Aoki's pokemon felt threatened and warned Aoki.

" Charmander use flamethrower on the roof in front of you "

Charmander blasted a pillar of flames at the roof which was countered with a dark blue glowing ball.

But the flame scattered around was enough to see the situation. On the roof were hanging 2 peak intermediate-rank Crobats and a couple of Golbats.

The Crobats were about 1.8 meters tall and looked at Aoki with extreme hostility.

On the ground bodies of Pokemon and humans were laid whose blood was being sucked by Zubats.

" Oh No! " Misty exclaimed after seeing the condition of the people.

"This is bad ...

The Crobats were a major problem.

Even at the intermediate rank, they were one of the fastest and most Venomous Pokemon. One Crobat is acceptable but two Crobat in the wild are concerning.

He was going to fight two Pokemon that were in their last evolution.

"Misty deal with the Golbats, I will fight the Crobats "

Either something has happened deep in the Mt. Moon so they migrated forward or someone released their Crobat in the wild.

Either way, since they have come in the vicinity of Crobats, they cannot leave without a battle.
